Cracked up when you sang the store's name in the parking lot, and then when you were skipping and dancing in the barn! I do the same! Lol! Some ppl call me weird, I call it being happy! Here's to celebrating happy!l💕💖
Excellent video. Felt like a family trip to Tractor Supply. Heard the familiar chimes of the Ford truck as Kyle cranked it . This was so helpful. I love that you study & research things such as your horse feed. I have started one of my cats on a supplement containing slippery elm (thanks to you). I am sold on this unbeetable complete feed (thanks to you). A small group of us in this area are fostering horses from the Helene disaster while their owners are trying to recover. We have 6 foster homes with 14 horses. I have 2 horses at my place. Will get this approved by owners & vets & think we will go to this feed. Loved your little dance down the barn hallway. Great to see Kyle, your dad, Penelope & Koa. 😊 L
Timing is perfect. I volunteer at a local horse rescue and they need help with morning feedings and there are some special cases, so I appreciate seeing your logic on switching to forage based and certain supplements for particular horses. I also like your logic regarding water mixing to avoid chokes. Also, best luck with getting the truck outfitted for heavy work, really good seeing the guys providing some needed muscle with the bags, and please give all the horses kisses for me. BTW - Your soft colors today, really compliment your blue eyes. So pretty. Thank you, Shae!
I love it when you do a day in the life video, they are very informative. Thank you for always being willing to show us how a horse farm is run as some of us will never be lucky enough to have that privilege. I enjoy you videos so much, thank you again.
This reminds me of when my Sweet Dad and Wonderful husband helped load up and deliver feed for my mare in deep snow. Both my Dad and hubby have sadly passed. Oh how I miss those precious days!!!
Hi Shae. My wife and I watch all of your videos, at least once ! This comment is a little too late, but I got a laugh when Kyle said that he could handle the new truck....because he has driven a Cummins. We had a 2500 Cummins for several years to pull our RV. I was a GMC guy for years, but the Cummins is a great power house.... I wounder how the dually will handle the snow and ice. Some people I know would remove the outer wheels unless they were pulling a trailer.... Another thought about your water trough heaters. When I had horses in Minnesota, I liked the tank heaters that attached through the trough drain plugs and were supported on the trough bottom. The horses could not bite on the cords nor play with the floating heater. I would also build a wood topper for the trough to keep a lot of the heat in.... Keep on smiling ! - Steve
So many ppl don't know about mixing the food to transition to the new feed for their animals, makes it so much easier on their systems. Love that you are sharing this and teaching about this! And for sharing about the feed rate! You educate wonderfully! 💖
Tractor Supply should be a sponsor for you (if not already). I am changing to these pellets & am seeing others doing the same. I know... not the point of this video. Thx for the excellent info, the humor & just hanging out with you guys. This was great.
My goodness I am in awe of all you I feel exhausted just watching you do all the babies feed, and of course I loved the whole video especially the little dance you did, they are all living their best life and so loved they are all lucky to be at FSE, take care xxx
I love Penelope. When I was growing up we had a pet pig called Oink. Dad bought him to provide us with bacon, pork and ham for Christmas but he was such a personable pig he could not do it. Oink lived to a ripe old age on our farm.
My former mare literally got a handful of "grain" when the others were fed in their stalls - just so she didn't feel left out. LOL. Most of the time they were all out, and in the winter were given hay 3-4 times a day, depending on temperature. She got a little calf manna in the winter and vit. e oil for her coat during the rainy season to keep her skin strong against rain rot. I LOVE the way you feed your horses appropriately!
Great video... When I had animals of all kinds, I enjoyed watching their diets and adding things that made their health optimal and watching them thrive...It's so satisfying!
I sometimes feel weird about making my cats homemade food (cooked meat with a completer). This helped me see that this is what we do for our loved ones 💜💜
This was sooo fun to watch! I have never owned horses myself but my cousins do and friends do, but it’s so fun to watch! I know how much work it takes, but truly you make it look so enjoyable! Thanks for sharing!! ❤ Love “Big Red” too! 😍😁
I noticed the new feed has vitamin E at a high rda %. This might be good for Belle . All the horses look so healthy! You spare no expense when it comes to their care and it shows. Your videos are so educational. Your care perspective is science based and logical. Merry Christmas from Tennessee!
I learned a lot as usual..I’m so impressed with your brain, what I mean is how you remember which horse gets which supplement and amount, and how you don’t get their food bowls mixed up blows my mind! You’re amazing❤
I love that your horses' health and well-being matters most to you. I moved from Michigan 5 years ago, but your videos bring Michigan back to me, sans the snow and ice that Michigan weather brought. Happier, safer from falls in Georgia, but will always be a Michigan gal.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video and I don’t even own any horses!😂 I learned a lot, thanks for showing all sides to horse farm life! I find it all fascinating!❤❤❤
