Some officer tips in Endless mode as an Officer main with 125 hours 1. Your charge can be a tide turner, use it when most desperate or when a bugle sounds, save your charge dont waste it. 2. Don't bother even waste your shot on a Zapper and Runner, save those shot when you see an Igniter or Barrel. 3. Be Aware! Your charge can send your entire team to their own grave if they charge too far from the Sapper walls or the Seaman sightlines, getting them get pick up one by one by Zappers, Barrel or Runners. 4. You are not a backliner shooting like those Seamens, you are more effective at the frontline protecting your Sapper building from Barrel and your teammates from getting grabbed 5. Practice make Perfect, pistol and DB pistol are not accurate but with enough practice and timing, a single shot can make a different between a safe wall or a destroyed one.
igniter? so that's where the sudden fire that pisses me off comes from? i thought it come from players... it lags me alot which ends up with me dying or being grabbed and exploded by a barrel
hello hello, sapper main here :D A common trick is to combo your shove/stun. An important part of being a sapper is MAINTAINING YOUR BUILDINGS!!! Oh how much it hurts to see a sapper build but never repair their buildings 😭 Depending on the Senario, you can either maintain your buildings or leave them, typically when you leave them you’re leaving them as fodder for bombers or hordes. Quickly building things and leaving them to be destroyed can be good for buying your team just a little bit of time. If you need a long term way of protecting your team, you need to actually continuously repair your buildings. If there is a horde attacking your buildings, the recommended combo is Stun, Repair a little bit, Swing axe (try to move your swing as you are swinging to the side, sapper’s axe has a ginormous drag and can kill whole hordes in one hit!) You should definitely practice this in a private server, the combo might be a little hard to do first try, but as you use it more to protect your barricades it just becomes ingrained in muscle memory (If you need an example of this, there’s a video of an “alone at the end of the world” badge featuring a sapper strat on hougomount that uses this exact combo) DO NOT. FORGET ABOUT THE OTHER BUILDINGS. Barricades are the most commonly used buildings yet sapper offers stakes and caltrops aswell. Caltrops are a good spacer and slows zombies down, it slows EVERY zombie type down, which could be useful if your team needs time to shoot bombers. An alternative to caltrops for handling bombers are stakes. Stakes do dmg, they instantly kill runners and instantly set off bombers. (Be careful, I’ve killed a lot of teammates with stakes because my team isn’t aware of the instant bomb thing, so maybe warn your team in chat beforehand ?) Stakes are the best fodder to use if you just need something to deter bombers and runners, or just any zombies in general! Barricades are most often used because they have the highest durability, so they’re best for longer term holding out! (P.S. the zombies at the Copenhagen water bucket section don’t die in one sapper axe swing, so you can place stakes to lower their ho before you swing, that way you can kill in one hit) oh and another thing: depending on the map, MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE YOUR BARRICADES!!! some times it’s fine to leave barricades if you know you won’t need it later, (example: Copenhagen water bucket part, you don’t need to take the buildings down unless you used a lot, there’s no big holdout finale in Copenhagen) Maps like San Sebastián and Kaub are basically REQUIRED fro you to take your buildings down. Sapper has a build limit and leaving these buildings up waste your building limit!!! By the time you get to the finale you can’t build as much!!! anyways sorry for the yap.. hope this helps 😭🙏
I'm a sapper player, thanks for mentioning that shove, build, and hit strat. I'll use it more, it definitely seems like it will be helpful. I also recommend others to use that strat as well.
@@Cutepanda1943 that is true… in the cases I use caltrops for bombs it’s usually to slow them enough for my teammates to shoot, though I almost NEVER use caltrops for bombs… stakes are just better
There's a bit of info you didn't mention while you were explaining how the charge meter fills. You can also fill your meter using your gun (pistol/db pistol), and depending on your actions, you can actually get bonus charge for your attacks. Here's some detailed information on this (taken from the official wiki): Officer's Sabre: • Hitting a Zombie (Gain 2% Heat) • Killing a Zombie (Gain 5% Heat) • Headshotting a Zombie (Gain 3% Heat + Stacks with Hits/Kills) Firearms: • Hitting a Zombie (Gain 3% Heat) • Killing a Zombie (Gain 5% Heat) • Saving a player from a grab (Gain 10% Heat) • Headshotting a Zombie (Gain 3% Heat + Stacks with Hits/Kills)
Some Tips for the Sapper’s Structures Caltrops: Probably the least useful of the three structures, it’s the quickest structure that can be built only taking 1 hammer swing to set up if you’re not wearing armor. It is useful for slowing down cannibals when being chased or when you’re in a dire scenarios in which you have no time to build or you keep having bombers blow up your structure since they can be instantly built just as much as they can be instantly destroyed by a single bomber. Stakes: Can be better than barricades under certain circumstances and situations. It can be built in 5 hammer swings. It is like the barricade if it could damage cannibals, however sometimes cannibals don’t take damage from stakes. This makes the stake useful at managing hordes when you have a lack of teammates to kill cannibals attacking your structures. The big trade off is that stakes are smaller, have less HP than barricades, and take slight damage itself when a cannibal takes damage. A big problem with the stakes is that in non-hardcore objective maps it takes 2 stake ticks to kill a shambler meaning shamblers before dying will at least hit your stake once. That is why stakes are more effective when you stack them upon one another as 2-3 stakes stacked will instantly kill shamblers. Stakes are also effective killing shamblers while they are climbing as climbing shamblers can’t attacks stakes but still take damage from them. One other thing to note is that the stakes’ have a talk hitbox meaning cannibals falling on stakes will die before actually landing on them, so placing MULTIPLE stakes on areas where cannibals usually fall onto is a good way to wipe out entire hordes. If you couldn’t tell somehow, I’m tired of newbie and even more experienced sappers build barricades when stakes are A LOT more helpful in certain situations Barricades: The most used and most reliable of the structures, it has high HP and 6 hammer swings to build. it is good for walling off shamblers when you have teammates to handles shamblers trying to break through while you repair them. Note: Sorry for not proofreading this comment nor trying to keep this comment short and sweet. I couldn’t be bothered to simplify this as I wrote this comment when I was hella tired.
