Guys Evolution & Breeder were a match made in Heaven.Evolution (Barry Jamieson & Jon Sutton have been at the forfront of Progressive sounds since 1992 and as for Breeder,sadly they didnt make enough tracks or Remixes,but the ones they did were amazing.Rowan Blades (Breeder) is still producing alot of good stuff,especially woth John "Quivver" Graham...I'm not sure if Simon Noble is still making music.Anyhow youll find loads of Evolution & Breeder productions on my channel.Enjoy!

The Breeder guys really lost me after about 2002. The last few releases on Rhythm Syndicate were pretty ordinary IMO. They killed it early on though ^.^
In Houston, the night club was called Club Some. We just called it Some. Weird name. Opened at 2am and closed at sunrise. The dj's had so much music coming in week after week, that they would "retire" songs after about 6 weeks unless it was really huge. I was fortunate enough to be there in the beginning in '97. The flow of quality music was strong through 2001. I would 'say 97' - '99 was the mountaintop time period. We all knew we were living through a special time. We actually talked about it in the moment. My dj friends would record their live sets on casette tapes, and gave them to me. To this day, I don't know some of the names. I transferred about 4 hundred songs onto cd's. I am in the process of loading a library onto you tube. The internet is limited with the remixes, though. Some are probably lost forever. But, I was able to find a little over 2 hundred songs and am posting them. Anyway, I went to clubs in the late 80s and that was a blast, but nothing compares to what happened, beginning in '97. With the release of this vinyl, I was always stumphed on whether to play the original or the Breeder remix. It's a shame that Breeder departed in the early 2000. They were a duo no to be reackoned with. My only beef with their releases is that some were very hard to come by (Carnival 8, I believe and a couple of obscure remixes). The same could be said about Evolution. Evolution + Breeder= Class A release that few of todays producers could compare to their quality. Great post.
I think that made them even better that it was so hard to get there records! Carnival XIII was unreal, heard Sasha play it on the courtyard ib cream! Back then it was all about the thrill of the chase and hunting shit down in record stores across the globe. Amazing times that are lost now and will never come back! Now all you have to do is type shit in : /

Word! I moved over from doing DnB sets to trance around this time. This was one of the first tunes i bought.