I really enjoyed following your process of keeping your horses fed with the proper nutrition and keeping track of what each individual horse needs. I also loved your reasoning for why each horse is fed which type of feed. Besides wearing the title of amazing horsewoman, I think you probably need a certificate for being a top notch food and nutrition scientist also! Those pink buckets you have around the lots are absolutely my favorite color ... hot pink! I definitely appreciate how you bring colors into the barn and how you feed your horses too. Kyle is so sweet and your Dad is awesome too! Maybe Kyle needs to put a forklift on his list for Santa some year. My brother found one very cheap at an estate auction that just needed a motor tune up. He is a major car guy and has had a lifetime career of being a mechanic. I've even seen forklifts for sale on Facebook Marketplace! My brother has a very nice car, truck, and tractor shop on the farm, which it sounds like he may share in common with your sweet hubby. Oh ... and your new Big Red truck is beautiful!! Today as you loved on Koa and gave him a treat, my mind all of a sudden saw you as the Snow White of horses and pets ... and then you were dancing through the barn aisle ... instead of through the forest! You ARE their Snow White!!! LOL!! I just love everything about your channel and what you share with us ... thank you so much! 🥰
I just slowly switched ours7 from Bluebonnet to Unbeetable Complete here in TX. Our very picky 29 yo Arabian-QH cross mare absolutely loves it as does the others! 🎉
YOUR SO RESPONSIBLE ❤. FOR YOUR. PETS. IM A. CALIFORNIA GIRL. BAY AREA. WHY. I FOLLOW YOU. YOUVE COME ALING WAY. YOU DESERVE IT. ALL HAPPINESS. YOU N. KYALE. MERRY. CHRISTMAS 🎄 ❤ IN KENTUCKY. ❤ YOUR. FRIEND. ❤
What a busy day you had. I do hope the new feed is accepted by all of your horses. That Tractor Supply store seems like a nice place to get your supplies from. I saw something red in the parking lot and wondered if it was a flowering plant of some sort. Your new truck sure comes in handy when it comes to getting your horse supplies. Looks like you need to do something about that barn door area where the tractor couldn't get in the door. Happy trails to you and God bless. P.S. Loved your dancing out the door. Such a happy and carefree vibe
I’ve been to that Tractor Supply. In the spring get my fly “canning” jar catchers. Saw them at a tour I took at the buffalo ranch in Freemont, IN. They work wonderfully.
This video led to additional research on forage v. grain diet for horses. If you had EVER asked me if I'd do such research in my life, I never would have been able to guess. Thanks for the adventure into horses!
Fantastic ! I love this informative video...I miss all the crazy time I spent with supplements, meds and low NSC feed because of PPID horses! I love the no grain and will refer back to this when starting my new two..when they come into my life!❤
A good video. Loved seeing horses. It's very interesting about the feed. Love learning new things about horses , and what ot takes to own a horse. Thank you so much ❤.
Thank you. This was good to know. I was wondering about how one chooses and what not to feed their horses. So weight, work load, the individual horse, and age.
I tried unbeetable forage only, but my TB’s stomach never settled. He’s on Purina now after taking their MQ test kit and he’s doing so much better. Best of luck!
I don't know much about different horse feed, but I expect it has to give them vitamins and minerals, and horses need to like it. I think there is special food for different breeds, but I could be wrong.🤗🤗🤗
I LOVE Tractor Supply! I feed soaked alfalfa pellets with supplements mixed in... Now you got me curious about this new Unbeetable feed and I can get it locally hmmm
Oh my gosh, I can't believe you did this video today! I have been so worried about my overweight metabolic pony. She only gets 1 cup am and 1 cup pm, and I am so desperate to try and get some weight off I was thinking of stopping her 2 cups a day of grain to do everything I can. I dont want her to get laminitis. I was going to ask you today if you could tell me about the NSC of your new grain and if it was low carb with vitamins. I told my husband this morning I have got to get tyhat weight off yet I dont want to deny her needed vitamins. So I check your video and here you are discussing in depth your feeding program and your new grain!!! I couldn't believe it! You were kind enough to even show the vitamins and ingredients on the back of the bag!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Now I can compare it to the fortified low carb she is on and see which has less sugar. If you ever have any other tips for overweight metabolic senior horses please share. Shea you are so kind to be helping others with your videos and educating us all. Lastly, Kyle looked like a KING driving his new red truck!!! He looked so happy. That thing is a monster and just what you need. Enjoy it and again thank you. How did you get Mushu trimmed down so nicely? That is exactly what I need to do with my pony!!
I just your videos, Shae. I always learn something about horse farming. Today it is about a good choice of bags of food pellets and why you chose this brand. (Not a sponsor). Ok, open my ears, eyes and head, let’s go! 👍🥰
Thank you so much for an easy to understand tutorial on those feeds. I have a few of my horses on feeds but because they each had different needs they were getting different feeds. I like that you can feed that just about everyone and then a few supplements. I have a Mustang and two ponies That are about 13 1/2 hands that cannot have a lot of alfalfa so I’m hoping that will be something I could give to them in addition to the hay that they get I am going to look into it and see if our local tractor supply will order it for me I really enjoy your channel. Your pig is the cutest little thing I have a little pig about that size name, Clementine, and a male named boss. You’re just sweet like that and you’re right they have the cutest butts. Stay warm I am in Southern California. It rarely gets cold here as it does there.

