- Jan-Michael Vincent (July 15, 1945 - February 10, 2019) was an American actor. He is most well known for having played helicopter pilot Stringfellow Hawke on the television series Airwolf (1984-1986) and the protagonist, Matt Johnson, in the 1978 film Big Wednesday. He also starred as Byron Henry in The Winds of War.
Vincent died on February 10, 2019, aged 73, in Asheville, North Carolina due to cardiac arrest while hospitalized at Mission Hospital Memorial Campus. Bradycardia, a decreased heart rate, was listed as an underlying cause of death. His death was not publicly announced until March 8, when TMZ broke the news and showed a slightly redacted copy of Vincent's death certificate. He is survived by his third wife, Patricia Ann Christ, and his daughter, Amber Vincent, from his first marriage.

I just cannot understand why he treated his life so bad. He was beautiful and those high cheek bones WoW. Loved watching him in some of his movies. May you R.I.P.
As a child growing up in the 80s loved airwolf, only aware of his death through this video. Rip my hero jmv.
A lovely tribute to an Actor I grew up enjoying in so many 70's films like "Big Wednesday" I watched on DVD recently, I wasn't aware of his death until I saw your video, thanks for another thoughtful montage.

I believe he was actually born in 1944 at least that's the date given by Wikipedia. Went to see The World's Greatest Athlete at the Shoals Theater located in my home town of Florence ,Alabama back in 1973, I was 14 years old at the time. Bless his heart he had a troubled life of alcohol and drugs which resulted in many cars wrecks and injuries. RIP Nanu ,aka Jan-Michael Vincent. March 11 ,2021.
