What a beautiful story. As someone who volunteers and and support animal shelters, specifically focused on the Cape Flats and surrounding Townships, this brings tears to my eyes. I grew up on the Flats with a great love for animals. Sadly due to a lack of education around animal welfare and human to animal connection, many animals.suffer abuse in the townships/flats, because they are seen as nothing more than a commodity. I have long been an advocate for greater and repeated animal welfare programs being run at schools. Teaching kids how to care for animals.goes far beyond the animal.itself, it teaches that child compassion, seflessness and discipline. Attributes so important in their daily lives. Please lets support people like Jerry. Please lets make his story go viral so that it inspires other to follow in his footsteps
You should contact Side Walk Specials. They are in Cape Town and do outreach work in De Doorns on a regular basis. They also do education in schools about animal care and welfare. They also have a UA-cam channel where you can see what they do.
@marieslabbert6009 I have. They do incredible work in De Doorns. I donate to them monthly. Including other organizations such a Rescue is Life, Mzananada, PETs to name a few who focus on Township animals. There are some great organizations out there.
I'm so thankful to Jerry and his rangers🙏 Not only do they help animals now but they help change people's mindsets and attitudes, which will pass down to future generations and make the world a better place with less suffering.
Jerry you have the most beautiful soul ever you are one beautiful amazing person Guys we should go visit Jerrys organisation and see how we can help him This is one outstanding man ❤❤❤❤❤ Well done Rangers you are all fantastic
It's too sad for words. I'd rather not watch it. I'll take a stray in I or someone else brings it. If I can't help the animals, it just breaks my heart.
