Hi! My name is Leonie and I am a 25 year old girl from the Netherlands who loves talking about books! From YA to non-fiction to classics, I read it all (although fantasy will always be my fave).

Those images of media offline are my favourite esthetic
When the media went offline I really felt that ❤
I love itttt 😂❤❤❤✨
everytime I see them I have a panick attack
I was confused when I first saw that. I couldn't figure out what I was looking at on the screen.
@@Arawn2020now that you've found it, it's gone...
The media offline aesthetic is a hard one capture. Congrats on tackling that!
“I keep acquiring books… it just never stops” truer words have never been spoken
I love potato juice it's scrumptious
read the comment as she said that. *perfect*
@@igcseclasses903 for some reason "potato" made me think of tomato...
@@PersonWhoAsked i was gonna write tomato but potato sounded weird so i wrote it
That's unfortunately true for me. I said I was going to stop at 5,000 books at this time. Nope 5,185 so far...
Media offline is also my favorite way of sorting books
1:30 i love those pictures too!! so aesthetic
Yes! Those photos were adorable! 😂
@@bear.b I have never seen such aestheticly arranged books!
I can't see them sadly. when I watch it it just shows broken files.... :(
@@tinak.836i think leonie forgot to put the pics? it shows offline to everyone lol people r just being sarcastic saying they love it 😅
Ouh I feel dumb now 😂
i know you have a million people in the comments telling you to be careful about the books in the windowsill bc of the sun fade, but the real tragedy is from the condensation you mentioned!! i left a book on my windowsill overnight in the winter once and when i woke up the book was completely soaked through and STUCK to the window lolol. be careful when the weather gets colder
1:30 i love these pictures, they are sooo crimson
You could thrift picture frames and use their class to put them under the plant pots which are standing on your book piles, as some extra water-spilling protection.
I feel like Leonie will exist within these four walls of this teeny tiny room forever as a sort of time capsule
why is this so damn funny
I do little unhaul piles!
I keep them in the hallway in front of my room and my sisters, friends or my sisters friends can take anything they want. And not only for books but clothes and bags too, its really cool to see my sisters friend wear the jeans that I dont fit into anymore
“We take the mess and make it pretty” is what I try to do most mornings to myself lol
I love watching book declutters while doing absolutely nothing to declutter my own overflowing shelf
Called out 😅
I completely agree that not every book has to go on a shelf! Every flat surface in my room has books on, and if it doesn't the potential is there lol
I also has so much random stuff on my shelves. There is a terracotta pot, which is normal, but you open it and inside is a lump of concrete
The stack of books for your friends is such a good idea ! Like a little free library but for people who really care 🥰 love it !
Sure would like to see some content about the Netherlands and books in the Dutch language.
All For The Game series by Nora Sakavic!! I cant explain how much I adore that series and it makes me sooooo happy to see it up there. It is actually criminal that its often classified as a sports romance becauze its 100% not. Despite its numerous numerous flagrant errors and deeply problematic and graphic everything, it has a chokehold on me and I'm never going to get over it. Serious trigger warnings but dear god is it my favorite universe ever.
You truly cannot get over it. How does one get over the concept of Andrew Minyard???
@@justjaq2319 The more you read or listen to the books the more you realize that Andrew's just a brat 😂 He's so freaking funny and dramatic but the series is so serious that you have to get over the initial shock of the plot line before you can just laugh at Andrew all the time. And I've never enjoyed fanfic from a series more. This fandom writes Andrew and Neil so compellingly and creates such interesting situations and fascinating dynamics between them and between all of the foxes in general.
You mean a trigger warning to end all trigger warnings!😆 But yes, I cannot deny that this series either you hate it or become obsessed with it. (I am obsessed obviously).
The stacks of books on the mantlepiece with plants on them are SO COOL 🤩 but I know I won't ever do that because I would be afraid of watering the books while watering the plants 😅
I think the main problem with the windowsill is not that the pages will turn yellow, but it's that the covers will turn pale. Like a sun-tan, but reversed 😂 but if you don't care, that's fine ^^ they are very viby too !
It's so satisfying watching someone organize and interesting to see the little ways they personalize their space. Love your vids!!
''media offline'' my favorite aesthetic ♥
what does the term mean?
warning about keeping books on window sills!! I had some sitting on mine and there was condensation that water damaged the books sitting there
Whenever someone mentions the Foxhole Court I have a mini heart attack because, deep down, I'm convinced I made them up. They're way too unhinged to be REAL.
I love watching organising/ cleaning videos. It motivates me to clean my own room (and house) 😭
@17:30 Because of a shipping error, I wound up with a second copy of a book. I took it to my book club and was able to give it to someone who actually wanted to read it instead of just dumping it at a thrift store :)
was 1:30 a creative choice or a media linking error?
For anyone wondering as well, I believe the book with the anarchy symbol on the cover at 14:05 is "On Anarchism" by Noam Chomsky.
