- KFC has introduced their new Kentucky Fried Chicken Wraps, available at the price of $5 for two - each wrap features a hand-breaded Extra Crispy Tender, pickles and mayo, wrapped in a tortilla. I tried the spicy one about a week ago. I actually really liked it, but as someone else said, you can't beat the McDonald's snack wrap and I really hope they bring it back. Also, on another note, for their size it's crazy that two of these is 900 calories.

Mcd wraps were def good, back in the days before they switched their buff sauce to creamy type. But nothing beats BKs wraps imo. BK always did chicken waaaaaaay better than mcds
Frying anything instantly adds calories and fat so its not that "crazy". The tortila alone is a lot of carbs.

KFC used to have The Twister (2 chicken tenders, lettuce, tomato, and Ranch dressing in a tortilla. And with wedges. Really bummed when they discontinued both of those here in the states.

Personally I tried this and its great to have a wrap back. Although mine was cold for some reason and was not an open face wrap it was like a burritor. I think nothing beats the McDonalds Snack Wrap
yes if I got a burritor I would also be extremely freaked out. Mostly because there is no such thing. But also because it's KFC and their employees hygiene kind of freaks me out.

i work at kfc, man you shouldve gotten the spicy one. the coleslaw in the spicy one elevates it to another level with the sweetness.
I used to work at KFC many eons ago when they had the Twister wrap, which came with zinger sauce, and you could add other sauces too. I used to make it nearly every time I worked. And the chicken little back then was a complete different sandwich altogether. It had a 2x2 in chicken patty, not chicken finger, mayo and one pickle, and the bun was a 2x2 in square dinner roll. I had a customer who would come in once a week and get about 10 of those little guys. That was back when they first invented their popcorn chicken, which I cannot imagine them taking away. It has become such a staple item and is used in several other items, namely the chicken bowls. Taking away the popcorn chicken will be the end of an era.
When I worked there back in High School they Had the Twister! It was pretty popular

We've had them in Australian KFCs for 10 years. We call them Zinger Twisters and yes they're great. Freakishly addictive too

The wraps sound like a lighter version of the chicken sandwiches which have been so popular in recent years at many fast food chains. (BTW, I've noticed that at some of the fast food restaurants local to me, they're economizing on inventory by making chicken sandwiches with 2 or 3 chicken tenders, instead of 1 breaded/battered chicken breast fillet/patty. (DQ & Hardee's are the local culprits.) The modified sandwiches are still tasty, though.)
i think its a good middle ground. just tenders or nuggets may not be enough. while the chicken sandwiches are very filling. a wrap is good by itself then
To be fair, I had the chicken sandwiches from Hardee's years before the chicken sandwich craze and it was the same, chicken tenders on a bun. I guess that's just how they do it there
Man, my DQs don't even sell food. Always been curious to try it.
Chicken can be hard to get ahold of commercially right now. Retail seems to be doing better but distributors are still struggling to maintain inventory. They're probably just using what they can get in stock. I'm having to do the same stuff. I haven't had any trouble getting tenders but breasts are usually whatever they've got.
not gonna lie kfc is AMAZING i literally ate there yesterday and ordered a family meal with ca bucket of chicken taters n gravy and biscuits with butter n honey and that shit SLAPPED like u dont even know! i ate all of it myself and even tho i know its not healthy im already fat so who gives a shit lol!
I make those at home all the time. Simple chicken tenders in a wrap with lettuce and cheese, can't go wrong with it.
I do this but replace everything with kraft Mac and cheese

This reminds me of the McDonald's snack wrap they used to have. It had shredded cheese, mayo, and lettuce in it with a chicken tender; basic but very tasty, a fast food wrap I really enjoyed.
Snack wraps were the best. Hopefully this can replace them
I love how ReportOfTheWeek is starting to play more into the character of being a fancy food connoisseur who has graced us by stooping down to the level of reviewing fast food. This has always been his strong suit and I like how he has diminished the long pauses to a decently appropriate length to give the feeling of a fancy food critic thinking critically on what he is going to say without simply trying to drag out the video length. If he masters this he could rival Dave Portnoy's reviews in entertainment value for time spent.
“Kentucky Fried Wrap” sounds like Louisville and San Francisco had a child and it came out looking like Santa Fe.

I've been depressed since McDonald's got rid of the snack wrap and this has me feeling happy again
I didnt know they got rid of the chicken wrap, probably because the only thing I get from McDonalds now is double cheese burgers. When did they get rid of it? I remember about 13 yrs ago when I worked there people ordered the snack wrap a lot & I would eat a grilled chicken snack wrap for lunch often. This video just brought back memories of how good it use to be.

I think I only had the snack wrap once and honestly I wasn't really a fan, It just tasted too much like something I could easily make at home.

This reminds me of the Taco Bell chicken tender taco. Similar price point and similar chicken tender and arrangement as well. Makes you wonder if those taco bell / kfc joints are doing more than just renting the same building!

Back in the day, they both were PepsiCo. Still the same company with a different name today. Just not officially Pepsi owned (though it's still under that umbrella.)

