Bono sounds fine. It’s not what it used to be during 360 tour but his vocal is still good. I would definitely pay to see them live and would be satisfied.
That was absolutely brilliant. His voice is still strong. Band are one of the greatest of all time. I LOVE the little medley of Beatles lyrics at the end of the song. Epic ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
We live in a great time, the Sphere, U2, The Stones and others still putting out great music and great shows. The Sphere is going to be the place to see shows now for awhile.

They sound as on point as ever. Their performance style is more subtle, which is a typical evolution for being older, wiser, and more at peace with the universe. You young people--wait--it will happen to you, too. ✌🏼🕊☮
I hope the artists that perform at that venue are playing live each time. From the balcony seats and with the huge video screen the band is almost invisible.....
I heard some people saying bonos voice is gone but it still sounds good here. I think maybe they might be a bit bored playing the same songs for the 2000th time in 40 years. Thats why he changes the melody and lyrics frequently
Innocence and Experience was the last run really. I saw them back to back nights on that tour, that’s right around the time cell phones started to take over.

Yeah, it really seems like a lost opportunity to do something really spectacular with the sphere. I mean, the art is beautiful, but when I hear this song, I expect to see airplanes and CDG airport.
@@hejiranyc A lost opportunity for using the sphere in general, i think they were too soon to get some great visuals, i think in the future will used more to its potential
@@ciaranflynn1397 If there is one artist who could have done it properly, it would be Peter Gabriel. The visuals for his current tour are SPECTACULAR and the mind boggles over how he would have used all of that real estate inside of the Sphere. But I suspect he is not quite popular enough to do a residency in a venue of this size. In fact, other than U2, is there anyone else who could do this? Bruce Springsteen is another one in this category; however, he is too basic to do anything creative with the Sphere. Hello! Does anyone know what section and row this video was taken from?? I’m worried section 102 row 20 will have an obstructed view! Does anyone know?? Thanks!
I’m not any kind of U2 partisan but this is one of the most stunning videos I’ve ever seen. (Except for that part where Bono started quoting The Beatles, that sucked)
He did ok. I'm not blaming him for the band's ridiculous decision to continue without Larry. But it just doesn't sound quite right. Larry is a unique drummer with a unique sound. This just doesn't sound like U2. You simply can't replace a keymember of the family that is U2. Or at least, that's what it used to be. Right now, I think it's just over and done with.
@davidmalarkey1302 Or postponed, at least. Larry started U2, playing without him doesn't seem respectful of the musical journey they've been through together for close to 50 years.
203. The rows are off in some sections, they don't all start at row 1, so check carefully. I think there won't be a bad seat in the house, though. The seats are so steep, there are good views.
Maybe it’s just me, but once you get used to the sphere the show seemed to lack the energy of a typical concert. I saw them at the Rose Bowl for the Joshua Tree tour and I think I like that better. Just me?
Sorry, this doesn't quite sound like U2 without Larry. There are just no excuses for this and I'm saying this as a 43 year long fan. It's the beginning of the end.
As a lifelong fan I have to agree Age catches up with everyone, with the exception of the Edge, whose guitar skills and vocals remain impeccable Sad that Bono’s voice has gone Sad that touring has taken its toll on Larry Doesn’t diminish their legacy, which is second to none
@@sociald4515 Keep defending a dumb decision for financial reasons. That's the thing, when a band becomes so massive, it turns into a corporation. If replacing a bandmember comes so naturally to you, then next time they'll just swap out the Edge and that should be fine too, is that your argument?
@harryireland1935 I don't recall defending anything. I explained why Larry isn't there. LMJ said in a interview he needed back surgery if he wanted to be able to keep performing.

Oh great , more obnoxious people.
I love the stage. It is so uncluttered! The bands must love it there.
I'm guessing that is a custom stage for U2 and bands can have whatever they want. This stage is built in the style of a turntable.
Must have been a spectacle. The sphere is friggin awesome!

U2 was surprisingly stripped down, they used tapes for a couple of track intros like Elevation, which they walked on stage for the encore to.
