Thanks! Great repair video, as there are more Lemax products out there we will need more of these. You got lucky with that gear. I have an assortment and have usually lucked out. But I wonder if a drop of super glue on a cracked gear would also work. I may have to try it at some point.

Hi! Great video and I love the Egyptian pieces too. Do you have troubleshooting tips on repairing the sound if it's not turning on? Thx

Hey, thanks for your message. Sounds issues could be for a few reasons. However I would start with two things. One would be open your switch an see if there’s any broken wires or dirty pot. Second would be to open the house an check the speaker wires connect to the speaker it’s self an the board. Is the unit working fully other then the sound? An is the sound completely gone or cutting in and out? If it’s completely gone is most likely a broken connection. Thanks for stopping by🎃

@@VillagesAndMore Thank you so much for the tips. It's the wasteland pub 2018 (my 1st Lemax) and all the lights are working 100% since 2018. Sadly, the music has never worked and I didn't even realize it had sound until I watched a UA-cam review years after purchasing.

Hey, yes thats always a bummer. Sounds to me tho like a bad connection where the speaker is located inside. Or bad roll switch. Ether way thats no fun. Its also one of my favorite Lemax houses. In the future, if you purchase a house from a store you can always return it for another one. However if there out of the same house that you have you can then email Lemax on there website and there normally pretty good about resolving your issues. Happy holidays!

Thank you for your repair video. I have a question, could you tell me (us viewers) where can we buy the replacement belts. I don’t have one lying around. What would I search for on amzn or hobby shop or elsewhere? Kinda same question on getting the right gear as well, assuming we don’t have any lying around. Looks like it would be tough to get the right size online, lots of trial and mostly error. But first question is the belts.

      Hey there,
Great question, I hope to do a video on this soon. But in the mean time I would recommend picking up a mix set of small FINE rubber PULLY belts used for toy cars etc. They come in all different sizes I like to get a mixed bag 30mm-80mm. 90 percent of the time you will always use the smallest size but ya never know when you might need a big one for something. But smaller the better. An always small/Fine
As for the gears, same thing. I recommend starting with a mix bag so you have a little bit of everything to work from. However over time you will start to buy more specific gear sizes that are used more often but still a mixed bag is still the way I recommend to start. You can search plastic gears an you will see a bunch of lots come up full of mixed gears. However try to get the sets that are all one white color. Other wise you will get a mixed bag of stuff that you won’t use. There’s many sites online that will offer these. eBay or Amazon seem to be the ones I use the most.
At the end of my video there is a email address (not sure if it will let me write it here) you can email me an I’m happy to send you some examples of the mixed bags I have used on this channel. Hope this helps!
      Thank you:)

I wish I had seen this last year. The door gear kept slipping on my tomb and made a shocking amount lot of noise. I ended up just cutting the line to that whole portion of the animation.

Found this one today for $8, the lights and animation dont work. Thanks so much for this.
Edit: got it all going except for the top guy. My guess is another broken gear. Just don't see the way to pull it out.

Hey there, 1st congrats on getting it going again. I know it can be a process to work on these but its so rewarding to not only fix it, but even more so to know that you took on the challenge an were successful. I hope this video helped point you in the right direction. As for the deal you got, $8 has to be the best deal of all time working or not thats simply amazing. Lastly, the character on top is tricky as well because the space is so tight. I dont remember off hand how to access him. BUT I do recall if you pull the bottom out I think you can gain access to the motor that drives him. Its pretty deep inside but maybe there is some glue or something that can be loosened to be able to get him down? I honestly dont remember, But im curious my self now haha. Ether way tho it sounds like you got most of everything working so Im sure it looks fantastic in your display just how it is. So cool, thanks for stopping by :)