As a sapper main, here’s some tips. Tip 1: STAY WITH YOUR TEAM. Ive seen games be lost because the sapper decides to go ahead or build somewhere where the main team isn’t. Tip 2: Use your other builds. Stakes are SUPER useful when you know bombs wont spawn, like in the water bucket part in Copenhagen. (Stakes insta blow up bombers, so warn your team) Caltrops are good to use a decent bit in front of your main defense to stall big hordes for a bit. My third tip would be is SPACE YOUR BUILDS. If a bomber comes along and your builds aren’t spaced enough, you could lose all of your builds. Tip 4: DON’T FORGET YOUR ROLE. I see sappers sometimes focus on fighting way too much and completely forget about their builds. Tip 5: DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THE SHOVE. In big waves, you want to do more then just repair. You should repair, shove, then attack. Or just repair and shove if you have enough teammates. Tip 6: For endless, hardcore, and certain maps where axes don’t normally one shot all zombies(don’t really have an example) The pickaxe is VERY useful. It’s fast swing speed is also very nice, so I personally only use the pickaxe. Tip 7: Don’t forget your builds. You have a set limit, so never leave any behind. Tip 8: Use armor mainly when you are trying to get badges you don’t have, like beating a map in one life, or Old Guard. Tip 9: Don’t ditch your builds early. If your builds are probably gonna break, you should be one of the last to leave. Drop a grenade when you leave, or shove the zombies off so your teammates can retreat. Tip 10: Build in the right spots. If your team seems to be doing well/it’s a very small horde, don’t place all your walls, just 1-2 stakes will be fine. And on the flip side, don’t leave a zombie spawning spot without builds. A good example of this is the graves in leipzig, where sappers don’t always barricade up. Sorry for this huge list XD
The Officer's charge ability cooldown is actually 25 seconds, it just feels like forever because the game is generally quite fast-paced/very action-packed to the point minor details can feel like ages.
For sapper, always repair breaking barricades if zombies are breaking the barricades, use the axe stun ability and then repair. Also always use upswing with the axe because sometimes it takes 2 hits to kill shamblers in endless and also I recommend using axe because the it can kill more zombies in a single swing. This is also the strategy people use in getting the "alone at the end of the world" badge 🤓☝️
i personally use side swing when the zombies are shoved since the shove actually lines up their head for the side swing to headshot, but the upswing pairs great with timing your jump and release of your m1 for headshots as well. I never tried pickaxe, nor have I even bought it. That's not sayin' anything tho
If you build only stakes and have enough luck then you can get the alone at the end of the world with no kills (with out using any weapon aka the game say you don't have any
Officer main here, but I've been forced to play Sapper so many times because nobody else wants to, so here are my building tips: 1. DO NOT PLACE YOUR BARRICADES TOO CLOSE TO EACHOTHER. If you make barricade waves, make sure the first line of barricades is adequately placed apart from the second line in case your teammates fail to eliminate bombers before they reach your line of defense. If you place your builds too close to eachother, a bomber will destroy ALL OF IT. 2. On top of this, I do not recommend putting stakes too close to barricades as if a barrel zombie were to walk into the stakes, it would automatically detonate and destroy not only the stake that it walked into but most likely your barricades. If you have a quick reaction time and are aware that barrels immediately detonate upon hitting a stake, you can retreat, but most of your teammates are probably stupid and might stay around, not aware of the immediate detonation. 3. Utilize shove on hordes that are destroying your structures, then Melee them. This is most useful for the hordes on holdout situations like Copenhagen's water well event. 4. Stakes can be used instead of barricades if you're planning on moving to a new area of the map but need to kill some stragglers. (A prime example is leaving behind stakes in Kaub right before you use the cannon to destroy the barricade to the bridge) 5. I also mention how stakes can also be used prematurely to detonate barrels. Place an array of stakes far apart from eachother so one detonation does not destroy the other. (I find this useful for Leipzig's finale where you must holdout before the gate is blown up) 6. USE CALTROPS TO BUY TIME. People underutilize caltrops even though they are the SAFEST option for buying time. YOU CAN SAVE A GAME WITH CALTROPS. They are, however, very glitchy, so I would only bother using them on flat ground, but you can save your entire team from runners and bombers with strategic caltrops placement, even if it lasts for only a few seconds. (I find that caltrops have saved my Copenhagen runs before entering town and during the boat to cross the bridge event, slowing down hordes on the bridge for Berezina, and slowing down hordes in the final hall in San Sebastian) I also use caltrops in endless maps to help group the zombies for easier wave elimination. 7. Remember to take down your builds if possible when playing maps where you need to transition to new areas. There is a build limit of 10 per sapper and 30 globally. If you're aware zombies might still spawn in an area, you can leave stakes up, but try to always take your builds down and NEVER take them down by yourself. ALWAYS ask for a spotter in case you get grabbed or tackled while taking down your builds. 8. Ask your team to wait for you. A sapper needs time to set up. If you have a bad server that rushes without you, chances are you'll show up useless. If you can, convince your server to wait for you. (Making sure a sapper at the frontlines is a make/break for maps such as Kaub, Copenhagen, San Sebastian, but I argue this is basically a make/break for every map). A smart sapper knows how and when to use EVERY single one of their builds. Rely on your teammates and ask them to work around your builds. For non-building tips, you can FLICK with your axe/pickaxe m1. Make sure you lock the direction so you're swinging LEFT for your axe. I don't use a pickaxe, so I don't want to comment on flicking the pickaxe. Flicking is when you quickly move your camera while timing an m1. Axe can insta kill 4+ zombies if you know how to flick properly, but remember to shove zombies back if they're destroying your builds as well.
