Scary thing to say the least…Kids growing up with less socialization and coping skills. We are human and are social creatures…computers cannot replace that…especially at a 100% replacement factor without ramifications.
You say that but to be honest my favourite interaction as a child and a significant part of my childhood was with a computer back in the 80s/90s....I think there are adults today that can be reflected upon now. Ok but the content is different granted and that's they key here, not the computer, it's the content
@ I personally think small children should not have access to devices such as computers and phones. TV should be little to none. When they’re older I think it should be restricted. Social media is a separate topic, but I won’t allow my kids to have it. It’s poison. Children need to be living IRL. Just my opinion. You are at peace with your childhood. That’s cool 👍🏻.
@@4787fhjjkthe skills I learnt as a child playing with computers allowed my mind to grow and be one curious about and understand computers extensively and allowed me to be successful now. It gave me a solid background, I think people overly simplify the issue. Should they be a childs entire world, no, but then nothing should, even a individual friendship in the same way with someone IRL is equally unhealthy. Is social media corruptive though, absolutely, in the same way any rhetoric can be of an ideal that preconceives what someone should look be or act like. Computers, social media bullying, people who are just mean, these are the things children need to have exposure to as they grow up so they can understand and know how to use them and dismiss them when they are older. In the same manner the first time your child gets drunk (legally) would you want that to be under your roof as a parent or out in some random bar.
I wonder if Eric feels any responsibility for his part in creating the monster, or does he just rationalise it as simply building a platform and getting rich like someone else would do?
It’s a comment on parenting - learned skill that essentially teaches and transfers reflective conscious living. If you haven’t put the effort into yourself and your child within the first ten years - we’ll have a good look at yourself if you can.

When your child’s best friend is a computer you have failed as a parent.

My wife said her best friend was a hitachi, but a computer might be worse!

Frankenstein didn't intend to build a monster, after it lived he understood what he had done.
You don’t decide what is bad and good speech bub.

I think it would be an interesting development. Opium for the masses.
Well my wifes best friend runs on batteries, but lucky for me it can't hold an intelligent adult non poo joke conversation like her husband can.
❤❤
