Gary Shandling was the guest comic and it was his first appearance on network television. Both Johnny Carson and Gary Shandling were great. I really don't understand Florida or men for that matter. My parents are moving down there soon & I talked with my father about this stupid bill. My dad says that those talks should be done at home. I told him, god forbid something would've happened to my mother would he seriously have talked about this to me? Would he feel uncomfortable? He didn't answer the first question but said yes, he'd feel uncomfortable. He went on to say, "When I was in the 7th grade we had a health class for girls & one for boys & that's when we discussed these things." I said, "Yea, but they want to ban these talks in elementary school." He said he agreed with them. I looked at him dumbfounded & said "Dad... you do realize that girls as young as 8 can get their periods, right?" The man had NO IDEA. This man is 64 years old!! He honestly thought 12 years old was the earliest age. He changed his tune after I told him.
If a 64 year old blue collar man doesn't know the earliest age a girl can get her period then why are we letting these old men police what happens when a young girl gets her first period!? I don't understand this country anymore.
