Preparation for the interview
Research the career area for which you are applying
Ask yourself why you actually want to work for this employer, and how you stand out from others, enthusiasm is important.
Re-Read your application form as if you were the employer, think of all the questions that you might be asked and decide upon answers in your head for them, try to think of the awkward situations that you might be faced with and how you would handle them.
Prepare some questions for the interviewer E.g. How much will I be paid?
Plan how you will actually get to the interview, leaving time to prepare and incase of any unforeseen circumstances such as traffic jams.
Dress as smart as you can (depending on the nature of the job) but more than likely you should wear smart clothing.
Use a small notepad to take down any notes that you may need from the interview (useful information that might be given in the interview)
Take anything with you that might make you stand out from others such as a portfolio.
Smile, make eye contact, shake hands.
Describe situations where you have worked under another leader, on your own or where you worked in a group as a leader.