You're inspiring me to make my entire house a library
Me too. ❤📚❤
Love it--nothing so relaxing as a room full of books! Have a great week, Leonie!
I love what you've done with your space, the books and all the rest. There's something about the oranges, greens and browns that make the environment so warm -- you're inspiring me 🥹
I loved this, the plants being propped up on books looks stunning 😍
omg the media offline has given me so much aesthetic inspo!! thank you 🤍
the stardew valley music is perfecttt
slayy ✨ thanks for giving me the motivation to clean out another shelf! i am also decluttering my books rn!
Let's accept the fact~ her vids r therapeutic!!
Very therapeutic
I absolutely loved Fable by Adrienne Young. The Fairyloot edition looks really cool. Also, well done. Your aesthetic is a vibe.
Loving the videos so far, just a heads up when your talking about putting boos places other than shelves, red pictures show up that say “media online” not sure why it’s doing that? Is it just me?
it's a common editing error. If she initially imported the pictures from say the downloads folder and then later moved them into a different folder her editing software doesn't know where to find them. She would have to open the project folder and relink to media.
I did a book box at work where you can put a book you don't want anymore and anyone can take it as their own. similar to your windowsill books :) and it worked quite well!
I love Leonie's aesthetic
Listen this woman is like medicine for me....❤
The Stardew Valley music in the background is such a vibe and fits the video perfectly!
i read neverwhere by neil gaiman and, like you, i didn’t care for it. and then good omens became a show and it got me into his work. so i recommend watching good omens because it’s so good and it’s so worth your time!! ALSO THE SEASON 2 FINALE- im unhinged over good omens.
What a pretty, feminine, and elegant home you have! Personally I want my books in bookshelves without much memorabilia and clutter on them for easy access and easier cleaning and dusting.
17:11 Omg you're so sweet for that, I thrift books and I can find some good stuff but thats rare. Its mainly cheap paperbacks with bent covers, could be the best book ever but its just horrible that resellers will take all the good books for people who will actually want to read it. Like I respect the hussle for making a quick buck. But we have to remember thrift stores are stores for mainly people in need and when you resell stuff you're taking from people in need
Do you have a coffee table? Cause that Zelda book gives total classic coffee table book vibes
You are my therapy, thank you Leonie🧘♀️
Your room has such a lovely cosy vibe - I love the red candlesticks 🤍
Thank you so much for this video :) I've been feeling down a lot lately but this got me up and happily rearranging my books! Thanks for the inspiration :)
I love that you always use stardew valley music!! makes everything extra cozy leonie!!
Literally, watching your video before plopping myself on bed is one of the best feeling
Comedy, entertainment, innovative thinking, cozy and satisfying!! I enjoyed this time with you, Leonie!! 😁😁 😘 Thanks for sharing!! ❤
I love the end result! It's so cute ❤
I totally understand and agree completely with you about your books 📚 and being put on book 📕 shelves what a great idea love it 🥰
Leoni, you’re such a sweetheart! Absolutely amazing video as always, you never fail with anything you do!
Continue shining and striving!
this was so good!🫶🏼
I love this type of content so much
BEFORE THE COFFEE GETS COLD is so good! Hope you can read and review it soon 😊
Hi bookleo today was a very emotionally charged day and your video helped me so much
that edition of ''neverwhere'' is so gorgeous!!!
I loved this one! Organizing and books, two of my favorite things. You gave me some great ideas!
-Sarah
Your video always make me comfy ❤
You should actually read Fable, don’t get rid of it! It’s such a good underrated fantasy one
I love that little fireplace where you store books and your book giveaway idea is so cute, I think I'm inspired.
Having a small 1bedroom apartment, my bedroom is my main bookshelf as well! Gotta love it, I sleep on tatamis/futon on the floor and I am surrounded by books all around!
My favorite feature I have is I put a plank between two shelves and I have a book bridge as my bed head, also lots of books on the floor and because small space, I actually got 2 dvd/cd/manga shelves that fits only one row of books, it’s skinny, holds a lot of books but looks so neat (it’s my main wall of books)
Sure I also have some books in my cupboard and a couple of bookshelves in my living room but I love my main library/bedroom!
I did have to unhaul a lot of books in the process but really pleased with the result.
Anyway, love your videos!
I just today finished All for the Game series and i really hoped you would make a video about it and now- It brings me sooo much joy to see it here. I liked the books sooo much. I do hate that it is often classified as a sports romance, the romance is a part of it but the books are soo much more, i think the most accurate description would be a found family trope. So glad you are making a video about it.
