Absolutely. The wages earned is death. Dust you are, and to dust you will return comes from Gen 3.19. That was pronounced after they earned the wage. It was a consequence of submitting to the consil of the serpent, and following his example. God did not originally create man to die. He would not have returned to earth if death had not been greeted and received by our forefather of the flesh. We were made in the image of God; 3 parts. Our spirit is saved by believing on Jesus Christ and the finished work on the cross. When we are born again we are born again of the Spirit of God. Our spirit is made alive in Christ {the second Adam}. But our soul{mind, will and emotion} has to be renewed in "the spirit of our mind". Born of the new spirit, we now have the same opportunity as Adam to grow with God. But if we choose to deviate and want to be "like God", and choose to go to the tree of death for knowledge, we can die again, if we don't repent and change our pattern. That is the second death, and where the consequences come in. It's our choice, as believers to walk this thing out, and work out our own salvation. Paul said that is the goal of His ministry. I put before you life and death, therefore choose life. The sleep realm for believer is when the life forces have left the physical body. The soul, or the mental component, is still alive but not active. When the second death takes place is when we stand before Jesus, and He looks for our name in the Lamb's Book of Life. He has other books for those who have not chosen Jesus before. Their works, and words, are recorded in those books, and they receive their reward accordingly. The second death is outside the presence of God. Outer darkness. Gnashing of teeth, anxiety, pain, suffering; well everything good that is where God is, is not there. I used to believe in eternal pain in the punishment of hell til i read some of the bible and watched some of Gregg's videos explaining some of their verses and quickly i became more facinated with god but before i barely even understood the fact he existed he was just kinda there for my view but since ive been out of college for the last 8 years ive been thinking of god and his ways almost non-stop and realized he truly is docile but rules with an iron fist and is patient and long suffering towards us. Ive been reading numbers and ive seen the people in that book do some things that made God angry but mozes often interceded for them and God forgave them after their blood sacrifices and later he sent his only begotten son to be the ultimate sacrifice because God doesnt like sacrifices. God proved to all of us that we will always need something to pay the penalty of our sins. Jesus being so pure and blameless and being the only one paid that price. Thank you my lord 🤩

Because to do so, when there is a very high chance that your kid will be BURNING FOREVER, would make you an evil person. Because very narrow is the way right? These examples describe the fire and does not say the wicked will continue to burn and suffer for eternity. The FIRE is eternal and Unquenching. Fire often is used to describe a component of God - and God is eternal.

Both sides have good points worthy of prayerful consideration. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. We are made in His image; spirit, soul, and body. The 3rd heaven. and so forth. This may have to do us being spirit, soul, and body. We are born of the spirit when we are born again, We still have to work out our own salvation of our souls. We will receive our celestial bodies after our terrestrial bodies pass. Well. Maybe the example stories in Luke should be read the same as a parable. One thing to consider is that Hades and Gehenna are referring to different things. Not just different places, but different times. Hades is the place which souls are being held in different places awaiting the last judgement. The apocapyptic litterature have different takes on the same kind of timeline: 1. People live on earth 2. People die and their spirits are placed in sheol or hades. In Luke 16 hades has two distinkt areas. Gods people go to a good place later called limbus patrum. 3. People arise from their graves 4. People are Judged by God. Here is the meaning Jesus is telling the Pharisees a theme we see consistently in the Bible. Their covenant unfaithfulness would find them outside of the very promises (conditional) they were given( because of Abraham originally) and it would be given to the Gentiles who have been without Gods rich and blessed promises. Eleizer is Abraham's Servant back in Genesis who was the steward of his house Jesus gave this parable as he did in other parables and covert sayings under the theme that the Gentiles if the Jews are not careful will inherit the promises and blessings of Abraham instead of them. Abraham told the Rich Man that if they won't listen to Moses and the Prophets who prophesied a coming Messiah(point of story)they won't even believe the testimony of a resurrected man.
Revalation 20:10 "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." Only speaks of the three beings of the devil being the only ones to be tormented forever? Even though I still say the goal is not hell and would not say so on anyone even if they get erased would rather see people make it to heaven. I know there are some other verses on it you would not have been able to cover them all, but great effort in the video.

In this video it was my goal to share what the Bible teaches about hell, and I will make separate videos later about often misunderstood/hard/confusing verses. Later videos will explain it better, but really brief: at Jesus' second coming, He will throw the beast and false prophet in lake of fire. Note that these are symbolical terms, they are describing certain Earthly powers that will be destroyed. After the thousand years, when all the wicked will be resurrected to be judged, they and the devil will too be thrown into that lake of fire. Basically describing that they will suffer the same fate as these Earthly powers earlier, namely, destruction. Hope that despite it being so short it helped more than it might have possibly confused you more? :P

