I love all the THP videos, but by far my favorite are videos like this that show the fun, family, and comradery of the outdoors. So many times you see outdoorsman and woman not always getting along but these types of videos make you realize it's a giant family and we should all be happy about someone's success. Thanks THP!

As a fellow wisconsinite I always enjoy the videos Jake puts out of the 9 day gun hunt and the sturgeon spearing. There's nothing like hanging out with a good group of friends on the ice.
I never thought a THP episode could get any more Wisconsin the opening rifle season. Then comes Jake's family, spearing sturgeon. So awesome seeing/hearing them all freak out.
Alright, who wants to go Sturgeon spearing? This guy does! That was in my top 3 favorite THP episodes... Ever.... All of it, from the spearing, to the interviews, to the shear excitement expressed by everyone there! Very cool! The aunt is a trip..... She would have fun at a funeral :)

I love this. I come from vermont where the closest to a sturgeon you may get is cutting the line as soon as you realize it is one. (Very protected). That being said it is amazing to see a fishery like this maintain the traditions of sturgeon spearing while keeping the population healthy. The camaraderie of family and friends is hard to beat.
Being from fond du lac these videos make me so happy .... you guys do a great job showing just how special this experience is to everyone involved

Being a spearer from Minnesota, I wait for this video every year. Someday I will have to come over and try a sturgeon hunt!! I get so excited with a ten-pound pike comes in, I can't even imagine a 100-pound sturgeon! Hopefully, you guys get spearing legal in your state! Great video!
I saw the whole THP crew at NWTF Convention last week in Nashville, and like the interviews in this video, they cheerfully talked to thousands of people. They’ve really created something special.
I'm a Wisconsin native in California who depends on you guys to show me the best things about family, hunting and fishing in my home state. I fly back to hunt the White tail season, but have yet to do the sturgeon season.. Thanks a bunch! I've been grinning ear to ear to watch your successes.
I always look forward to the sturgeon spearing videos and I've never even walked on ice thick enough to support my weight. Looks like a great time and doing it with friends and family make it that much more enjoyable.
