  • Join John Sartin as he shows you what makes the Swanstrom multi-purpose forming anvil a great addition to your bench. The anvil includes a flat top plate and four forming mandrels for a variety of forming and shaping tasks; three additional top plates and fourteen forming mandrels are available separately. Two adapters allow the mandrel to turn virtually any steak into a forming mandrel, for limitless forming and shaping.

I like this a lot! I'm not a jeweler, but I do use some jeweler tools. I think I'll make one of these today, if I can make it to the metal store. Maybe a little bigger. Good video.

It always amazes me how a set of tools, which in the right hands can do remarkable, accurate and fast results. Yet they are cheapened by small minded people who by shear will make stuff to their level of ability...never quite getting beyond...until they copy or remake something they see....never giving credit to the victim producers being design plagiarised...those being RIO GRANDE suppliers to all. I could personally make this entire set in 8 days or less. I have an engineering workshop where I machine a Client's request. There is a cost in buying these, as is the a need to return an profit. Those that don't allow that should be treated as a cancer and be cut out. I've made countless jigs over 50 years as a Toolmaker. To fix or make things...the copper samples could be intended to show the workability of metal upon the various holding and forming block's. I have like most Toolmakers adapted a length of rail beam into a small anvil. I've machine small anvils from oil hardening steel to make various projects. But they àre of my own design. They cost way more because of the outcomes I wanted. You don't want them 'cause $325 US is too dear.
It's deaŕer for me as 325 translates to closer $550 + Shipping at a minimum $150.
I'm almost duty bound to fork out almost $700...or make them all myself...but I won't...you probably will because of your meanness to anything that forces you to cough up the Buck$.
