Thanks for making this video! I love the intro, it feels very Silent Hill inspired. Also I love that shirt, and must find one for myself. I totally agree Drive Thru is awesome, I have added so many Holy Grail items because of them, Dark Sun setting among them. This is my most coveted collection in all of d&d. I loved these books that I read them from cover to cover after every couple of months. I got the campaign setting book(hardcover) Creature Catalog(hardcover) and the mauraders of the dune sea adventure book as well.
I’m really crossing my fingers we see it in 5e! I also think they will pick Spelljammer or Grayhawk first, but I can hope! We’re just now starting a 4E campaign. We are excited to try an edition that has received so much controversy. So far in our play tests it looks fun! Thankyou for the disclaimer about making sure everyone knows what their getting into with Dark Sun!

Loved 4e because it brought me back into D&D. I also really enjoyed 4e’s artwork. What 4e did well, it did really well for me. I need to get a Dark Sun game going one of these days. I remember some old computer games based on 2nd edition and thought the setting was really interesting.
I really enjoyed 4E. It took a chance and did something different. If it didn’t have the Dungeons & Dragons branding, people would have embraced it. Because it did, people rejected it because it wasn’t familiar enough to what they considered D&D. It definitely got a bad wrap.
If I were only going to buy one POD Dark Sun book, and was planning to raid it for use with a different game, so don't really need system specific stuff, just useful lore and setting stuff, do you think the 2nd Ed version or the 4th Ed version would be better. I was leaning toward 4th, mostly because it was always a book, not a boxed set made into a book. But I'm torn. Basically just looking for the lore.
I personally would go for the 2nd Edition stuff. It’s got the lore that is true Dark Sun. 4E is great, but it’s definitely the watered down version of Dark Sun.
i refused to play 4e back in they day so 2e is the only DS i know. Rumors of a 5e DS crop up now and again and I wanna know more about the 4e lore/setting stuff they might pull from.

Dark Sun is the best thing to happen to 4E. Even hardcore 4E haters admit 4E did Dark Sun Justice.
