Used to be awesome in the 80s. Remember my dad driving us all there once and me and my sister were arguing so much he just spun round in the car park and drove home. 3 hour round trip 😂 hard lessons were learnt that day
This is great. My dad was Air Force. We were stationed at Bentwaters/Woodbridge 84-87. Went to Pleasurewood Hills American Theme Park twice. Had a blast.
@@ihazdashcam So your screename indicates you from Florida then, been there many times over the years since a kid in the 80's. How comes you have not been to another country since??
@@mikekaraoke We were military. Only reason we went in the first place. Although it had been my dream to go to London. Now I've been 13 times in my 2 years living in the country. I really want to go back.
@@ihazdashcam Yea i did read your dad was in the Air Force. So during the years of 84-87 what other Theme Parks and/or attractions did you go to?? Glad you been to London now 13 times since living in UK for 2 years. Where in UK you living now then?? Yea def take a trip back to Suffolk to-Pleasurewood Hills later this year maybe??
@@Theme-animatronics-80s wow forgot I even commented on this, yeah back then I clearly didn't understand the concept of bringing different cultures into other countries to engage interest 🤣
Love this, Its me aged 12 on the ladybird coaster at 20 seconds in. 1.5 seconds of fame!!

Ahhhh the 1980's what a great decade :-)
Amazing footage of Pleasurewood Hills, back when it was good, and had a similar American theme to the now closed American Adventure theme park.....
Great to look back on.
I miss pleasurewood hills in the old days
My dad used to love pleasurewoodhills as a kid even though he is 31 now
Nothing wrong with being a big kid.

And you haven't been since, well make some time to go there then once these traveling restrictions lift. :-)
@@mikekaraoke Nope. Never went overseas after that.

:D I loved the music hall, wish there was more footage of that, I wonder if anyone has a full version of that graveyard song is lurking about.
I’m pretty sure on this channel there is a full video of the music hall!

@@MephProduction being honest, I wasn’t expecting a reply! Have you been to the theme park recently?

I've always wondered who voiced Woody and Clarence in this?
I remember in 1988 some kid vomiting on Woody's feet ha ha ha
This is as American as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Why did they make it American-themed when it's exclusive to Britain...
An American themed park wouldn’t be cool in America. And a brittish themed park wouldn’t be cool in Britain. It’s novelty. An insight

Woody sounds like he's about to die from lung cancer or something
He must be one of the longest serving theme park mascots in the UK, I reckon. Unless someone tells me otherwise.
Or maybe someone's being doing an bad impression of Yogi Bear and some higher ups thought it was an good idea to put that voice to Woody Bear.
