As a sub, I hate/avoid going thru yalls desks, if I do, it's only to find something to write a sub note and a pen to write with! Seen some other subs try and steal teachers candy and snacks, like girl, no! That ain't yours!
I put petrol in my car wearing an elf costume. I was actually quite disappointed that no one looked twice. Good old Australia where nothing's a surprise. 😂
Making decisions!!! Used to drive me nuts when I got home and my husband wanted to know where I wanted to eat out. He thought he was being nice in letting me decide; I had to explain to him that I had just made 10,000 decisions that day and didn’t want to make another one. I didn’t want to be the One In Charge for a few blissful hours.
This was sooo funny!!! I am a retire educator, and everything she did is as exactly as it happens in real life. Once an educator, always an educator. And all of this she does in this video is part of the job. (ja, ja)
Sooo on point!!! 💯💯💯 Pajama Day had me screaming!! Been there, done that!!! (I remembered to bring an extra shirt and some sweatpants this year just in case!😅)
😂😂. Baby yes and I’m just an assistant teacher. But I work with special education. And we don’t get a substitute in our classroom for some reason 🙄. If it’s two of us in there that’s ok for them. I get called out if I put one ounce of food in my mouth 🤣
YES! Bathroom: 100% accurate, as is the “sick enough to do sub plans.” My papers took SO many “field trips” to my house and never left my bag! So relatable!
Former Retail Manager Here: Learn to like cold coffee. You will be less stressed out. (for real it's kind of gross but I would have never been able to drink coffee at all)
Every day, it’s a game of “Guess what random things Ms. Lori brought for lunch today,” because I always wait until morning, nothing sounds good, and I’m running late. 🫐🥦🧀
30 year veteran here….. This can not be more accurate!!!!! EVERY SINGLE THING she did is 💯 on point!
Every. Single. Thing.
Right down to the “I gotchu! I gotchu!”
omg, taking papers home....yep, where i put the bag down on Friday, that's where i picked it up on monday.
It is harder to write sub plans than go to work feeling under-the-weather
Hiding pens and everything else is so accurate!!!! I lock everything up too! Subs be trifling 😅

I put petrol in my car wearing an elf costume. I was actually quite disappointed that no one looked twice. Good old Australia where nothing's a surprise. 😂

Sub plans are a catch 22. If I'm too sick or tired to do sub plans, I'm going to work!😂😂😂
Relatable!! Esp the not too sick to write sub plans and the “don’t talk to me yet”
Teacher work day.. DAY... then comes then it begins again. Hope all ya'll teachers had a great winter break. ☺
Yes to all of this. I’ve only been teaching for 7 years and this gets truer every year.
Yes right on point. I do so many of the same things especially taking papers home that I’ll never grade.
The quiet car is especially relatable for an early childhood teacher here!
I’ve given up on reheating my coffee….”room temperature “ is my jam!😂
I am the same way with my hot chocolate (“coffee”).
Same rings true for childcare teachers. I do not miss those days!
The papers that have come to visit my home for weekends and holidays over the past 27 years is ridicules. I can relate to all of these

Hide all my Flair pens! Priceless!!
That's my favorite enthusiasm teacher.
Done making decisions! 😂 Only teachers understand the struggle

I marked and did report cards in my hospital bed after serious kidney surgery. 😂
YES! Bathroom: 100% accurate, as is the “sick enough to do sub plans.” My papers took SO many “field trips” to my house and never left my bag! So relatable!
I’ve read sub plans you can tell the ‘I’m ‘sick’ on a vacation ones from the I’m actually sick. Have the kids watch videos or do worksheets.
Yes! Just...yes!😅
Welcome to real life teacher world 🤣
Totally right
I FEEL the need to clean the room because a sub is coming so bad! Why do you have to call me out like that?!
Every statement is truer than the last! 😂
ALL of these!!!!
And it all begins again on Monday😭😭😭
'Silent Ride' always made my husband uncomfortable, but it's essential. Essential.
Mailbox overload...so guilty
I've been retired for tive years now, and it's a bit depressing that things haven't changed much...
The quiet drive home is real.
