Yes. I would like to see more videos like this discussing Chinese culture. This video was very informative.
Dating in America varies from person to person. But traditionally, the man should pay for everything on dates at first and sometimes the woman should pay for some. Just sometimes. The man should pay for everything most of the time. Things are changing where it's more 50/50. I disagree with it but that is how it is changing.
When it comes to being in a serious relationship it is frowned upon for a woman to ask a man to be her boyfriend. I think it's okay, but many people do not.

Yes you are right. Everything changed. Now most of the people living in confusion. People, they really don't know how to act such a situation, because nobody wants to insult others or feel bad like taking advantage of others. I think the better way is, try to avoiding such a situations....😁😁😁

剛看完了我來說一說自己的看法。在關係方面，住在一個小地方和住大都市完全不一樣確實很自然的，因為大都市有兩個大優點。第一個是anonymity（匿名？），我的意思是如果住在農村，小鎮等人口很小的地方，每個人都會互相認識，所以沒有什麼私生活。第二個呢，就是大都市人多。找對象的時候，雙方合不來，就換人比較容易。分手後根本不需要繼續看前男女朋友了而這樣在農村什麽的好像不可能。

In the Philippines, mostly the guy will pay for everything, but the girl can return the favor by treating the guy on e in a while or for example the guy buy tickets for movies and girl would be buying the drinks.

There is an aspect of dating a Chinese woman that has puzzled me for a while. Chinese ladies seem more concerned about their partner's past. They always ask me how many women I have been with and why we broke up. Women of other nationalities are not so thorough in their questioning. What are your thoughts on this?

@@Yeahapple Thank you for your answer. A woman is right to be concerned about her own security. This applies to all women, not just Chinese women. But in my experience, asking so directly and so early in the relationship about a partner's past is a unique aspect of dating a Chinese lady. Any man so fortunate as to be in the company of such a woman should prepare himself for it.

@@Yeahapple Hi, thanks for your input. I don't want to give the impression that this behavior bothers me. If a man is interested in going out with a lady from another culture, he has to prepare himself for a few little surprises along the way. And it's certainly understandable that parents are concerned for their daughter. I only mention this because Dolores said in the video that she was interested in learning more about the differences in dating in Chinese cultures and others. This is a key difference between dating a Chinese lady and an American one, I think.