I, myself am an officer main. Once on san there was 5 people, and one was me using officer. The barrels weren’t exploded because I was the only person with a gun. I told them to cover me until I get the barrels exploded. And once that was done, I had to hold the front line until the hay bale was down. No one else helped, but I still held the line until it was done. And I was the last person at the end of san as well because of my charge. Note to self, officer is goated.
For sapper, it is also important (particularly on endless) to know where you want to setup and place buildings. Placing buildings in unhelpful places can and will hinder more experienced sappers by reaching the building cap. Also, don't have your buildings very dense or close together as oftentimes a single bomber can destroy very large amounts of buildings
this channel is helping me alot considering the fact i started to play Guts & Blackpowder just some days ago so i'm a beginner and even if i play more as sapper and medic i still want to learn about the other classes so i can play on them too, i'm thankful this channel is helping people with tips, tricks and guides about the game, a game i love as i love zombie apolaypse and most games of such are trash and aren't good unlike this one
In default mode (non hardcore), theres a defend trick for sapper, basically 1. Take cover behind barricade (obvious) 2. Keep rebuilding and attacking, (After you swing or do damage instantly start repairing) (Repeat steps 1 and 2) (If theres too much or its hardcore mode, first shove them and swing, then repair then repeat) I main every class except seaman class and officer (Optional: tell people to help defend your fortifications (barricades, stakes), Extra notes, for safety Stakes instantly detonate bombers Stakes can be jumped over, You can also parry a sapper by shoving (time it) Side swing does aoe but top swing does damage, top swing will be important in late game hardcore endless so USE TOP SWING IN HC (Pickaxe deals less aoe so top swing is better) IMPORTANT: Sapper is important, dont do risky things, dont die, Drummer and sapper are the most important
@@Пнн top swing dosent do more damage unless you hit a headshot, which for sapper is overkill unless HC, but imo its pretty hard to headshot with axe, better go pickaxe for that.
for sapper, i'd recommend shoving a lot especially if you're surrounded, or in endless, just camp with a ton of barricades. but if you wanna be frontline sapper always remember to repair buildings. and also, use shove for saving teammates as its faster and more effective, especially with shamblers.
Somes tips as a sapper: use caltrops once you lose too much ground to fend off hordes so you have time to rebuild and use spade for most effectiveness in making strong barricades
For me, as a Main Sapper, one of the advantages is that you or someone else can create a strategy of staying inside the barricades while another Sapper rebuilds the barricade...
tip for sapper: For the shove ability try to unequip axe after first animation of shove to not get the slow debuff and also if ur repairing stakes do this instead of Shove - Kill - 2 Repair, for stakes do this: Shove - 2 repair - kill, also if there are teamates nearby dont bother killing, a very essential tip for the sapper guide. Edit: Also use the stake method for caltrops.
Not a really sapper main, but when i play, i recommend to use shove when there are too much zombies at your barricade and repair it. If you can use the upswing of the axe because you have mor chance to deal a headshot and kill zombies faster, there is also that the axe attack is, how to explain, longer, in the meaning that it hits zombies even when it seems that is not so you can still hit an extra zombie or 2 another thing i say is please use your other buildings they are there for a purpose
Idk what it is with people and their upswing obsession. If you put your shoulder in the zombies face, your swipe is at the perfect head height. Also it's a lingering hitbox. It's just active for a lot longer then most other weapons. If I remember the hitbox is active until you start to raise the axe.
@ManicObsevations yeah the upswing is just a little easier to deal headshots so is ok with the 2 ways. And thank you I knew it was a little longer but I didn't knew how it was called
I don't have discord* You can layer unbuilt buildings. When you fully build them you get, 3 buildings worth of hp and dmg. Use with stakes to delete runners and shamblers. When defending a building, bash, melee, repair twice, repeat. This is optimal. Pickaxe deals 30 dmg to the second zombie hit, aiming for a headshot pops it to 180. This means you can get 100% more kills per swing. SPACE YOUR B A R R I C A D E S. The LAST thing you want is ONE bomber, to detonate 3 rows of barricades. You should aim the gap to be roughly 8 studs. (Bayonet range) this leaves little time for runners and shamblers to grab defenders as they retreat. The axe has a really long attack window, you can run zombies over with the up swing. The hitbox is active from when you release the swing to when you raise the axe.
13:20 You should not use your charge during a crucifix. There's a few reasons why you shouldn't do this 1. Zombies tend to get clumped together from the crucifix which can make it harder to notice a barrel in a horde. Using a charge here makes your team attacks less precise making it easier to accidentally kill a barreler 2. Most of the time you'll be wasting the priest's crucifix as more often than not, a bayonet user (or lance/heavy sabre) will wipe out the zombies before the priest even fully gets to utilize it 3. Both the Priest and the Officer will be on cooldown from the 2 of their abilities. Since you killed all the zombies at once from this combo, you may be setting yourself up to all those zombies respawning at once and/or being overrun. (seamen will love you for this) I'd say those are my major reasons and the rest aren't too special BUT besides that I loved this showcase of the officer and glad it spoke about the niche use cases of the charge with i.e the shambler grab saving and tackles.