It’s not controversial. If you listen to the conversation in Job between satan and God, Lucifer has never had a domain and does not do anything unless told so. If he had the freedom the whole kill everyone in mere seconds. Hell is a state of condition Notice what 2 Peter 2:4 talks about Hell 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; When satan and the fallen angels were cast down onto earth. The battle that happened destroyed earth because if you look at the events of Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 there’s a story of Earth before and after, Lucifer was always in garden of Eden in Ezekiel 28: 13-19. Until the war he had with Michael and God destroying earth because he had corrupted everything. Don’t you find it very interesting how we mine minerals that used to be what Earth was like as described by the Prophet Ezekiel? Hell was the state of condition earth was in before God decided to fix everything in six days and six nights because it was without form and void Genesis 1:2 and have man take dominion over everything including lucifer but Adam and Eve failed. The grave is likened to a state of condition. The demons are chained with an invisible chain so that we can not see him that’s hell. The final place stop for hell, death and hades will be the lake of fire 🔥 in Revelations 20: 11-15. There’s nothing controversial about the topic. As well as, Matthew 13:50 And throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. This is eternal torment, this is real hell and this real hell is VERY REAL. Hi sis .. a loving share here. 👋🏻😃 I don’t know what denomination this brother associates with. Hopefully he is not a Jehovah’s Witness because they teach a similar thing on hell but they don’t even know Jesus is the only son and God at the same time . But this brother May be on to something. I think we all agree that hell is real even he did . It will be fire to destroy the old earth and old heaven and the unsaved at judgement day. Similar to how Water was used to destroy the earth and kill all except 8 souls that were not in the arc the first time good destroyed. Which he used to repay 8 lives with life in the Arc. Now consider that Our souls dying is called the Second death . If you die you can’t feel pain anymore wether by water or fire . However , while you are dying the shame of judgment, the gnashing of teeth type of pain you mentioned fits to be from fire and sorrow hurt like Jesus experienced on our behalf and then HE DIED. so punishment has a point where Jesus suffered enough to pay for our sins. But then he died. Also remember that Jesus said some will receive more stripes than others. So judgement day will indeed have diverse levels of punishment because God is too just to dish out the same to Hitler as he would to an adulterer even if both are guilty of sin, the sins were not the same. Which is why Jesus teaches levels to punishment. Also, Revelation Says the smoke OF THEIR torment, not that they are being tormented forever. Be careful not to read into things like we all have been taught to read into things.. The smoke is evidence that someone or something was BURNED UP, destroyed and judged. And that they don’t have rest day or night is used in the present tense of those who worship the beast. It doesn’t say those that WORSHIPPED and RECEIVED “in the past tense” but those who have the mark, present tense. So this is to be examined greater as well especially when in the next chapter it continues to talk in present tense mark and beast as opposed to something that happened in the past if it was the case that this was talking about just judgement day at all . I think this is talking about people who got the mark will be punished on earth thru some type of judgement . But that’s just me trying to avoid reading into the text . Also consider that everlasting is often not what we think as everlasting every single time. God had an everlasting covenant with Jacob but it wasn’t everlasting on earth as it was symbolic of an everlasting seed/land/salvation etc , the temple was to have an everlasting fire lit inside but God destroyed the temple many times, and in Jude the angels are preserved in everlasting chains until the day of fire judgement which shows the chains aren’t really EVERLASTING if they are being burned . So this word everlasting is not that cut and dry even as we know we will receive the gift of eternal life. I don’t blame you for your response . I too believed and accepted OUR FATHER punishing mankind for eternity . And then while studying Old Testament death and hell/ hades/ the tomb / it became clear to me and it matches perfect with God’s character that he will chastise the world and destroy it but he won’t sit around watching billions of people in hello for ETERNITY. eternity is reserved for life, for happiness in Jesus. BUT I would never share it with a brother because most have been taught to read that souls and/or bodies or both Will consciously suffer eternally for ever and ever and ever . Yes, it will be a terrible horrific judgement day for the unsaved but remember the gift of Jesus is eternal Life which is what we all want, to never die .. the opposite is death.. He knew/knows what hell was/is and he also knew he was the only one to save people from it. He knew it was a place that no one in their right mind wants to go, EVER. He was the only one who died for our sins and rose from the dead to overcome hell and all evil. Also from personal experiences, i understand that hell is very VERY real... And the ONLY way to NOT go there is through Jesus. You’re confused as to what those verses are actually saying. According to you death means life eternal? The results is forever and death is eternal. The consequences cannot be reversed once judgment is set.

Good questions! The first two verses confirm what I've been sharing, that the punishment / destruction is eternal, not the punishing/destroying act. The second death is an eternal consequence. The third and fourth verse are explained in the verse I shared about Sodom and Gomorrah "suffering the vengeance of eternal fire". Since Sodom and Gomorrah are not now still burning, we know that eternal fire doesn't mean what many Christians make it seem. Instead, it's interesting that God is often described as being a consuming fire. And since God is an eternal being, that fire never goes out. That why the Bible says this (this may surprise you :P): "“Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?” He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, He who despises the gain of oppressions, Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes, Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, And shuts his eyes from seeing evil: He will dwell on high; His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him, His water will be sure." Isaiah 33:14-16

Scripture is quite clear that hell is indeed everlasting. Yes, Scripture speaks of hell as “death” and “destruction” but defines these in terms of a place where “they will be tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10). Why must this go on forever? There are at least two reasons. Why Hell is Eternal 1. Sin is more serious than we realize. First, the revolt against God is more serious than we think it is. An insurrection against an infinitely worthy Creator is an infinitely heinous offense. We know something of this intuitively. This is why, in our human sentences of justice, we sentence a man to one punishment for threatening to kill his co-worker and another man to a much more severe punishment for threatening to kill the nation’s president. 2. Sin does not disappear. Second, and more important, is the nature of the punishment itself. The sinner in hell does not become morally neutral upon his sentence to hell. We must not imagine the damned displaying gospel repentance and longing for the presence of Christ. They do indeed, as in the story of the rich man and Lazarus, seek for an escape from punishment, but they are not new creations. They do not in hell love the Lord their God with heart, mind, soul, and strength. Instead, in hell, one is now handed over to the full display of his nature apart from grace. And this nature is seen to be satanic (John 8:44). The condemnation continues forever and ever, because the sin does too. Hell is the final “handing over” (Romans 1) of the rebel to who he wants to be, and it’s awful.
What does that eternal fire then mean in 8:57 "Suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." If hell is just a short time? And another question: where those burnt people and devil go after hell. Is it that they just dont exist after that?
Good questions! God is often likened to being a consuming fire, and He is eternal. So Sodom and Gomorrah experienced the eternal fire, but not forever. It is not still burning. So the suffering won't be the eternal aspect of it. The wicked indeed completely perish and cease to exists.
@The Christian Life Something else interesting to point out… Two inferences from eternal torment: Sin will be eternal, and sinners will be eternal. Notice what God said in the garden: "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life." (Gen 3:22-24, KJV) If Adam ate of the tree of life after his sin, then and only then would sin be eternal and sinners immortal. But Praise God He prevented this from happening by protecting the way to the tree of life with FLAMING Swords! Because that way was properly protected, sin cannot be eternal, nor can sinners. If they already were, God didn’t need to protect that tree, because they would already be immortal. I’m glad for those Cherubim, aren’t you?! Sin will one day perish!!!

