Kobelco introduced new 52 tonne excavator and demolition spec machine at Intermat Paris

Kobelco introduced the 52 tonne SK520 excavator into Europe at Intermat whilst showing off its latest SK350D ultra high reach demolition model.
Peter Haddock caught up with Xenia Kolijn to discuss the key features of the new SK520, including:
- 52,900 - 57,200 kg operating weight
- 348kW engine
- 3.4m3 bucket capacity
- Greater hydraulic capability compared to previous models
- Remote monitoring through the KOMEXS system
And some lucky operators in the UK will be sitting in the new SK520’s cab very soon, as dealer Molson Group has already placed customer orders with Kobelco for the new machines, which are now being shipped from the factory.
Peter then spoke to Olivier Rasmont about the key features of the SK350D, from what is Japan’s number one demolition equipment supplier, including:
- Up to 21m reach with a boom insert
- Spacious cab with full ROPS and FOPS protection
- Powerful hydraulic capability to operate a full range of attachments
- Large 10 inch monitor comfortable cab.
