63 year old builder here. Im a bricklayer by trade (UK) ive had tennis elbow half a dozen times only in my left elbow. Im left handed as such ,left hand holds the trowel. I never stopped work completely as i took the view that some movement may be beneficial. With decades of hindsight available to me im able to ascertain what i believe sets off tennis elbow in my case. Repeatedly lifting 2 to 3 kg of mortar above chest height and simutaneously drawing back quite rapidly to lay the mortar on bricks and blocks up to 2 metres from the ground. Those days are over and although i still build im definitely more measured than i was as a callow youth. Fortunately i dont seem to have any joint pains anywhere. My sympathies to people with ongoing elbow problems and finally thanks for posting this informative video.
Been an avid climber for years. elbow issues are par for the course. iv found the only thing that works for me is lowering the intensity but increasing the volume. strengthening the tendons is the only way to keep them healthy in the long term. restin* them and allowing them to weaken will only mean them flaring up again in the not to distant future.
@Peter Attia MD What timing - I am currently batteling common extensor tendonosis with a small ligament tear. Is it possible to cause symptoms down in the PIP joint in the hand...swelling and stiffness!? Bloods came back negative regarding any rheumatic factors, xray done ruling out Bouchard nodes Initial cause of injury seems job related - working as cleaner. Happy that rheumatoid arthritis is ruled out, but desperate to understand what is happening to my hand. Also would appreciate your opinion on injections of my own blood back into the joint . Thank you for all the information you provide! It always is valuable, interesting and educating😊 And practical 👍🏻
Too boring, Man. Why can't the guy show his own elbow to viewers? Instead of drawing an elbow and talking of bones & cartilage inside. Peter, some advice from India. Don't let your health videos get technical. Do U want your viewers NOT to understand U?

Very interesting and helpful!
Helpful. I've had surgery twice on my ulnar nerve and also my torn ligament, the tennis elbow issue. I still have pain and stiffness.
Thank you for this. I have medial pain due to over gripping my pickleball paddle. I’ll work on strengthening and stretching.
Great information!
Love this!!! Thank you!

Had mild tennis elbow for a year. Got bt500 and bpc157 that fixed it