@@dude9318 no, it is not possible to get out of hell after judgementday from the Lord and when you really die with sins without knowing him. I saw a soul in hell screaming with her arms up when Jesus was standing there for a few seconds (he cries for them but he can not take them out anymore). There was a Jewish boy on UA-cam who had a nearly dead experience, he was with the Lord (he was not brought up religious and not knowing Jesus at all). He explained that in hell there is a punishment of 2 days (1 day is thousand years for the Almighty). And then the hell is finished for them. (I should not say this, because I am personally not very sure of how long) But believe me, you don’t even want to be punished for 24 hours. There have been people mentioning they were in hell after almost dying (because for example they were using drugs, disobeying their parents) for 7 hours, being tortured non-stop; their stomachs were ripped open, limbs being cut of and putting back on again, off, on, ripped open, normal again, open again…. And so on, in agony. And when they saw a small light getting bigger, they understood Jesus was real. There is a protocol between the Lord and Satan. The hell is Satans world. Heaven is the Lords world. If you believe the Lord died for our sins on the cross, that he is THE son of the father (Almighty) and that he arose the third day after he was crusified and that he is alive, if you ask for forgiveness, cover yourself with his blood and spread the Gospel, you are protected for what is coming. Seriously, I saw Jesus outside together with another person last year. It was absolutely astonishing what we saw. He is very alive. Also the beast (which is in the Bible) appeared twice on 2 different days, on my mobile growling, while I was only just filming my surroundings outside. But be careful for Bluebeam (projection of illusions which looks very artificial). Always ask the Lord if he is Jesus from Nazareth in flesh and blood. If he flees or does not answer you, he is not real and can even be the Antichrist!

Wow,I have never ever heard anyone talk about this. I want to believe soooo bad you are correct. Unfortunately,I was raised under the prosperity gospel, and yes I have always struggled with why is scaring the hell out of people a way to make us want to worship God??? I've seen this cause people years of resentment towards God, even some lose their faith bc they just can't believe a loving good God would send people to an eternal hell. Hey so like I've got a question about my religion i saw in tik tok post by this one guy who perches about the bible and I really do learn stuff, but then the religion that i follow (I'm a Jahovas witness) the thing that i heard is that we are acctually in a black sheep religion because we believe that Jesus was resurrected spiritually but in the bible it reads that he was in an actual body, how would I what to believe and if I am in a black sheep religion how do I convince my family bout of that religion, I'm sorry about the side to side in the story i didn't know how to say this can you help me please

If there is no suffering for their wickedness and simply snuffed out in a moment why would wicked people even bother to chance their ways and give up the pleasure they are living in if they are going to be no more anyway? If there is no more knowledge of their punishment because they are no more, and have no more knowledge of The Father because they are no more. Would it really matter that they never turned from their wickedness? If the wicked are simply snuffed out, to be no more, what are you going to do with this verse? I think it is important to ask yourself, why are you a Christian. What is your main motivation? To be saved from eternal hell, or to be restored to God? I'm not wanting to turn away from sin, and teach others to do so, just so that I won't burn in hell forever. I want to turn away from it because it separates me from my Creator and King. Hell not being eternal, shouldn't change anything for anyone's reason to want to become a Christian and follow Jesus. And if it does, there's a problem with the core motivation, because no one will be scared into the kingdom. It is only by love. Yes God is love and the kingdom of Heaven is about love. But your statement, "no one will be scared into the kingdom." is a lack of understanding. Fear in many cases leads a person to love. But you don't have to believe me. Even the word of God give us an example about "fear" and salvation. Here is just one verse of the passage. I encourage you to read the entire passage and do a study search on the subject. Jude 23 KJV 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Let me ask you a question, do you need to be saved from your sin or from an eternally burning hell? ;) I know most Christians believe the latter, but hell is not the problem, sin is the problem. Hell is simple a means to destroy the problem, sin. We as human beings can chose to either hold on to our sin, and therefore be destroyed in hell. But thank God, there is another way to get rid of the sin problem, and that is by giving them to Jesus. The main point with salvation in Jesus is not that then we escape hell, it is that we get rid of sin and a corrupt heart. And Jesus can give us then a new heart, which is ready for the heavenly culture.THAT is why we want to be saved ;) Not going to hell is simple a side consequence of that. And since the purpose of hell is to destroy sin, there is no need for it to be eternal. Because once sin is destroyed, what need is there of hell? 2 peter 3:7 is talking about the destruction of the current universe being destroyed by fire just as the earth was destroyed by water as it stated in previous verse. Peter is not talking about Hell here.
I find the video quite confusing. In the story of Lazarus and the rich man, the rich man went to a place called “Hades” when he died, where he was burning in the fire, and noticing Lazarus and Abraham in paradise/Abraham’s bosom, he pleaded with Abraham to send someone to the world to warn his family members so that they wouldn’t end up in the place where he is after they die.
Great video... Love what you are doing... I would like to mention that although you are backing your points with scripture, it is important to read the entire chapter in context. You basically saying that there will be no lake of fire for the wicked and that wicked and unsaved will just vanish after the judgement ( will cease to exist), what about larazus and the rich man. Also it would be then very convenient for those who chose to do wicked to keep on doing it, if there is no punishment... One little observation, you flipped suddenly from Hell to Fire in the first two scripture you quoted. The Bible clearly states a difference btw hell and "lake of fire" in revelation, the Bible says that at the end Hell will be cast into the lake of fire ...

