- In this video we are taking a first look at the new Sony WF-1000XM3 Noise Cancelling Earbuds. These retail for $230 and should be available at the time of this video. These have an advertised 6 hours of battery life with an 18 hour charging case, google assistant, touch controls, noise cancelling capabilities, and a competent phone app to customize your experience.
I love the charging case, the sound quality is very good, and the noise cancelling is top notch for a pair of ear buds. Watch the video for more specific details and hopefully I answer your initial questions. May I ask what did you to solve your left bud situation.
It seems that if you remove the left ear bud from the case it connects and the right then follows suit.
However if you take out the right bud first it doesn't connect until the left is removed.
Also if you put the left back in the case it disconnects.
Do you have this issue?

What is the voice quality like when using these on a phone call? I've seen other videos where it shows it to be very average.
How nice video getting these on Thursday. I have a question for you I have the power beats pro do you think the Sony's offer better bass than the power beats pro. if you have tested the powerbeats pro do you think they are better?
These are MUCH better than the Galaxy Buds. For one the galaxy buds get very uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. They hurt my ears and they don't operate well with other phones. They operate better with the Galaxy phones. These Sony's are the best I have used so far and I have used a lot!

I'm wondering how well the Sony wf1000xm3 stay in the ear if I want to use them for the gym (jogging and bench weights), as I'd hate to buy them, and have to keep readjusting all the time. Thanks
Yeah for gym and exercise maybe de galaxy buds would be a better option, for everything else Sonys are rly good

Can you reply letting us know about how they react to sweat? Simply after an hour workout indoors. Ears dont release that water but would be interesting to know how they compare to the airpods while working out. My airpods case is filthy for some reason.
Also how far away is the bluetooth connection? Playing sports my phone stays on the sideline and the airpods cut off on the pitch. Can you compare?
I dont like these for running and walking because you can feel the buds bouncing around with the excess earbud hanging out of your ear.
Bluetooth range on these are about 20-30 feet further than my galaxy buds for whatever thats worth.
Very good review. I still prefer over ear headphones though.

I really like the Sony buds its just for me I am considering returning them because I just couldn't get them to fit comfortably in my ear. I kept feeling like they were slipping out.
Honestly my biggest fear right now. The newer iteration of the sonys is coming out june 9th wich im deffinetly getting, but i keep having thoughts of them not fitting. What kinda earphones do you use right now?

if it's skinny jeans even smallest thing will give you discomfort, because why would you create discomfort for the sake of fashion in the first place
otherwise it's like have a second phone in your pocket size of a brick

Lack of volume control really is unfortunate.
These are much better than than the 1000x in my initial testing.

I have been asking this everywhere, on forums, on the Sony website, other reviewers, etc. Still nobody has offered an answer. I promise it isn't a dumb question and I am thinking that others may have this question as well. I really do not know the answer. Touch controls is new to me. Does the touch control interface require actual physical conductivity of your skin or does it still work if I touch the touch control pad with my work nitrile gloves on or maybe just winter gloves? I want these desperately, but since I work in my shop with nitrile gloves on,I cannot use them if I need to remove my nitrile gloves every time I need to skip a track or answer a call.
woks with leather gloves and normal gloves, needs conduction however, so no accidental hoodie, hat touches

I dont own the WF-1000XM3 earbbuds, but i do have the WH-1000XM4s that work very nicely
You do know Bass is not the only thing that means something is good quality. Also you can pick either earphone and one will work not the left one, I'm actually bemused at how you thought that.
is the fit as uncomfortable and unsecure as it looks ? because these have no wings and the size makes it look like its falling out. Great Video Shane , big fan!
I bought this 2 days ago, and by selecting the right eartip, it will fit securely on your ears. I tried them these morning while jogging and they don't fall off

Thanks for watching! Dont be turned away by the form factor, these are very snug in your ears. Just a different feeling than the galaxy buds was all I was trying to get across.

