Great work! Nice to see the QOL improvements on the optical versions of trilogy.
One thing that has always irked me though is how the life bars aren't full by the time fighters get control, and you can basically start moving your character before the fight graphic is halfway finished

Really nice run man, a few speedbumps but RNG is what it is.
Any general tips for beating the CPU as Cyrax? I'm trying to clear Trilogy with all characters and I've done Smoke/Sektor/Scorpion, but I'm struggling as Cyrax. I know his net can trade with most projectiles for a free combo, but I still haven't really picked up on the CPU's patterns other than backward jump kicks tend to trigger projectiles. Human Sub-Zero especially is giving me conniptions.

Here is a video I did for UMK3 a good while back. The same strats work in MKT as well. Note: you have to be playing on player 2 side for them to work consistently.
As for unmasked Sub-Zero, he has a special pattern where if you jump towards him he immediately tries to Ice shower. You can cheese him with rising jump kicks (similar to what I do to MK2 Jax). More optimally you can get a jump in combo as well but your jump in distance has to be perfect or else you will still get hit by the Ice shower.

Oh man. I don't know if you feel like going back to my stream vod and watching the whole thing but I lost 2 godly pace runs to that stupid uppercut hit box whiff. That's why I said it was "bitter-sweet" at the end.
Cyrax's uppercut is garbage.
@@DarkTenka I've been on a nostalgic (and somewhat pricy) Mortal Kombat kick recently. When MK3 first dropped in the arcades, I was 16 with a newly minted driver's license and nowhere else to be.
Back then, I defended 50 cents like it was a pile of gold.
All these years later, and I realize now that I wasn't bartering with quarters or digital-blood at all...
Time.
Time is the only currency.
You'll sink hours into a game you love in order to shave off precious seconds, seeking that perfect run.
And when you achieve it, your name will be tethered to that game that you love, at least for a little while.
I collect games, quite a few if I'm being honest.
That's how I tether to the games I still love.
I'm not sure which method is more costly...
I suppose they both take their pound of flesh in kind.

Mortal kombat is basically the only fighting game i dont have WR, because i already have WRS in, street fighter soul caliber and tekken, on top of ufc/mma boxing and wrestling.

I don't know what's worse the fact that he's playing a fighting game with a keyboard or the fact he got a world record like that. It just seems so barbaric to not use a controller or arcade stick for a fighting game. Whatever's more comfortable I suppose