The wicked will indeed be 'thrown' into that place of darkness etc. This still describes the experience of hell, being outside of the New Jerusalem. The thing is though that this experience won't be eternal.

@@thechristianlife i haven't watched the video . but the title and description of it before you uploaded the video and what are you saying about the video contradicts the description and the title which creates confusion and we must not walk double minded but deliver a clear message. the case of the person that walks 80 years of his life and then he repents ...that's because he didn't had the opportunity in his life to meet the Lord and those are very rare cases ...people receive divine messages from day to day and they don't bother to listen to God. that doesn't mean i should walk 80 years in my life in sin knowing that jesus will save me in the last day. we have a moment of temptation and a moment of choosing to be saved or not but its not up to us to decide when that happens.we must choose salvation and repentance as early as possible . you shouldn't even come over with that 1 % of case that are saved later in life..this creates an opportunity in the mind of the audience for the evil spirits to come and strip them away from a healthy fear of the Lord. this is called manipulation through an indirect tool in the subconscious ..and you must be aware that not everyone is being born again so they struggle with sin and you are misleading them. if you create good content then create a good title and a good description ,otherwise you are a pharisee. the title and the description do not match the content. but i haven't played the video yet so i might be wrong. i will come back with a review later.

Scripture is quite clear that hell is indeed everlasting. Yes, Scripture speaks of hell as “death” and “destruction” but defines these in terms of a place where “they will be tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10). Why must this go on forever? There are at least two reasons. Why Hell is Eternal 1. Sin is more serious than we realize. First, the revolt against God is more serious than we think it is. An insurrection against an infinitely worthy Creator is an infinitely heinous offense. We know something of this intuitively. This is why, in our human sentences of justice, we sentence a man to one punishment for threatening to kill his co-worker and another man to a much more severe punishment for threatening to kill the nation’s president. 2. Sin does not disappear. Second, and more important, is the nature of the punishment itself. The sinner in hell does not become morally neutral upon his sentence to hell. We must not imagine the damned displaying gospel repentance and longing for the presence of Christ. They do indeed, as in the story of the rich man and Lazarus, seek for an escape from punishment, but they are not new creations. They do not in hell love the Lord their God with heart, mind, soul, and strength. Instead, in hell, one is now handed over to the full display of his nature apart from grace. And this nature is seen to be satanic (John 8:44). The condemnation continues forever and ever, because the sin does too. Hell is the final “handing over” (Romans 1) of the rebel to who he wants to be, and it’s awful.

To your first comment, continue reading that same chapter ;) It explains more about the lake of fire where "they will be tormented day and night forever and ever". It says "Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Death itself will be destroyed! (Praise the Lord!). What then is the forever and ever? Well, the Greek word translated to forever, does not mean what we immediately think it means. It literally means 'lasting for an age'. It is for example even used to describe the reign of Roman emperors, which in the case of Tiberius Ceasar was only 23 years. Just like how in the video I even bring up a Bible verse where it talks about Sodom and Gomorrah suffering the vengeance of ETERNAL fire, however they are not still burning today. So it lasts a certain amount of time, in which day and night there won't be any relief from the torment. Sin is indeed very serious, that's why God says that the result of it is death (so many references I can give, but I assume you are familiar with them ;) ). It's important that we allow God to select the punishment He says matches this offense, rather then that we bring in our own ideas. God says the punishment for death is not eternal suffering, but death. The second death. Oh friend, good news for you, sin will absolutely disappear! Indeed not because the wicked repent, but because they will be destroyed. Thank God that sin won't be eternalized, but destroyed. He says that He will make all things new, everything will be restored and made according to His design. And sin has no place in that. Praise the Lord!
@@thechristianlife What difference is there in this belief of Hell and in what Catholics believe (purgatory)? We all know that salvation comes forth from Jesus Himself (Acts 4:12). And that He died for us once and for all, so that all who believe in him shall not perish (certainly from everlasting death) but have everlasting life (John 3:16). If everyone was to go to heaven, then salvation through Jesus was to no avail. And there would be no fear of God in People anymore! People would keep sinning, since they knew that though they would be tortured in their afterlife, they would have to endure it only for some time. And after that they would enjoy eternity with God. Without repentance, without believing in Jesus as thier Lord and Savior!