The first one I think is pretty negligible. I've never actually seen people charge into a horde and not see a barrel. Maybe if you're playing on a mobile server that one is valid. But the rest I actually understand. Something I should've said is that for some reason people will sometimes see the priests crucifix as a "phew I get time to reload my gun rq" or a "phew I run away now" sorta thing. The charge tends to rally players together to realize "we should probably just take out the horde the priest is building up while we can". HOWEVER the other 2 reasons still stand and honestly I would say is better to do. I would say only do the officer charge with the crucifix if NOBODY is helping take of the horde the priest is building up.
Here’s a tip for doing the most damage every swing this can be applied to multiple classes, but especially the Sapper because of how long it takes for you to do another swing basically strafe around or near the zombies when swinging so you could hit more at once this is a especially useful when using the pickax.
If you go to the settings in guts and blackpowder, go to "Sound" there will be an option called "Hit sound" check that off and it will enable it. I mostly use this because sometimes I don't whether or not I hit something.
A (half) sapper main user here, gonna also give some basic tips: 1. ALWAYS STAY BACK LINE, you are the important VIP with chap because mostly for stalling in endless waves and hordes. Be careful for being frontline however, you can be punished.. 2. Prioritize your builds efficiently, prioritize first with barricades (mostly) because stakes are good but only with low health shambles and runners. Caltrops are only good in endless or Berezina for mostly the runners and zapper. Finally, 3. Decide to be slow or fast. Now sappers can have either a axe or pickaxe, im more of a pickaxe than a axe. But if you wanna go slow heavy hits, go with axe. Fast crowd control dealing, go with pickaxe. But it is your opinion. And shove frequently to make your buildings healthy :)
I am not a sapper main, but I do have some experience with this class (mostly out of obligation if the team is in dire need of sappers… which is not uncommon.) I also only play on hardcore, so it might affect what I write here. Lesson 1: The more sappers, the merrier. Three is ideal; *two is necessary.* Lesson 2: As a general rule, build barricades on any and all chokepoints in a sort of corridor behind each other (make sure they're spaced so bombers don't get them all at once; many sappers make this mistake). Do it until you reach the building limit. Lesson 2.5 (optional): Build stakes behind them as a second line + catch any cheeky runners. Lesson 3: Camp the barricade. Your job, first and foremost, is to protect the team so you must always be on the frontlines. Lesson 4: Shove, swing, and then repair with two clicks. Rinse and repeat (be very vigilant of zappers.) Lesson 5: If you lose ground, be it because of hordes, bombers and/or igniters; just retreat. It should go without saying that a sapper is crucial for the team, so don't take unnecessary risks. Lesson 6: *If* your teammates manages to push back, keep that ground by rebuilding another barricade when pushing forward yourself. Or take this rare moment of breathing room to seek out a surgeon if you're injured. I don't want this to be understated - sappers are an *extremely* crucial component of every single team, be it in objective mode or endless. You, as a sapper, will always be needed in every single map, and will more often than not become the deciding factor if the team loses or not. Without sappers, there wouldn't anything stopping the zombies from having your team be completely overrun - especially on hardcore. This also means they are the ones who end up carrying the team to victory, even if all they do is just… do their job. Remember: protect your sappers, especially since they nearly *always* have to be on the frontline for repair work and melee. As a sapper, you can't relax.
If you as a sapper are alone on the frontline and your team refuses to back you (which has happened to me more times than I can count), you are simply fucked. If all else fails: retreat to the back (because otherwise you'll just get overrun) and build in a place where your team, at the very least, will be *forced* to melee up close and personal. Best case scenario, your team manages to get its act together and pushes back, even assisting you again when you build and repair. It has happened, believe it or not. But, well, this all depends on if your team has any cohesion or not. In other words, you can do everything right and still lose. Despite everything, the bitter pill you'll have to swallow is that, just as your team is completely reliant on you, you are also completely reliant on them to keep your structures up and making sure the zombies don't break through. Don't be frustrated if (when) they end up falling short, it happens. In a way, if you are experienced, you ought to help guide them. But I'm getting a bit off-topic.
I do also think if you are experienced, you'll almost *need* to learn to play sapper if you want to win. More players ought to be encouraged to pick up the sapper class and become experienced with it, tbh.
Sapper tips You HAVE to repair buildings and can actually tank them while zombies are attacking. Remember a barrier isn't to block zombies forever, but to contain them temporarily. You have to monitor your buildings constantly Your axe is one of the best weapons. Use it, because this weapon can DECIMATE crowds if you line it up correctly. Also, if a zombie gets close, use the shove. A very underrated feature you should never ignore FOR THE LOVE OF GOD USE CALTROPS! They're soo good, they can slow down all the zombies, and you can place like 3 of these. Bombers get slowed down, so you don't even have to worry about them. Runners are slowed too. You can easily defend a point with a combo of all 3 buildings. ALWAYS BE BUILDING. Your buildings are op, and if you place them correctly, can stop a whole crowd. As long as there are zombies, always build and maintain buildings. And if they're about to spawn, please get something up as soon as possible. Priest + Sapper is op. A crucifix can make it so you can build and repair buildings. Stick near a priest cause when they pop a crucifix, there is a golden opportunity.
