  • The DeWalt 20oz Exo-core hatchet delivers again and again. the steel is good quality, the grind facilitates both chopping and splitting to handle all your camp firewood chores. After hours of processing firewood you will feel less fatigue because the handle delivers less impact back to the user. The ergonomics give you more power with each swing meaning less energy used to get more done. The polymer and carbon fiber handle is nearly indestructible. I have used this for recreational throwing, chopping, hammering and more, the head has never loosened. I own and have used far more expensive axes, there is none I trust or enjoy more.

Thank you for the AMAZING review. The only practical one for this axe in youtube.

I hear other saying "this is cheap hollow plastic handle" But I think people underestimate good carbon poly. Its lightweight but strong. I think thats what we have here.

Does the sharp-edge leather sheath come with the axe?

I think it just comes with a rubber edge protector,, quite good

@@BrendonHoppy cheers for the info. I picked mine up yesterday. The blade is a tad blunt at the top, and honed nicely at the bottom. I'll have to sharpen it first!

@@Bari_Khan_CEng_CMarEng I just bought the 3lb one the other day,, it could have come sharper but works great,, I will sharpen it carefully with a flap disc on the angle grinder,, se if it cuts better, I am using it to split big rounds of oak so a razor sharp fine edge may not be a good idea.
How do you like yours though?
