Hello, I use the Elvira sewing machine, Type Party, Needle no.90 for jeans from the Elvira machine as well. I sew a normal straight seam. Didn't change any stitches.
Use a clear presser foot or a steel presser foot to sew. Have fun with sewing.

A very nice bag, but I have one problem. When I sew all five stips together, the measurements are NOT 6"x6" Mine are 6x7" and a half inches! How come they are suppoed to come out the same size as when you start with the 6x6 square when you are adding two more ( white) strips? I dont get it, sorry. Did you square them back to 6x6 when you were finished? Please explain to me. Thank you very much.

If you keep the size of each piece of white jeans as 1" (2.5 cm), the size will become 6 by 6 inches.
