Sir I lived in Fairbanks Alaska for ten years and worked as a cashier all of those years. This allowed me to handle money every day, so if a strange coin or dollar bill came through my till I would show it to the ladies in the cash office. And ask if I could exchange the value for value of the item, example: give them a modern quarter for a much older silver quarter or dime. I believe that someone must have received some coins and didn't know their value or stole from their grandparents some older coins. Anyway, one weekend I had a bunch of rare coins come through my till. I got permission from my boss on duty that night to pay the street value for these coins. One of them was a Canadian silver coin with a man's head on it and it says "King George" on it. I am 56 years old and I don't remember any other British monarchy figures but Queen Elizabeth in my life time. So of course I am not sure about this coin but I get for a quarter just because it seems to be made of silver. Is there anything you can tell me about my King George coin Sir?