When Koa stretches his front legs out like that right in front of you, its a way dogs say I love you, or I'm safe with you ❤ one of the many fun facts I learned in vet tech school!
One of my cats does that right in front of me...nearly causing me to fall. I thought she was trying to do this old lady in. LOL. L
If I had those horses, barn and Kyle, I'd be skipping around, too!!!😂😂😂
Cracked up when you sang the store's name in the parking lot, and then when you were skipping and dancing in the barn! I do the same! Lol! Some ppl call me weird, I call it being happy! Here's to celebrating happy!l💕💖

Thrilled my dancer/choreographer soul to see dancin' on out the door!
Music started when the tractor wheels were slipping...funny!

Tractors are pretty helpful. Never mind, I take that back. Nice dancing. Penelopy's tail, too much!🙂
That was really interesting, thank you Shae. Learned a lot.
Shae's magenta puff- top hat with those lil' white ballings is sooo frikin' cute.

Yeah, I wonder who Timothy was 😕

This was so informative. I am so grateful for your channel. I'm learning lots!
I loved your little dance in the barn.
That was interesting ty😊

Instead of grain you can give a ration balancer. My horses (including a mini) all get Tribute Essential K. No grain.
@cindyzander2448 Thank you so much!!! I will check that out right away!! Appreciate it. ☺️☺️☺️
Very interesting, watching from Germany completely different Horse Food, Thanks for the Info❤
My family used Southern States farm supply in Thurmont, MD.
Hi, Dad!!
You take such good care of your horses
Another great informative and entertaining video.... I was wondering if you ever worry about choke with hay?
We had a Tractor Supply in Escanaba, my hometown.
Beautiful Horses 🐎 ❤️ ♥️ 😍 💕 💙 🐎 ❤️ ♥️ 😍 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That's what my horses eat, my horses love it and I think it is awesome.
Love your barn dance!
Tractor Supply has been carrying them here in Texas for a long while now.
