Yes they do. Once they get to know their wheel (which may take a few days for some, but just a few hours for others) they do really seek to make some exercise in it every single day. And by doing so, they stop doing the "glass dance" (which is when they are just trying to climb into the glass of their terrarium, which can be annoying at times, because of the shrill noise it can make). And some of them really like their wheel so much that they continue exercising in it, even when the lights go off, until they just fell asleep in it. It's really a great addition to their terrarium.
@@ElevagesLisard We currently have 16 lizards, 8 of them are Uromastyx. In over 3 decades of having lizards, I never saw anyone use a wheel. I think it's an amazing idea. I saw a cat exercise wheel and may consider buying one eventually too for my bigger lizards for their play area in our house. Where do you sell yours in case I can not find them? Also what enclosures do you use? Love all your set ups...would love to see a video on what items you use in them too. You have the best set ups then any other Uro owners I know.
@@lisab.1559 I'm sorry to answer a year later, I didn't see your comment before that. Our enclosure are homemade :) Here is our online store for the wheels: elevageslisard.com/online-store.php#!/Roue-dexercice-Exercise-Wheel/p/85189628 Thank you for your comments!
That's so cool. I didn't know they used an exercise wheel. Awesome. Your lizard is gorgeous. I just subscribed. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
If you had a wheel that was not made out of full plastic but was made out of mesh wiring, would you be worried about their toes getting stuck
We don't recommend using mesh wire wheel, as this could cause injuries.
Things like this made me wish animals could see TVs so we can let them watch it like a tutorial on how to do something.
It doesn't take too much time for them to understand how the wheel works, and once they adopt it, they really use it a lot during the day.
Do they really seek out exercise on the wheel? That is really interesting if so

@@ElevagesLisard really interesting, thank you for the reply! I'll have to see if it's something my blue tongue skink would be interested in:)
Don't like the camera? 😂
They always wonders why we look at them, probably expecting a little surprise from us.
Where do you get this wheel?
Hi Lisa, we sell them, but you should be able to find them at your local petstore or online. This one is a 12".