Tried one of each of these last week. Glad to see you try one this week! I liked the original best. Simple. And I'm not a mayo person myself but I left it on to try. I agree with your opinion regarding removing the Popcorn Chicken from the menu. I think that bite-sized snack is a staple in my snack planning. I get them often on a Sunday to watch football with.
Not going to lie these were very good when I tried them and in the back of my mind I was waiting for this. I’m a sucker for wraps. I was so upset when Wendys took wraps off of their menu. Thank you sir for understanding the values of a good wrap!
My wife and I just tried this because of you video, and the combo meal was great. I’m not a huge kfc fan and I really enjoyed it.
I was wondering how many bites it was going to take you to just get to the wrap. Turns out it was 4, but technically you might have gotten some wrap essence on the 3rd.

the Twister used to be my favorite thing to get at KFC, I basically quit going there when they stopped serving it, probably been there less than once a year in the last decade. I might try this, but might not, doesn't seem that much like the twister, I don't know what was special about the mayo on the twister, but it was flavored with something, and had lettuce and cheese
I think I had that wrap once and it was really good, Google said it had pepper mayonaise . I used to love the spicy bbq 99c snackers but they haven't had that item since probably before 2010 and Burger King had the spicy tendercrisp sandwich around that time too so I'd say the 00s were the best time for Fast Food.

I can honestly say, Monday I went to kfc to get popcorn chicken before they were gone, I was too late, instead of these I got a sandwich and vowed to never go back. Why is the way so many companies decide to fix “problems” is by changing the good in a side grade but ignoring the bad and leaving the negative aspects status quo

Canadian A&W has had these for quite a while now. The difference is that they have them with lettuce and bacon with a choice of chipotle mayo or some other sauce.

In my country We already have something like that But it has 2 chicken tenders in it Places vertically and its called a "Twister" In my country and we have had it for a long time now
Wendy’s spicy chicken go wrap out classes every other wrap from all other fast food places. I was devastated when they dropped it from their menu.
I remember at one point KFC used to sell boneless barbecue wings. They then got rid of it and replaced it with bone-in barbecue wings which is unfortunate. Because I have always loved their boneless barbecue wings. Apparently, they got rid of them because people have been complaining about the poultry being unsafe to eat manufacture-wise. But the boneless barbecue wings were always my favorite item from KFC. I wish they could bring them back somehow.
The mcsnack wrap was one of my 6/10 guilty pleasures. Definitely intrigued by the kfc offering.

KFC in the UK has had a series of wraps for many years, one is called the flamin' snack wrap which had a 'supercharger mayo' which is a spicy mayo with a lot of seasoning, it's great
They got rid of the Nashville hot tenders and several other items to clear space, but decided to put this on the menu? I can't say I understand the choice

With KFC getting rid of items, the biggest thing is the prices. I love their popcorn chicken but it's just too damn expensive for what you get. And their quality has gone downhill the past couple of decades. But it's a uniquely U.S. thing, which is odd considering it's where the chain is based. In Australia for example, KFC is cheaper there yet over there it's considered one of the nicer/better fast food joints. Same goes for several other countries. It just seems like in the U.S. they prioritized profits over quality, over quantity, over service, over everything else and it's hurting them.
Kfc near me already got rid of popcorn chicken when the new nuggets released. Which sucks cause the popcorn chicken was one of my favorites

We have the Twister in the UK. £1.98, two fillets, a slaw and a different sauce every day of the week. They're my lunch 1/2 days a week.
We've had wraps at KFC for a good while in the UK, both small snack wraps and larger ones for mains. Very nice stuff

BRO! not going to lie back in the early 2000's they had a similar thing they called it a twister. It was a bigger thing. But no lie i was working for a sprinkler company and i had one on sept 11 2001. cause everyday we would write down what we wanted and a gofer would go and get lunch. man those were good. you could get a combo with these like seasoned potatoe wedge things and obviously a drink.
We have this in the UK as "Mini Wraps", the "Flaming Mini Wrap" might be my favourite KFC snack

Sad state of fast food when KFC is charging $2.50 for a small item that looks like would've been on the dollar menu if it came out years ago. KFC has really dropped the ball with variety in their lineup in the past few years and it's sad to hear that they are more dropping items than they are adding.

We didn't get to try our chicken wrap... it had a hair in it. Here is where the story gets weird. After taking the food back into KFC,
all three employees had long blonde hair, but the hair was short and silverish-white. Could the hair have been from Colonel Harland Sanders
himself? If so, could it be some sort of Willy Wonka silver ticket type thing or is it one of the 11 herbs and spices? Finger Lickin' Good... I don't think so. Yeah that's right I do food reviews while on the toilet.

The old Fresh Stuffed Pitas from Wendy's back in the late 90s destroyed both McD's Snack Wrap and The Twister Wrap at KFC. Hopefully they bring them back for a limited time because they were fucking incredible!

Big problem for me with these wraps is you can't edit them when ordering in the app. I want to remove mayonnaise on the regular ones and the sauce on the spicy ones but cannot, so am not able to order. Also with KFC removing popcorn chicken I no longer will go to KFC as there's nothing else I like.
We have the chicken wrap in a way larger variant in germany since like 10 years. it has a special sauce and the meat is so juicy and crispy.
My KFC ran out of tortillas I had to drive to the south side of town to get any also the spicy slaw with the pickle was amazing I would get a container of pickles and mix them eith the coleslaw just bc it would taste amazing and plus they finnaly give you fresh chicken it's worth it if you eat 3
