Yes, play Morrowind. Also, you might enjoy the original fallout/baldur's gate games, Traditional western rpgs just hit different; they're much more comprehensive than most modern shlop. Witnessing the rpg scene's fall in real time from what I grew up with (those aforementioned titles) to today has been a shame. Everything just tries to be BotW. Which I like... Love the intro to the video! Glad to see people still trying out Kotor 2 for the first time, it is one of my favourite games, and by far my favourite star wars story of all time. Immediately jumping in with a comment though just to correct you that Jedi Consular isn't the "Worst starting class in the game", it's actually QUITE powerful if you build it right, arguably the strongest starting class in the game combat wise even for most fights in the game (it only struggles in the optional solo fights where you aren't allowed to use your force powers like in Atris' Academy and the Dxun Battle Circle)--If we're talking prestige classes though, Jedi Master is by far the worst one, that's for sure haha. But the game does even warn you in character creation that Jedi Consular is more of a difficult option to play that's more designed for veterans.
Oh, so I'm about 30 minutes into the video (great video by the way), but I think I've noticed that you don't seem to be playing with the Restored Content Mod? Kotor 2 released in a VERY unfinished and buggy state, with a BUNCH of content that was cut from the game in order for Obsidian to be able to release the game on time based on what Lucas Arts demanded them to release the game on. A team of dedicated fans spent over a decade working on a Restored Content mod to basically try to fix and complete the game. Clearly you've already finished the game as is, but as far as ever playing the game again on a new playthrough, or just recommending new players to play the game, everyone would pretty much recommend only playing the game with this mod (including the developers of the game, the mod is practically required content in order for the ending the key points of the game to not feel like complete garbage. Lots of story based context is completely missing in the base version of the game without the restored content mod, unfortuantely).
Don't worry, everyone who has played the game is sick of Peragus anyway. And no point in helping people who haven't played it speed run getting sick of it.
My notes about your playthrough: 1. “Citadel Station”. 2. Love the “Leroy Jenkins” reference! Well done! 3. If you want a lightsaber faster, go to Nar Shaddaa first. You can get one piece from slipping the juma juice to the kath hounds, one from Visas attacking you, and one from reuniting Lootra and Aaida. 4. On Dantooine, you can program the protocol droids in the workbench room to go into “meet and greet mode” and they kill most of the laigreks for you. 5. I don’t feel like Ed Asner sounds like Morgan Freeman, but you are free to think so! 6. It bugs me how Mira pronounces characters’ names differently at different times, sometimes in quick succession. First he’s “VOH-ga” the Hutt, then “VAHG-ga” the next line after. 7. Interesting that you liked Mandalore that much! He was never my fave. 8. Yes, your performance in the Training Room on Korriban will always be “unacceptable” regardless of how long you take. 9. You don’t actually have to go to the cave on Korriban at all. Not sure if it’s a glitch, but you can go to the academy, find dead Lonna, hit Sion a few times, then go away. 10. What glitch are you referring to that made the bosses easy/annoyed you? 11. Malachor was turned to rubble because of Bao-Dur. Mandalorians were evil, Bao makes a weapon, commits some genocide, feels bad. (It’s weird how he can kill thousands of people and be fully light-side, but you try to tell someone that your ship isn’t theirs and you get Dark Side points.) 12. I don’t understand how the Ebon Hawk is still in flyable condition after crashing into a valley. It mysteriously dislodges itself and the port section unwrinkles itself and flies away. Whee! 13. When Kreia dies, shouldn’t the exile die too? 14. Being a wound in the Force, how do you control the Force? Some places, like 100% Star Wars, say that it’s actually Kreia’s Force that you use because you have the Force Chain thingy. But if that’s the case, how can you kill her with her own Force? It’s weird. I don’t get that. Anyway, that was fun. Great game, amusing commentary!
The Exile spends the game making links to pretty much everyone they encounter, especially their companions. The whole XP mechanic is how it is shown in game. The Exile is just as a syphon as Nihilus is and eats away everything in its path (wether it becomes consumed by that hunger or not, is up to you). That’s how they can use the Force. And as to why the Exile doesn’t die after killing Kreia, it’s because the Exile understood what happened the previous time at Malachor V. When the Exile activated the mass shadow weapon, the blowback forced the Exile to cut itself off from the Force (by fear or necessity). (Unlike Sion who clings unto the Force to survive anything, the Exile is ready to sacrifice the Force to survive anything) But it took the revelation/lessons of Kreia for the Exile to truly understand that it was the Exile themselves and not the Jedi Council who managed that feat. That understanding allows the Exile to be free from the Force and its consequences and thus the blowback from that link. (Or maybe Kreia lied? Haha)
that Tank Droid on Telos just frustrates me! I just place a crap ton of mines by the door before it opens, and it always kills it and I walk in, laying on the floor dead! I pick up remaining un-used mines

Hmm....see some skill issues but not bad at all for a first time through. Did better than I did (I managed to soft-lock my game to be impossible to finish at Telos Station).
Gameplay wise this game is absolutely superb even to Kotor 1. It’s like every aspect was improved. Story-wise however… the story itself is good, I just feel like it’s told extremely poorly. Also, comprising the roaster of companions 75% of which are forced to follow us and don’t tag along voluntarily might not be the best option if they are supposed to be likeable…
You made the worst build for a consular, that's for sure. Apart from T3 opening that damaged door with a mine, you can get through the first phase with 8 str and 8 dex on difficult. By the time you're on Telos, your force powers are already landing consistently on enemies. All you need to do is pick Energy Resistance as your first Force Power on Peragus.
It was... an okay-ish game (compared to first KOTOR) until that stupid planet where at one point game forces you to play all your characters, rapidly switching scenes one after another. Sure, maybe I overreacted, but that moment made me SOOO MAD I never played it again. Does not help that all saves of that playthrough somehow vanished after my ragequit and I don't feel like playing through half that game again. Even with cheats on just for the story. Never had I anything similar to this in first kotor.
Fuck no. I replayed both of them back to back in the last week, and the second one is so much better.