The videos would be a whole lot longer if we every time share the whole chapter or even more :P I never said there won't be a lake of fire, but the opposite. There will be, but it's not one where people suffer forever. The Bible tells us that the wicked will be destroyed. Regarding your last sentence, let me ask you a question. Do you want to stop living in sin because you want to avoid eternal hell, or because you love God and believe that sin is destructive? If you main motivation is anything else that the latter, I think it would be good to dive deeper into the heart of the gospel ;) God didn't just come to save us from hell, but from sin. Sin is the real problem. Hell is simply one of the two ways God gets rid of that problem. The other way (for us at least) is by placing our faith in Christ, as His love for us draws us to Him. If we have a genuine love for Him, we will not want to sin, no matter what :)

I understand what you’re saying. But it can be misleading to some. I won’t say that you are wrong. Because I am no expert. I believe in eternal separation from God in hell. I don’t know of any verses that say lost souls will be completely destroyed. Our spirits and souls are eternal. I believe Annihilation of the soul would be mentioned in the Bible if it were so. Matthew 25:46 and 2 Thessalonians 1:9 are just a few that mention everlasting torment. Jesus talks about how serious sin is in Matthew 5:30. If he talks about such drastic measures to avoid hell, I don’t feel the people that go there burn for a little while, then cease to exist.

The wages of sin is death, something that's not alive. God said for dust you are, to dust you will return.
Absolutely. The wages earned is death. Dust you are, and to dust you will return comes from Gen 3.19. That was pronounced after they earned the wage. It was a consequence of submitting to the consil of the serpent, and following his example. God did not originally create man to die. He would not have returned to earth if death had not been greeted and received by our forefather of the flesh.
We were made in the image of God; 3 parts. Our spirit is saved by believing on Jesus Christ and the finished work on the cross. When we are born again we are born again of the Spirit of God. Our spirit is made alive in Christ {the second Adam}.
But our soul{mind, will and emotion} has to be renewed in "the spirit of our mind". Born of the new spirit, we now have the same opportunity as Adam to grow with God. But if we choose to deviate and want to be "like God", and choose to go to the tree of death for knowledge, we can die again, if we don't repent and change our pattern. That is the second death, and where the consequences come in. It's our choice, as believers to walk this thing out, and work out our own salvation. Paul said that is the goal of His ministry.

When the second death takes place is when we stand before Jesus, and He looks for our name in the Lamb's Book of Life. He has other books for those who have not chosen Jesus before. Their works, and words, are recorded in those books, and they receive their reward accordingly.
The second death is outside the presence of God. Outer darkness. Gnashing of teeth, anxiety, pain, suffering; well everything good that is where God is, is not there. No joy, no peace, no love, no anger and all of the opposites are waiting for those who chose ETERNAL DEATH.

I used to believe in eternal pain in the punishment of hell til i read some of the bible and watched some of Gregg's videos explaining some of their verses and quickly i became more facinated with god but before i barely even understood the fact he existed he was just kinda there for my view but since ive been out of college for the last 8 years ive been thinking of god and his ways almost non-stop and realized he truly is docile but rules with an iron fist and is patient and long suffering towards us.
Ive been reading numbers and ive seen the people in that book do some things that made God angry but mozes often interceded for them and God forgave them after their blood sacrifices and later he sent his only begotten son to be the ultimate sacrifice because God doesnt like sacrifices.

These examples describe the fire and does not say the wicked will continue to burn and suffer for eternity. The FIRE is eternal and Unquenching. Fire often is used to describe a component of God - and God is eternal.

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. We are made in His image; spirit, soul, and body. The 3rd heaven. and so forth. This may have to do us being spirit, soul, and body. We are born of the spirit when we are born again, We still have to work out our own salvation of our souls. We will receive our celestial bodies after our terrestrial bodies pass. So the Parable of the rich man and Lazarus with the rich man going to hell is indeed just a Parable and the rich man is not in hell?
Well. Maybe the example stories in Luke should be read the same as a parable. One thing to consider is that Hades and Gehenna are referring to different things. Not just different places, but different times. Hades is the place which souls are being held in different places awaiting the last judgement.
The apocapyptic litterature have different takes on the same kind of timeline:
1. People live on earth
2. People die and their spirits are placed in sheol or hades. In Luke 16 hades has two distinkt areas. Gods people go to a good place later called limbus patrum.
3. People arise from their graves
4. People are Judged by God. They either live on in the new Jerusalem och they are thrown in the lake of fire, - gehenna.

First we must understand as Christians we have a habit of reading stories or parables and fitting it in a framework we've been taught.For my explanation try to let go of that.
The Rich Man are the Jews.Jesus lets us know because the color of his clothes and the amount of brothers he has
Purple is worn by the rich and most importantly KINGS.The Rich Man mentions 5 brothers specifically because the jews tribe father Judah has 5 brothers.This is not a coincidence.Why do we care he has 5 brothers?Why not 3..why not 8...why not 9...why not 15? 5 is no coincidence
How and why the rich man and poor man ended up where they are is inconsistent with how the afterlife happens in Jewish culture.
In Jewish culture nobody dies and immediately goes to heaven or hell.They await the judgement and are still in their grave bodily.
The reasons for the Rich Man being in the position he is in is inconsistent with the gospel(good news or good tidings).No one is heaven or hell as a trade off for a life they lived.
Rich people are not in hell because they lived a good life
Poor people are not in heaven or Abraham's Bosom because of the hard times they had on earth.

Jesus is telling the Pharisees a theme we see consistently in the Bible.
Their covenant unfaithfulness would find them outside of the very promises (conditional) they were given( because of Abraham originally) and it would be given to the Gentiles who have been without Gods rich and blessed promises.
Eleizer is Abraham's Servant back in Genesis who was the steward of his house
Jesus gave this parable as he did in other parables and covert sayings under the theme that the Gentiles if the Jews are not careful will inherit the promises and blessings of Abraham instead of them.
Abraham told the Rich Man that if they won't listen to Moses and the Prophets who prophesied a coming Messiah(point of story)they won't even believe the testimony of a resurrected man.
Revalation 20:10 "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." Only speaks of the three beings of the devil being the only ones to be tormented forever? Even though I still say the goal is not hell and would not say so on anyone even if they get erased would rather see people make it to heaven. I know there are some other verses on it you would not have been able to cover them all, but great effort in the video.