A little bit (or a lot) about the pickaxe because it’s my favorite sapper weapon. The Pickaxe hits the same amount of zombies as the Axe does (which is 3) but only does 30 damage after hitting the first zombie. If I hit a 3 stack of shamblers with a pickaxe, the 1st one hit will die and the other two will get hit but live. However, the pickaxe can more effectively stun chain zombies while having a fast enough swing speed to attack in-between stuns. This can make the pickaxe better at stalling and whittling down larger hordes of enemies that have gotten tanky enough to survive imprecise axe swings like in endless, making it my go-to pick(axe) for endless. I say all this but it can still be a matter of preference.
When your defenses are about to fall and/or you need to retreat, use a grenade and the shove ability once or twice I used this on Vardøhus alot to get Alone at the End of the World (20 waves solo) Edit: You can also lure or stunlock the last shambler after a wave to get more time to build if needed
Tip for vardohus: use the church at and build there i use it to do alone at the end of the world first try is really easy there, zombies can't go trough the windows so stack them inside and go out is an easy and more safe killing process
The time for the officer charge to be able to be gained again is 25 seconds according to the wiki. Also, Sapper + Fifer + Spade + Bugle + Crucifix + Charge = an unstoppable army.
Hey, I don’t know if you saw the comment on the last video on the rifle, but zappers have headshot resistance. The only way to headshot a zapper is to either use the rifle, or abuse a bug where the bullet penetrates a zombie in front of the zapper before hitting it.
You can still headshot them and deal extra damage. It's just they take a little less damage. You especially should be headshotting zappers with your melee weapon.
For people that dont know when to use canister or roundshots: roundshot is better for long distances and to the final san sebastian part, because it's a narrow area, due to its great range, almost infinite penetration, excellent accuracy and the mini explosion that it does when hit a wall or the floor, while canister spreads too much, making it harder to hit a specific place, but canister is better for large spaces and for low - mid distance, because like that, you can hit more pellets 👍😃👍
Try Stun+Swing+Repair, repair barricades with 2 hits of the hammer (To wait for axe swing recharge), Stun+Swing+Repair, repair barricades with 2 hits of the hammer. So on, so forth. Also side swing is better because its perfectly leveled with the zombies heads, making head shots more feasible, with the right timing and right footing of course. Side swing for crowds, up swing for singular, lonely zombies. I also in case of the barricades breaking and with other teammates to watch you, spam the caltrops to slow them down and making it easier for teammates to take them out. Idk about anyone else, but you will always find me in the front of the team stunning and killing zombies to clear a path for the other classes who are much less equipped for melee combat. Another thing too is that your teammates will make you their VIP and will literally do anything to protect you (most of the time anyway from my experience). If you utilize your tools and abilities correctly, you can solo holdout positions while everyone sits back doing the objective to move on to the next objective, hopefully watching you ofcourse if your getting grappled. Now how to take down different zombies. Shamblers: Stun+Swing if in hordes, Swing if theres a stray shamb. Runners: in hordes like in San and Leip or lonely, always Stun+Swing, prevents them from grappling and makes them easy targets for teammates. Bombers: dont hit them, let a teammate shoot them down, but if they are able to blow up a barricade, repair the breach as soon as possible. Zappers: One thing that people dont know is that you dont have to brace for a zapper to hit you, because while bracing you cant move and leaves you vulnerable to shambs or runners to grab you. Instead when a zapper is coming up on you, walk up to them, and shove them the second they swing their axe. That way: you get an earlier opportunity to strike and don't have to wait around for them to strike, be vulnerable standing there unable to move, and you dont have to wait in the parry animation because zombies can gather around you while that's happening. And Igniters: If you can try to strike it down before they toss their lantern, if they do throw it at barricades and you dont have water bucket: either let teammates put it out with theirs, or try to find a safe distance where you can repair the barricades to keep the zombies at bay while they burn to death. I can honestly go on forever, It's all better explained in person, but I main Sapper on Xbox and yknow, cant talk.
when thier are hordes coming in your baricades, flick for 2 times and then repair the barricade, also if you wnat to defend from many hires you should first build a baricade wall and make a second one like 10 studs behind and put informs of the second barricade wall soem stakes then do that parts until you reached the building limit. Then if you have some time to kill a lot of zombies block then and shove then swing, also if their is a zombie with a barrel scream help or zombie with Barrel and if your team is good they will come and help you, these are my tips for sapper.
Tips for sapper:when zombies are breaking the barricades or buildings use the shove ability from the axe and repair after repairing kill the zombies and repeat.sorry if i have bad grammar
This just might be an undisclosed info nugget but to confirm its time. The charge perhaps is 5 seconds duration and that it takes 15 seconds for you can refill it up again
yup, i dont main officer but i main bugle and holy christ i have seen so many people just run out and melee a bomber, see it a ton in the kaub stair case lol
Yo pheonixboxer06 :) you might not remember me but we played a few games together like when you solo won the leipzig twice i was TheIncredibleAmazing. We also had the endless match where you had that bomber zombie called terry i think lol
Not a sapper main, but there are things I can tell you about the class, such as shove loops and the blessing that are stakes. For now, I should really get some sleep…
i like to run the engineer and people dont know that you can shield other players from barrel blasts by standing infront of them. this can be used if they are stuck in a animation and they doesnt have time to run away. oh yea also dont meele barrels with armor its real use is to tank zapper hits incase you are defending with caltrops and shoving. other than that theres the ususal info with timing shoves to parry zappers and using shoves to stun normal zombies without hitting barrels.
as a good sapper user, you dont just let your barricade just DIE. you shove, axe, then repair or repair first. then just keep doing that and its that easy. theres more but this should be enough
I usually play as a sapper at times, and heres my strategy for building defenses. (Please be aware that this is my experience as a sapper) Caltrops are good for slowing down runners and zombies Spikes are great at being temporary barricades and can injure the zombies, Barricades are great for stopping hordes. Here, what i usually do when im defending Caltrops first XXX Spikes Second ^^^ And barricades last _ _ _ XXX ^^^ _ _ _
Horse artillery pistol is basically "I want the db for the line infantry and for it to be slightly more accurate than DB" I actually use this gun because I've found that I dont use my gun very often except for barrels.
