Modica Sicily once was the capital of the Ragusa region and is one one of the best-hidden gems to visit while in Sicily. Modica is absolutely a chocolate and food heaven, even though there is a lot to see in Modica city, it is best known for its unique "IGP Modica Chocolate".
This chocolate is made by using age-old methods that have been passed down from generation to generation.
Between the old tiny streets, a war between supporters of the two saints - San Giorgio and San Pietro, has been going on for centuries. Right out of town we'll also explore the only working water mill and learn about ancient Sicilian ways of living. This is your 2024 ultimate local guide to Modica!
