He simply can’t keep that style up any longer. It worked well enough for him for years but it’s not a good one for heading toward 36 in a lighter division. And, some people seem to have a short memory in that, while he did beat Jorge, neither of them looked good in that fight; the signs of age and slowing down were already apparent and another year and a half has done by.
They were both terrified of each other. Colby looked horrible and Leon didn't look like someone who'll keep the belt much longer.

Colby sold himself out for a character. Disrespected Usman's deceased coach just a year after his death, took a shot at Matt Hughes about his accident, spoke on Masvidal's family, bragged about a supposed affair with Polyana, called Brazil a dump and Brazilians filthy animals, insulted Leon's murdered father, and so much more BS all for money. He made funds but lost almost everything of true value, including his friends and teammates. Sure it helped his career and gained him lots of shallow fans, but with one loss, look how they all turned on him and booed him out of the arena. That's what he gets for throwing respect and honor out for money and attention.

Three things I got from this:
1. The guy who has damage to his nose, leg and ego with the first takedown of Colby's career claims Edwards has "done nothing to win the fight."
2. The guy who claims that Thompson has been talking trash about him at every turn still could not give one single example.
3. The guys (commentators) who said that Edwards should take more chances in the match were the same guys who said round 5 was an unnecessary risk.

I cant believe theres a lot of people who thought Colby was truly gonna wrestle Leon dominantly. Colby has decent stand up to begin with, which he can work and develop in training camp, and thats what he should focus on even though Leon is a true striker as well, its not that leon was a kickboxer like pereira, hes an mma fighter that specializes on striking he just struggles against the likes of usman. I never thought Colby can physically outmatch Leon and i think he should focus on stand up fighting scoring points on combinations.