Man I’ve mained officer for 700 hours and db pistol has always been better than regular pistol. I used to love regular pistol over it and I would use some brass pistol too but you can snipe bombers spawning from windows in the 2 story house with the globe. Just get good at aiming the spread is not that bad trust me I would be sniping with it there with some other officer that was on pc and we hit almost every shot. I understand you main line infantry but every non shotgun can snipe you just have to git gud (I play on mobile) also, if you really like using brass pistol just use db pistol as double shot does the same damage while having more accuracy, more penetration, and .5 second faster reload. Because of that db pistol is on top of every tier list, even though it’s really overrated it really deserves it as it’s the best gun in the game for most situations😊
If you use sapper you will get slowest mele so use shove alot it will help and you can build and need some space if bomer come it will not kill all your build so you need a lot space like 3 to 3.5 guys that will be good for space if you use the the other one mele you like to do headshots alots
Everyone else seems to be joining fine so idk. I'll remake the invite link just incase Edit: Just remade the link. It has infinite time so it should be working now

Some officer tips in Endless mode as an Officer main with 125 hours
4. You are not a backliner shooting like those Seamens, you are more effective at the frontline protecting your Sapper building from Barrel and your teammates from getting grabbed
5. Practice make Perfect, pistol and DB pistol are not accurate but with enough practice and timing, a single shot can make a different between a safe wall or a destroyed one.
Dont use it when a bugle sounds just either one is usually enough
igniter? so that's where the sudden fire that pisses me off comes from? i thought it come from players... it lags me alot which ends up with me dying or being grabbed and exploded by a barrel
hello hello, sapper main here :D A common trick is to combo your shove/stun.
If there is a horde attacking your buildings, the recommended combo is Stun, Repair a little bit, Swing axe (try to move your swing as you are swinging to the side, sapper’s axe has a ginormous drag and can kill whole hordes in one hit!) You should definitely practice this in a private server, the combo might be a little hard to do first try, but as you use it more to protect your barricades it just becomes ingrained in muscle memory (If you need an example of this, there’s a video of an “alone at the end of the world” badge featuring a sapper strat on hougomount that uses this exact combo)
DO NOT. (P.S. the zombies at the Copenhagen water bucket section don’t die in one sapper axe swing, so you can place stakes to lower their ho before you swing, that way you can kill in one hit)
oh and another thing: depending on the map, MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE YOUR BARRICADES!!! some times it’s fine to leave barricades if you know you won’t need it later, (example: Copenhagen water bucket part, you don’t need to take the buildings down unless you used a lot, there’s no big holdout finale in Copenhagen) Maps like San Sebastián and Kaub are basically REQUIRED fro you to take your buildings down.
I also recommend others to use that strat as well.
yeah basically just paifu
Caltrops can be use to slow down bombers, the issue though is that caltrops have low health so bombers can easily destroy them.
@@Cutepanda1943 that is true… in the cases I use caltrops for bombs it’s usually to slow them enough for my teammates to shoot, though I almost NEVER use caltrops for bombs… stakes are just better
Isn't Shove > Swing > Repair also possible? that's what I usually do idk if it makes a difference.
Officer is the absolute most fun class! It's so fun to use charge and help teammates and shoot barrels. I can't play any other classes I love it!
There's a bit of info you didn't mention while you were explaining how the charge meter fills. You can also fill your meter using your gun (pistol/db pistol), and depending on your actions, you can actually get bonus charge for your attacks. Here's some detailed information on this (taken from the official wiki):
Officer's Sabre:
• Hitting a Zombie (Gain 2% Heat)
• Killing a Zombie (Gain 5% Heat)
• Headshotting a Zombie (Gain 3% Heat + Stacks with Hits/Kills)
Firearms:
• Hitting a Zombie (Gain 3% Heat)
• Killing a Zombie (Gain 5% Heat)
• Saving a player from a grab (Gain 10% Heat)
• Headshotting a Zombie (Gain 3% Heat + Stacks with Hits/Kills)
Dang I actually didn't know this
Some Tips for the Sapper’s Structures
Caltrops: Probably the least useful of the three structures, it’s the quickest structure that can be built only taking 1 hammer swing to set up if you’re not wearing armor.
If you couldn’t tell somehow, I’m tired of newbie and even more experienced sappers build barricades when stakes are A LOT more helpful in certain situations
Barricades: The most used and most reliable of the structures, it has high HP and 6 hammer swings to build. it is good for walling off shamblers when you have teammates to handles shamblers trying to break through while you repair them.
Good tips 👍
Last time I was main sapper I always died but soon when it became my main I learned how to use shove and became main sapper but now am main infantry
is the pickaxe still good today?
The Officer's charge ability cooldown is actually 25 seconds, it just feels like forever because the game is generally quite fast-paced/very action-packed to the point minor details can feel like ages.
Ty
For sapper, always repair breaking barricades if zombies are breaking the barricades, use the axe stun ability and then repair.
Also always use upswing with the axe because sometimes it takes 2 hits to kill shamblers in endless and also I recommend using axe because the it can kill more zombies in a single swing.