Btw, your room's aesthetic is so pretty akshskfjk. Love you
SAME ITS A CRIME that its classified as a sports romance. It was classified as a sports romance and Libby when I was searching for sports romances and thats the only reason I started it. Once I finished the series I realized that it's such a misclassification that it's actually criminal. And I see people continuously recommending it as if it's a sports romance or even as if it's a romance at all when if you read the books you know that it is not romantic in the slightest, there is no romance or whatsoever. It's so frustrating because it's incredibly misleading. I was lied to and thought I was getting one thing and then was jared to the point of almost quitting the first book multiple times because I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
I absolutely love the series but that is such a misclassification of genre that it makes me angry and I think it's part of why a lot of people don't enjoy the series. If you know what you're getting yourself into you don't have expectations that misalign with what you actually given.
@@chelsey8737 I completely agree!!! While I love Andrew and Neil together so so so much, originally since the first book, it was never about them getting together, it was always about Neil and his character interactions with the team and coach. It is a found family book through and through. And the romantic implications aren't even there until the end of the second book and they get clear at the start of the third book. I am so lucky, I didn't read it as a sports romance, I just picked it up and wanted to give it a try and it was honestly a very good decision.
I love reading so much, like I'd read a series within a couple weeks to a month, and never stop. But ever since high school (and now college) I feel like I can't START. So maybe I should put random books in places around the house so I find them like little treasures and pick them up.
@1:39 Way to think outside the box, Lee!! 😁 👍
SOOOO CUUUUUTE I loved everything about this video
I wish I had all the books I’ve gotten rid of in my life back home. Lovely video, so pleased to have found you. ❤️
You could make the fireplace a storage place, that even works for exhibition
jack edwards just did a video where he separated his read books from the tbr and showed the spines of the books he read, but had the others w the spine facing into the shelf! easy to figure out what to read!!
Fantastic video. I have recently started my own book tube. your videos have given me much inspiration. Thank you.
"we don't need to be confined to the oppressive idea of the bookshelf, okay?"
I love this sentence lol, your mind is creative & weird in the most wonderful way🧡
Your tea shots need a whole different appreciation. It's just so to the point🥺
Love your editing!
Leonie I just discovered you channel and I think I’ve watched one of your videos everyday since! ❤❤❤
this was so cozy to watch!!
As someone who has books even in their wardrobe, I appreciate this video 😁
It is very comfortable to see turnning the mess to tidiness
There's never enough space. I had floor to ceiling bookshelves custom built into my new home office on 3 of the walls (one of which has a large window taking up most of it so I build in a window seat as a reading nook). It's enough room for about 1450-1500 books and it will be full in the next 6 or so months. My wife and I have 3 more bookshelves being installed in our living room this November to handle the overflow.
can't wait for your aftg video! ✨
omg your room is so pretty !! i would love to see a room tour
Such a cozy room
this is very similar to what I have in my apartment! I have a few stacks of books by my bed and one stack on my dining table, and my bookshelf is absolutely filled and it has a few plants on top of it too. might do the same thing as you and put books under them as my pothos is also getting very long! anyway, love the vibes in your room!
1:28 ommmg I love this aesthetic !!
this is so cute 😭i wish i had the space to do this!
The sunlight reached my bookshelf in the past, and with this I learned that the pages getting yellow is not the only effect for it, also ruins the covers.... my jane austen learherbound collectors edition has giant stains now
Love this so much!!
I really like these ideas!
Not only do the pages turn yellow when exposed to sunlight for a long amount of time but the cover and spine lose colour (fade) too
This was such a fun video!❤
i just love watching your videos
Loved this video...gave me some ideas actually!!
Lovely cosy video! I don't know if you are allowed to put anything on the walls of your room but you could put some of the shelves that slip into a book to create a floating stack and some brackets to display books open on the walls for your castle and Zelda books
I'm honestly so scared for the AFTG video: it's unfortunately one of my favourite series ever, and as much as everyone in the fandom agrees that there are so many problems with it, it still hurts if someone points it out lol
I am in 100% agreement with you. I am such a massive fan that I have logged an absurd amount of hours listening to the audiobooks over and over and over again but I am terrified of that video and I'm not sure I'll even watch It. I will write you a thesis about all of the things that are wrong with this series and how deeply problematic so many elements are and how terrible the depictions of Nicky in particular are and I will point out every single plot hole but hearing it from somebody who is not also this invested is painful. Like we can criticize our babies but you cannot 😂😅
Honestly, in these types of situations I just decide to not watch the video. My curiosity would always win and I'd watch it but it always made me sad. Trust me, it's better not to watch it.
I also keep acquiring books. 📚
You're living my dream ✨♥️
I was so excited when you showed your Sailor Venus soda can a few videos ago. Then, last week I was at my local candy and sweet store called Freak Lunchbox and I FOUND THEM - THE SAILOR MOON SODAS. They are pretty expensive since they are imported, but I purchased a Sailor Neptune one and it is waiting in my fridge for a time that feels right. For the record, I am from Atlantic Canada!
love the stardew valley music🌱⭐🤍
one day I'll be able to embody even a fraction of these good vibes!!
Physics reality - a finite amount of space means a finite amount of stuff, including books. Purge often and allow those ignored books new life with someone else.
I have that same edition of Frankenstein!! I love it so much!
