- PART I of a new interview with former U.S. Poet Laureate, Billy Collins, author twelve books of poetry, including his latest, Musical Tables--a collection of 125 "small poems" (Random House; 2022).
In this episode, Billy Collins discusses what it means to him to be "America's Favorite Poet"; the genesis of his popular Facebook Live program, The Poetry Broadcast; and why he decided to work in the "small poem" form. Collins also shares a few thoughts about haiku--and more!

Clifford, I have been with Billy, read with Billy, hosted Billy at our home and houseboat, and watched many an interview. Your time with him is the only time I have seen the interview disappear and Billy was simply, wonderfully just hanging out, glad to be with you. We were sitting on the other side of the room, you two had just finished lunch and were having an interesting conversation. So fine. Thank you ‼️❤️‼️