This is also the strategy people use in getting the "alone at the end of the world" badge
🤓☝️
i personally use side swing when the zombies are shoved since the shove actually lines up their head for the side swing to headshot, but the upswing pairs great with timing your jump and release of your m1 for headshots as well. I never tried pickaxe, nor have I even bought it. That's not sayin' anything tho
You forgot to put this at the end
(🤓👆)
If you build only stakes and have enough luck then you can get the alone at the end of the world with no kills (with out using any weapon aka the game say you don't have any

Officer main here, but I've been forced to play Sapper so many times because nobody else wants to, so here are my building tips:
(A prime example is leaving behind stakes in Kaub right before you use the cannon to destroy the barricade to the bridge)
5. I also mention how stakes can also be used prematurely to detonate barrels. Place an array of stakes far apart from eachother so one detonation does not destroy the other. (I find this useful for Leipzig's finale where you must holdout before the gate is blown up)
Man, this is the quality of a 1M+ UA-camr. Subbed!
Once again very in depth and entertaining to watch
For sapper, it is also important (particularly on endless) to know where you want to setup and place buildings. Placing buildings in unhelpful places can and will hinder more experienced sappers by reaching the building cap. Also, don't have your buildings very dense or close together as oftentimes a single bomber can destroy very large amounts of buildings
Im confused how you only have 410 subs or something, you honestly have helped me

Thanks for the dedication to this video as well as useful advice.
this channel is helping me alot considering the fact i started to play Guts & Blackpowder just some days ago so i'm a beginner and even if i play more as sapper and medic i still want to learn about the other classes so i can play on them too, i'm thankful this channel is helping people with tips, tricks and guides about the game, a game i love as i love zombie apolaypse and most games of such are trash and aren't good unlike this one
I like how dr house forgets that he needs the cane to walk and charges to the zombies lol
In default mode (non hardcore), theres a defend trick for sapper, basically
1. Take cover behind barricade (obvious)
2. Keep rebuilding and attacking, (After you swing or do damage instantly start repairing)
(Repeat steps 1 and 2)
(If theres too much or its hardcore mode, first shove them and swing, then repair then repeat)
I main every class except seaman class and officer
(Optional: tell people to help defend your fortifications (barricades, stakes),
Extra notes, for safety
Stakes instantly detonate bombers
Stakes can be jumped over,
You can also parry a sapper by shoving (time it)
Side swing does aoe but top swing does damage, top swing will be important in late game hardcore endless so USE TOP SWING IN HC
(Pickaxe deals less aoe so top swing is better)
IMPORTANT: Sapper is important, dont do risky things, dont die,
Drummer and sapper are the most important
200+ subs only?! You are very underrated man keep up the good work and maybe some day you can be as popular as STOP or other g&b youtubers

Me on the way to join the discord just to argue how to use sapper at its fullest
THIS IS TOO UNDERRATED
I don't have discord*
You can layer unbuilt buildings.
There's a few reasons why you shouldn't do this
1. Zombies tend to get clumped together from the crucifix which can make it harder to notice a barrel in a horde. Using a charge here makes your team attacks less precise making it easier to accidentally kill a barreler
2. Most of the time you'll be wasting the priest's crucifix as more often than not, a bayonet user (or lance/heavy sabre) will wipe out the zombies before the priest even fully gets to utilize it
3. Both the Priest and the Officer will be on cooldown from the 2 of their abilities. Since you killed all the zombies at once from this combo, you may be setting yourself up to all those zombies respawning at once and/or being overrun. (seamen will love you for this)
I'd say those are my major reasons and the rest aren't too special
BUT besides that I loved this showcase of the officer and glad it spoke about the niche use cases of the charge with i.e the shambler grab saving and tackles.
This information is very important, very good video bro, it was interesting, i loved it!
Here’s a tip for doing the most damage every swing this can be applied to multiple classes, but especially the Sapper because of how long it takes for you to do another swing basically strafe around or near the zombies when swinging so you could hit more at once this is a especially useful when using the pickax.
undertale yellow ost is goated
7:14 *PLS TELL ME HOW TO ENABLE THAT SOUND, ITS SOO SATISFYING*
If you go to the settings in guts and blackpowder, go to "Sound" there will be an option called "Hit sound" check that off and it will enable it. I mostly use this because sometimes I don't whether or not I hit something.
A (half) sapper main user here, gonna also give some basic tips:
Three is ideal; *two is necessary.*
Lesson 2: As a general rule, build barricades on any and all chokepoints in a sort of corridor behind each other (make sure they're spaced so bombers don't get them all at once; many sappers make this mistake).
Rinse and repeat (be very vigilant of zappers.)
Lesson 5: If you lose ground, be it because of hordes, bombers and/or igniters; just retreat.
Sapper tips
You HAVE to repair buildings and can actually tank them while zombies are attacking. Remember a barrier isn't to block zombies forever, but to contain them temporarily. You have to monitor your buildings constantly
Your axe is one of the best weapons. Use it, because this weapon can DECIMATE crowds if you line it up correctly. Also, if a zombie gets close, use the shove. A very underrated feature you should never ignore
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD USE CALTROPS!
Sapper tip: If you get pushed and need Quick defenses, use catroofs, they are easy to build and slow zombies, giving time to make a barricade
19:22 Yes, this would be fun to see some clips of.
