    I love how you encourage people to do what they do best. I sew, quilt and do all kinds of arts and crafts. I am addicted to you tube tutorials. I have so many subscriptions but it is because I enjoy them and learn so much, even at my age of 70. I believe you never stop learning or coming up with interesting new ideas. God Bless and keep being you. You are a light on a hill and a sunshine in some one's heart.

    I made these years ago with baby elephant flannel on one side and cloth diapers on the other. More expensive, but I love the way diapers get so soft and crinkly after a couple of washes, and we know they are absorbing. The mother told me later, they were her favorite because of the cloth, and how big I made them.

    I think replacing the fabric with a long tea towel would make an awesome addition to my kitchen. My husband is always looking for something to wipe his hands on when cooking or cutting up veggies. This he could throw over his shoulder like the chefs on TV. 😀 Thanks for the great idea.

      Try looking up a tutorial for a kitchen boa. It’s a long towel you drape around your neck like a dress-up feather boa but it’s to wipe your hands on or use as a mitt when removing hot dishes from the oven. Bet your husband would love it!

    I'm not a sewer for craft, but for repairs. 😂
    I recently researched how to make a fidget mat for my sister, she has dementia, and I found a whole new world. Your videos started coming up yesterday and I subscribed to you and a couple of other people.
    I don't know if I'll make anything to sell. I'm into several different crafts, but it sure doesn't hurt to learn more.
    Thank you.😊

    I enjoy sewing. So I made some oversize bibs with a stretch tee shirt style hole for the head for some kids in kindergarten so when they finger paint they don't get it all over themselves. The teacher's aide saw them and asked if I could make a couple for and adult. Which I did. She said they worked perfect for her mother who must be fed that also has dementia. It helps keep her clean. So she ordered five more. So I made them for her and told her no charge. You just keep enjoying having your Mother here and sharing the little things.

    The good thing about doing any creation is
    [1] you did it yourself, which saved you money from not having to pay for the labor. [2] you come to learn, the do's and don't and with every project you do, you work your way up to being an expert.
    [3] you become amazed that, that beautiful artwork came out of your beautiful hands and can't believe that you have the potential to create it.
    [4] you don't have to wait for anyone to make it for you because you can make it yourself. [5] is all about having a lot of patience and if you don't have any, then ask God for grace to allow you to have the patience to create anything.
    Where there's a will there's a way and nothing is impossible for the King, Lord, and Savior upstairs. If you don't have the patience and can't create anything, it is okay, that's why they are creators that can do it for you. Always remember that with love and kindness, you will open any doors. God bless the world and don't forget to give thanks to the great and Almighty upstairs.

    To make sure I leave an opening on my projects, I double pin at the beginning and the end - when I get to the spot that has two pins next to each other, I know I'm done sewing. I find this to be better than using a marking pencil, since sometimes you're working with a darker fabric or one with a busy pattern and you could miss seeing the marking, but you can't miss two pins next to each other (or if you do, you'll be sewing over that double bump!)

    • @lorettaheadrick8288
      @lorettaheadrick8288 18 днів тому
