The reason I think he cried beside that the verses are very powerful, is that the verses also mention the story of Prophet Ibrahim (عليه السلام)and his son Ismail (عليه السلام) and how obedient he was to his father. So Sheikh Yasser remembered his father who passed away (رحمه الله). May Allah gather Sheikh Yasser with his Father in the Jannah and us all.

The story of Ibrahim are mentioned in several places in the quran. There is one chapter Ibrahim in the quran. And in the last part of muslim prayer the name of Ibrahim is recited in the prayer. So true that God has made Ibrahim as someone loved by generations.