THEY DID MY FRENCH MARINE HAT SO DIRTYYYYY URGHHHH
Edit: 15:06 its funny cause im both a Sapper and Officer main but primarily a sapper main
When your defenses are about to fall and/or you need to retreat, use a grenade and the shove ability once or twice I used this on Vardøhus alot to get Alone at the End of the World (20 waves solo)
Edit: You can also lure or stunlock the last shambler after a wave to get more time to build if needed
OH MY GOD IM THERE THANK YOU PHOENIX THANK YOU IM THERE THANK YOU
For people that dont know when to use canister or roundshots: roundshot is better for long distances and to the final san sebastian part, because it's a narrow area, due to its great range, almost infinite penetration, excellent accuracy and the mini explosion that it does when hit a wall or the floor, while canister spreads too much, making it harder to hit a specific place, but canister is better for large spaces and for low - mid distance, because like that, you can hit more pellets 👍😃👍
Pro tip actually use your block on sapper for it can save a life and stun enemies
Una buena guía 👍👍👍
This just might be an undisclosed info nugget but to confirm its time. The charge perhaps is 5 seconds duration and that it takes 15 seconds for you can refill it up again
Thanks mate, i really need this one
yup, i dont main officer but i main bugle and holy christ i have seen so many people just run out and melee a bomber, see it a ton in the kaub stair case lol
Yo pheonixboxer06 :) you might not remember me but we played a few games together like when you solo won the leipzig twice i was TheIncredibleAmazing. We also had the endless match where you had that bomber zombie called terry i think lol
haha yea I remember you man! Thanks for sticking around!
@@phoenixboxer8231 of course dude 👌had to check out your channel since your so good at the game! Love your videos and keep them coming bro !
If u want to deal bomber as a sapper no bait if they pass through unbuilt builds activates bomber early
Pls do priest next
Not a sapper main, but there are things I can tell you about the class, such as shove loops and the blessing that are stakes. For now, I should really get some sleep…
Only question, what is your time zone? Mines is PST.
tell the saps to use shove more often
i like to run the engineer and people dont know that you can shield other players from barrel blasts by standing infront of them.
this can be used if they are stuck in a animation and they doesnt have time to run away.
oh yea also dont meele barrels with armor its real use is to tank zapper hits incase you are defending with caltrops and shoving.
other than that theres the ususal info with timing shoves to parry zappers and using shoves to stun normal zombies without hitting barrels.
Bro any guides or tips on how to use the chaplain better and gooder?
the sappers axe damages zombies for longer than you think when you swing
Quick sapper thing:
Shove+repair barrier+attack
:]
as a good sapper user, you dont just let your barricade just DIE. you shove, axe, then repair or repair first. then just keep doing that and its that easy. theres more but this should be enough
That is the loudest mouse to ever exist.
I'm sorry I don't have very good noise suppression
14:29 also carbine but I pistol is better if your main is infantry
Btw do your servers host marston runs?
Yes they do. I think I said that in the video
I usually play as a sapper at times, and heres my strategy for building defenses. (Please be aware that this is my experience as a sapper)
Caltrops are good for slowing down runners and zombies
Spikes are great at being temporary barricades and can injure the zombies,
Barricades are great for stopping hordes.
Here, what i usually do when im defending
Caltrops first XXX
Spikes Second ^^^
And barricades last _ _ _
XXX
^^^

me after playing sapper for a while, spike seem to work better than barricage especially in holdout by placing at their dropoff
Sappers can use the pickaxe to break the brick wall in Paris
I thought I'd ask but I'm saving up my francs and I wondering if I should get horse artillery or double barrel
Horse artillery pistol is basically "I want the db for the line infantry and for it to be slightly more accurate than DB"
I actually use this gun because I've found that I dont use my gun very often except for barrels.
@@phoenixboxer8231 thanks for the tip
A bug charge saved me in San Sebastian one time
One of the dead officers activated their charge WHILE DEAD and freed me from a grab allowing me to get on the boat before time ends
Yo how do you get that custom menu icon and chat icon
It's a roblox mod. Called bloxtrap
0:24 I SHOWED UP (I don't like sapper anymore)
Dude I subbed... for no reason except I played with you.. (my name was lemoi4)
I want seaman next
When I use the officer I would just go through hordes of zombies
Bro this guy is so underrated, I have more subs then this guy, and my content kinda sucks, also that intro is very nice.
Does anyone know why there's a dot sound when the sabre penetrates shamblers?
Its a setting that you can enable it on the setting menu on the sound section
Do surgeon next
I already did. Check my playlist at the end of the video
Is it possible to flick with a controller? I play on Xbox btw
Please do seaman
Hey it's me rcmd123456 XD (edit) I'm from COREWIRED server
Supper has three best friends the first one officer the second one is seaman and the third one is infantry
infantry if you have the shove ability you need to shove the zombies seaman shoot the zombies and the officer shoots the barrels
The discord is not working or it might just be me
Everyone else seems to be joining fine so idk. I'll remake the invite link just incase
Edit: Just remade the link. It has infinite time so it should be working now
tip number one:get a good wifi and device since you dont want to be in combat with like 5 fps or 10 millions ping
wifi doesnt really affect FPS gameplay but yea get a better device
when will people understand that ping =/= fps
@@catfacecat. high ping will absolutely ruin any chance of clutching and playing so that why you need good wifi
High ping is really bad.
The zombies won't move and hits won't register, then you'll jump forward to present time.
@@engineergaming8272 it still doesnt prove the fact that high ping doesnt affect fps -_-

ah yes, good ol "Leap-zig"
edit:to be respectful and not just be making fun of you, its pronounced "Laipzig", not "Leap-zig".
I thought it was pronounced with a hard I, so something like Lipe-zig.
Idk that's how my German teacher pronounced it.
@@ManicObsevations im not german, but i asked a friend who speaks german and he said that to me.

Do not melee a bomber and try to not go first your always at the back so if you wont die and ALWAYS WATCH FOR BOMBERS AND ZAPPER AND IGNIGHTER

Ngl the Roblox symbol in the corner looks like the TF2 logo if it was square and purple.