In this video it was my goal to share what the Bible teaches about hell, and I will make separate videos later about often misunderstood/hard/confusing verses. Later videos will explain it better, but really brief: at Jesus' second coming, He will throw the beast and false prophet in lake of fire. Note that these are symbolical terms, they are describing certain Earthly powers that will be destroyed. After the thousand years, when all the wicked will be resurrected to be judged, they and the devil will too be thrown into that lake of fire. Basically describing that they will suffer the same fate as these Earthly powers earlier, namely, destruction. Hope that despite it being so short it helped more than it might have possibly confused you more? :P

It’s not controversial. If you listen to the conversation in Job between satan and God, Lucifer has never had a domain and does not do anything unless told so. If he had the freedom the whole kill everyone in mere seconds.
Hell is a state of condition
Notice what 2 Peter 2:4 talks about Hell

The battle that happened destroyed earth because if you look at the events of Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 there’s a story of Earth before and after, Lucifer was always in garden of Eden in Ezekiel 28: 13-19. Until the war he had with Michael and God destroying earth because he had corrupted everything.

This is eternal torment, this is real hell and this real hell is VERY REAL. And if everyone realized how very real this ETERNAL HELL is, they would do everything in their power to avoid it. I don’t know what denomination this brother associates with. Hopefully he is not a Jehovah’s Witness because they teach a similar thing on hell but they don’t even know Jesus is the only son and God at the same time . But this brother May be on to something.
I think we all agree that hell is real even he did . It will be fire to destroy the old earth and old heaven and the unsaved at judgement day. Similar to how Water was used to destroy the earth and kill all except 8 souls that were not in the arc the first time good destroyed. Which he used to repay 8 lives with life in the Arc.
Now consider that Our souls dying is called the Second death . If you die you can’t feel pain anymore wether by water or fire . However , while you are dying the shame of judgment, the gnashing of teeth type of pain you mentioned fits to be from fire and sorrow hurt like Jesus experienced on our behalf and then HE DIED. so punishment has a point where Jesus suffered enough to pay for our sins. But then he died.
Also remember that Jesus said some will receive more stripes than others. So judgement day will indeed have diverse levels of punishment because God is too just to dish out the same to Hitler as he would to an adulterer even if both are guilty of sin, the sins were not the same. Which is why Jesus teaches levels to punishment.
Also, Revelation Says the smoke OF THEIR torment, not that they are being tormented forever. Be careful not to read into things like we all have been taught to read into things.. The smoke is evidence that someone or something was BURNED UP, destroyed and judged. And that they don’t have rest day or night is used in the present tense of those who worship the beast. It doesn’t say those that WORSHIPPED and RECEIVED “in the past tense” but those who have the mark, present tense. So this is to be examined greater as well especially when in the next chapter it continues to talk in present tense mark and beast as opposed to something that happened in the past if it was the case that this was talking about just judgement day at all . I think this is talking about people who got the mark will be punished on earth thru some type of judgement . But that’s just me trying to avoid reading into the text .
Also consider that everlasting is often not what we think as everlasting every single time. God had an everlasting covenant with Jacob but it wasn’t everlasting on earth as it was symbolic of an everlasting seed/land/salvation etc , the temple was to have an everlasting fire lit inside but God destroyed the temple many times, and in Jude the angels are preserved in everlasting chains until the day of fire judgement which shows the chains aren’t really EVERLASTING if they are being burned . So this word everlasting is not that cut and dry even as we know we will receive the gift of eternal life.
I don’t blame you for your response . I too believed and accepted OUR FATHER punishing mankind for eternity . And then while studying Old Testament death and hell/ hades/ the tomb / it became clear to me and it matches perfect with God’s character that he will chastise the world and destroy it but he won’t sit around watching billions of people in hello for ETERNITY. eternity is reserved for life, for happiness in Jesus. BUT I would never share it with a brother because most have been taught to read that souls and/or bodies or both Will consciously suffer eternally for ever and ever and ever .

He knew/knows what hell was/is and he also knew he was the only one to save people from it. He knew it was a place that no one in their right mind wants to go, EVER. Good questions! The first two verses confirm what I've been sharing, that the punishment / destruction is eternal, not the punishing/destroying act. The second death is an eternal consequence. The third and fourth verse are explained in the verse I shared about Sodom and Gomorrah "suffering the vengeance of eternal fire". Since Sodom and Gomorrah are not now still burning, we know that eternal fire doesn't mean what many Christians make it seem. Instead, it's interesting that God is often described as being a consuming fire. And since God is an eternal being, that fire never goes out. That why the Bible says this (this may surprise you :P): "“Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?” He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, He who despises the gain of oppressions, Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes, Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed,
And shuts his eyes from seeing evil: He will dwell on high; His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks;
Bread will be given him, His water will be sure." Isaiah 33:14-16

Scripture is quite clear that hell is indeed everlasting. Yes, Scripture speaks of hell as “death” and “destruction” but defines these in terms of a place where “they will be tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10). Why must this go on forever? There are at least two reasons.
Why Hell is Eternal
1. Sin is more serious than we realize.
First, the revolt against God is more serious than we think it is. An insurrection against an infinitely worthy Creator is an infinitely heinous offense. We know something of this intuitively. This is why, in our human sentences of justice, we sentence a man to one punishment for threatening to kill his co-worker and another man to a much more severe punishment for threatening to kill the nation’s president.
2. Sin does not disappear.
Second, and more important, is the nature of the punishment itself. The sinner in hell does not become morally neutral upon his sentence to hell. We must not imagine the damned displaying gospel repentance and longing for the presence of Christ. They do indeed, as in the story of the rich man and Lazarus, seek for an escape from punishment, but they are not new creations. They do not in hell love the Lord their God with heart, mind, soul, and strength.
Instead, in hell, one is now handed over to the full display of his nature apart from grace. And this nature is seen to be satanic (John 8:44). The condemnation continues forever and ever, because the sin does too. Hell is the final “handing over” (Romans 1) of the rebel to who he wants to be, and it’s awful.