There is a toggle switch on the Sony connect app, so your music will not pause when your remove ur earbuds to your ears
Yes but the music keeps playing on the bud that is removed. It pauses on the galaxy buds
Wanted this to show be how to repack but it just jumped over the contents inside the box in the way it was originally packed

Depends on what your in the market for.
I have them both. All over the ear will sound better and louder than any available ear buds at the moment. That being said, these are the best buds I've owned. The sound is amazing. Noice canceling is on point. They are comfortable and light. They could be louder, but it's not at all too low. Like I said it's really up to you. For convenience and portability, go with the buds. If you're a bit of an audiophile, go for the wh-xm3.
The headphones are easily the best portable audio device I've ever used. Their only downside is a slightly loose headband and they can make your ears very sweaty and hot. But I can't imagine any headphones or buds getting anywhere near close to them.

Dude I am sorry for you , but if you think you can compare the Sony with the buds you are terrible wrong. The Sony's sounds 100× better than the buds

@@ricardorezende9991 depends on how big your ears are, you need above average ones, if you got small ears forget about it, you will get ear fatigue after around 30 minutes, that is if they actually will fit
they are not universal fit, like qcy qs2 for example

Shane Symonds despite the weak picture quality, I really really like the NORMAL screen. Not a fan of other weird screens at all, like apple like Samsung

They never mentioned the IP rate for these buds. I am kinda worried that it's not sweat resistant. Just keep update us since you have these. I am planning to buy one.

Are these sweat proof?
These dont have any water resistance rating. A little sweat is probably fine but I would'nt want to risk a $230 pair of earbuds.
I got these on ebay for $118 used. Only came with the case and charging cord. Nothing else.

All I can say right now is if you are doing any walking or running, you can feel them move around which is kind of annoying, but any other activity like lifting should be fine. But for gym use I'd recommend galaxy buds. Super snug and comfortable and they provide a bit of water resistance which the sonys offer none.
For Gym purpose you can try JBL UA Flash
Dont use these for gym not sweat resistant get the powerbeats pro for gym use

Stick with the over ear version much better.
I just recently got mine and have to say that I can just put the right earbud on and listen to music as well as just have the left one on and hear music. I had to wait just a few more seconds than the left one but it did connect
Ok I'll have to play with that some more tomorrow. Weird I couldn't get it to work.

Vs. Video will be next. Initial impressions, no. But day to day use of the Sony's may change my mind. We'll see!
@@ShaneSymonds If the buds sound close to Sony I the buds are a better buy for me then. The buds are significantly smaller with the case so more portable, better pocket fit. While ANC would be nice I don't think it's worth loosing out so much portability.

I have buds and sony to my ears no comparison sony is way way better .. not quite sure what the reviewer is hearing but all ears are different i guess.
I would say YES! They are built better, sound quality is better and the noise cancellation is WAY better. Plus they are much more comfortable than the Galaxy buds and they operate well regardless if you are using an Android or iPhone. If you are using the iPhone with the galaxy buds...you lose some of its functions.

Wearing these on and off for the past week and a half, I find myself getting nauseous and dizzy after a very short length of time listening to them... I don’t know if that’s just me, or if anyone else gets that feeling. There doesn’t seem to be any real sound stage to these headphones and they struggle to separate some song properly. So some tracks just come out muddled. I know there will be some sacrifices after coming from Bose wired in ear sport earphones, but it is still a very big drop in quality compared to them. I could handle it if not for the nauseous feeling when using them.
you probably can't adjust to in ear due to motion/sea sickness, some people do have that, this earbuds have descent enough seperation for a single dynamc drives. you can try liberty 2 pro's with hybrid 1BA+1DD if you need more sound separation

It seems like these earbuds are really good. But comparing them to Samsung and Apple they are too bulky, do not think it's will be fine to jogging with them.
Great audio and battery, but terrible fit. Keeps falling off by itself. Can't just sit with it on without readjusting.

Annoying High pitch sound, to often even after resetting. Don't stay on ears..too heavy...earbuds suck...have small ears, none of them fit ok... cancelling noise might work better if you get the buds to stay in your ears🔋 Life is great 👍 sound too. 360 sound is better but, after free trial you have to pay monthly fee......
Please guys do not buy this earbuds, other person on the phone cannot hear your voice they feel like you're talking from a tunnel

depends on your bt chip, if it's huawei they have been known to have some crappy bt audio in general, that's why i never got one
