Fingerpicking style guitar is used in virtually all styles of music and therefore is really useful to learn. Whilst fingerpicking guitar is most associated with acoustic guitar you don't need to learn fingerpicking guitar on an acoustic guitar as it can sound just as good on an electric guitar. Fingerstyle guitar is used in classical guitar, folk, bluegrass, rock, blues, jazz and virtually any style of guitar you can mention.
This is a series of carefully designed progressive guitar lessons that will carry you through from an absolute beginner on the guitar to a good level of proficiency in fingerstyle guitar. The GCH Guitar Academy guitar lessons are published to UA-cam on a weekly basis just as if you were having private guitar lessons but with the advantage of having the guitar lessons exactly when and where you want them. This gives you time to practice the lessons on your guitar between lessons so that you get the most from each guitar tutorial and achieve your goals as a guitar player.
You will need some basic knowledge of guitar chords to do this course and basic knowledge of how to read guitar tablature so therefore I recommend you view the following 2 videos before starting on this guitar course.

Very well done. My only Teacher was a Blues/Fusionist named Dan Dickson. He taught me the fingerpick pattern at 12. That same year I had "Dust in The Wind" down perfectly. Now, at almost 50 I wish I had stuck with lessons in Classical & Flamenco. Oh well. You young Musicians have it very good with all these great tutorials and tabs for free. We had to buy Guitar magazines or ask someone to copy it for us.

I only start your first lesson last nigth.............and this morning my wife accompanied me to Brokevalle musical store and bought me the Yamaha guitar the good one...top of the range,,,,,,,,,,then goes straight to work in Canterbury Hospital......then I went to my work work too........but when I arrived home this afternoon.....I went straight to your lesson one and I am excited to play my New Yamaha.........but I forgot to cook the food and my wife is now arriving.....and she is now plenty of Bla Bla Bla ....because she is very hungry.................I will keep practicing the lesson 1till next month february I will let you know my emprovement...before I will go to lesson 2........Thank you my freind.....

Best guitar tutorial videos on youtube hands down. I have seen many vidoes, most are short and very vague and only wants you to buy their programs. @@guitar-academy It should be the other way around. I want to thank you very much for these awesome tutorial videos. It has helped me tremendously as a beginner trying to learn how to play. I watched all the other videos on youtube and hardly improved. As soon as I found your channel, I was hooked and my playing have improved tremendously. All the details and step by step instructions. Even little things like adding the metronome beats at the end, the lessons in playing at different beats and speeds. It is just truly amazing. I have gone through every one of your videos and have them in loops and repeated them over and over and saw huge improvement in my playing. This channel should be the benchmark for guitar tutorials for people that wants to learn. No I am not a paid troll, I really encourage everyone to watch all their videos if you are struggling and want to learn. Once again thank you very much for the time and the great content.

I have to rest my fingers, I haven't played a cord in 4 months, step by step I'll get this. I noticed my hand lifting so I planted my pinky down so it's adjusting also, perfect I'm a complete rookie in progress.