What does that eternal fire then mean in 8:57 "Suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." If hell is just a short time? And another question: where those burnt people and devil go after hell. Is it that they just dont exist after that?
Good questions! God is often likened to being a consuming fire, and He is eternal. So Sodom and Gomorrah experienced the eternal fire, but not forever. It is not still burning. So the suffering won't be the eternal aspect of it. The wicked indeed completely perish and cease to exists.

Two inferences from eternal torment: Sin will be eternal, and sinners will be eternal.
Notice what God said in the garden: "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life." (Gen 3:22-24, KJV)
If Adam ate of the tree of life after his sin, then and only then would sin be eternal and sinners immortal. But Praise God He prevented this from happening by protecting the way to the tree of life with FLAMING Swords! Because that way was properly protected, sin cannot be eternal, nor can sinners. If they already were, God didn’t need to protect that tree, because they would already be immortal. I’m glad for those Cherubim, aren’t you?! Sin will one day perish!!!

@@dude9318 no, it is not possible to get out of hell after judgementday from the Lord and when you really die with sins without knowing him. I saw a soul in hell screaming with her arms up when Jesus was standing there for a few seconds (he cries for them but he can not take them out anymore). There was a Jewish boy on UA-cam who had a nearly dead experience, he was with the Lord (he was not brought up religious and not knowing Jesus at all). He explained that in hell there is a punishment of 2 days (1 day is thousand years for the Almighty). And then the hell is finished for them. (I should not say this, because I am personally not very sure of how long) But believe me, you don’t even want to be punished for 24 hours. There have been people mentioning they were in hell after almost dying (because for example they were using drugs, disobeying their parents) for 7 hours, being tortured non-stop; their stomachs were ripped open, limbs being cut of and putting back on again, off, on, ripped open, normal again, open again…. And so on, in agony. And when they saw a small light getting bigger, they understood Jesus was real. There is a protocol between the Lord and Satan. The hell is Satans world. Heaven is the Lords world. If you believe the Lord died for our sins on the cross, that he is THE son of the father (Almighty) and that he arose the third day after he was crusified and that he is alive, if you ask for forgiveness, cover yourself with his blood and spread the Gospel, you are protected for what is coming. Seriously, I saw Jesus outside together with another person last year. It was absolutely astonishing what we saw. He is very alive. Also the beast (which is in the Bible) appeared twice on 2 different days, on my mobile growling, while I was only just filming my surroundings outside. But be careful for Bluebeam (projection of illusions which looks very artificial). Always ask the Lord if he is Jesus from Nazareth in flesh and blood. If he flees or does not answer you, he is not real and can even be the Antichrist!

Unfortunately,I was raised under the prosperity gospel, and yes I have always struggled with why is scaring the hell out of people a way to make us want to worship God??? I've seen this cause people years of resentment towards God, even some lose their faith bc they just can't believe a loving good God would send people to an eternal hell. Hey so like I've got a question about my religion i saw in tik tok post by this one guy who perches about the bible and I really do learn stuff, but then the religion that i follow (I'm a Jahovas witness) the thing that i heard is that we are acctually in a black sheep religion because we believe that Jesus was resurrected spiritually but in the bible it reads that he was in an actual body, how would I what to believe and if I am in a black sheep religion how do I convince my family bout of that religion, I'm sorry about the side to side in the story i didn't know how to say this can you help me please

I think it is important to ask yourself, why are you a Christian. What is your main motivation? To be saved from eternal hell, or to be restored to God? I'm not wanting to turn away from sin, and teach others to do so, just so that I won't burn in hell forever. I want to turn away from it because it separates me from my Creator and King. Hell not being eternal, shouldn't change anything for anyone's reason to want to become a Christian and follow Jesus. And if it does, there's a problem with the core motivation, because no one will be scared into the kingdom. It is only by love.

Let me ask you a question, do you need to be saved from your sin or from an eternally burning hell? ;) I know most Christians believe the latter, but hell is not the problem, sin is the problem. Hell is simple a means to destroy the problem, sin. We as human beings can chose to either hold on to our sin, and therefore be destroyed in hell. But thank God, there is another way to get rid of the sin problem, and that is by giving them to Jesus. The main point with salvation in Jesus is not that then we escape hell, it is that we get rid of sin and a corrupt heart. And Jesus can give us then a new heart, which is ready for the heavenly culture.THAT is why we want to be saved ;) Not going to hell is simple a side consequence of that. And since the purpose of hell is to destroy sin, there is no need for it to be eternal. Because once sin is destroyed, what need is there of hell? 2 peter 3:7 is talking about the destruction of the current universe being destroyed by fire just as the earth was destroyed by water as it stated in previous verse. Peter is not talking about Hell here.

I find the video quite confusing. In the story of Lazarus and the rich man, the rich man went to a place called “Hades” when he died, where he was burning in the fire, and noticing Lazarus and Abraham in paradise/Abraham’s bosom, he pleaded with Abraham to send someone to the world to warn his family members so that they wouldn’t end up in the place where he is after they die.

You basically saying that there will be no lake of fire for the wicked and that wicked and unsaved will just vanish after the judgement ( will cease to exist), what about larazus and the rich man. the case of the person that walks 80 years of his life and then he repents ...that's because he didn't had the opportunity in his life to meet the Lord and those are very rare cases ...people receive divine messages from day to day and they don't bother to listen to God.

Scripture is quite clear that hell is indeed everlasting. Yes, Scripture speaks of hell as “death” and “destruction” but defines these in terms of a place where “they will be tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10). Why must this go on forever? There are at least two reasons.
Why Hell is Eternal
1. Sin is more serious than we realize.
First, the revolt against God is more serious than we think it is. An insurrection against an infinitely worthy Creator is an infinitely heinous offense. We know something of this intuitively. This is why, in our human sentences of justice, we sentence a man to one punishment for threatening to kill his co-worker and another man to a much more severe punishment for threatening to kill the nation’s president.
2. Sin does not disappear.
Second, and more important, is the nature of the punishment itself. The sinner in hell does not become morally neutral upon his sentence to hell. We must not imagine the damned displaying gospel repentance and longing for the presence of Christ. They do indeed, as in the story of the rich man and Lazarus, seek for an escape from punishment, but they are not new creations. They do not in hell love the Lord their God with heart, mind, soul, and strength.
Instead, in hell, one is now handed over to the full display of his nature apart from grace. And this nature is seen to be satanic (John 8:44). The condemnation continues forever and ever, because the sin does too. Hell is the final “handing over” (Romans 1) of the rebel to who he wants to be, and it’s awful.

It says "Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Death itself will be destroyed! (Praise the Lord!). What then is the forever and ever? Well, the Greek word translated to forever, does not mean what we immediately think it means. It literally means 'lasting for an age'. It is for example even used to describe the reign of Roman emperors, which in the case of Tiberius Ceasar was only 23 years. Just like how in the video I even bring up a Bible verse where it talks about Sodom and Gomorrah suffering the vengeance of ETERNAL fire, however they are not still burning today. So it lasts a certain amount of time, in which day and night there won't be any relief from the torment.
Sin is indeed very serious, that's why God says that the result of it is death (so many references I can give, but I assume you are familiar with them ;) ). It's important that we allow God to select the punishment He says matches this offense, rather then that we bring in our own ideas. God says the punishment for death is not eternal suffering, but death. The second death.
Oh friend, good news for you, sin will absolutely disappear! Indeed not because the wicked repent, but because they will be destroyed. Thank God that sin won't be eternalized, but destroyed. He says that He will make all things new, everything will be restored and made according to His design. And sin has no place in that. Praise the Lord!

We all know that salvation comes forth from Jesus Himself (Acts 4:12). And that He died for us once and for all, so that all who believe in him shall not perish (certainly from everlasting death) but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
If everyone was to go to heaven, then salvation through Jesus was to no avail. And there would be no fear of God in People anymore!
People would keep sinning, since they knew that though they would be tortured in their afterlife, they would have to endure it only for some time. And after that they would enjoy eternity with God. Without repentance, without believing in Jesus as thier Lord and Savior!

I never said there won't be a lake of fire, but the opposite. There will be, but it's not one where people suffer forever. The Bible tells us that the wicked will be destroyed.
Regarding your last sentence, let me ask you a question. Do you want to stop living in sin because you want to avoid eternal hell, or because you love God and believe that sin is destructive? If you main motivation is anything else that the latter, I think it would be good to dive deeper into the heart of the gospel ;) God didn't just come to save us from hell, but from sin. Sin is the real problem. Hell is simply one of the two ways God gets rid of that problem. The other way (for us at least) is by placing our faith in Christ, as His love for us draws us to Him. If we have a genuine love for Him, we will not want to sin, no matter what :)

I understand what you’re saying. But it can be misleading to some. I won’t say that you are wrong. Because I am no expert. I believe in eternal separation from God in hell. I don’t know of any verses that say lost souls will be completely destroyed. Our spirits and souls are eternal. I believe Annihilation of the soul would be mentioned in the Bible if it were so. Matthew 25:46 and 2 Thessalonians 1:9 are just a few that mention everlasting torment. Jesus talks about how serious sin is in Matthew 5:30. If he talks about such drastic measures to avoid hell, I don’t feel the people that go there burn for a little while, then cease to exist.

Yes, Scripture speaks of hell as “death” and “destruction” but defines these in terms of a place where “they will be tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10). Why must this go on forever? There are at least two reasons.
Why Hell is Eternal
1. Sin is more serious than we realize.
First, the revolt against God is more serious than we think it is. An insurrection against an infinitely worthy Creator is an infinitely heinous offense. We know something of this intuitively. This is why, in our human sentences of justice, we sentence a man to one punishment for threatening to kill his co-worker and another man to a much more severe punishment for threatening to kill the nation’s president.
2. Sin does not disappear.
Second, and more important, is the nature of the punishment itself. The sinner in hell does not become morally neutral upon his sentence to hell. We must not imagine the damned displaying gospel repentance and longing for the presence of Christ. They do indeed, as in the story of the rich man and Lazarus, seek for an escape from punishment, but they are not new creations. They do not in hell love the Lord their God with heart, mind, soul, and strength.
Instead, in hell, one is now handed over to the full display of his nature apart from grace. And this nature is seen to be satanic (John 8:44). The condemnation continues forever and ever, because the sin does too. Hell is the final “handing over” (Romans 1) of the rebel to who he wants to be, and it’s awful.
