  • There are millions of specimens of ice age plants and animals in the Page Museum's collections. Yet excavators and preparators will continue to dig up, clean and catalog millions of more fossils for the foreseeable future. The Page Museum's Chief Curator, Dr. John Harris, explains how paleontological and climatological research at the museum relies upon on tar pit's prolific fossil deposits.

Depends on the subject you're talking about. Millions of fossils can mean millions of different things that can or cannot be wrong. For example, one million fossils can indicate the shape and structure and life cycle of a single species, but that's if to say that all of those fossils came from the same type of animal. They could also be millions of individual fossils that 'look' like they paint a picture, but in reality the picture we see turns out to be the picture that simply wasn't there. Then there's all the propaganda, all of the extra gubbins, the politics, the money handling, the 'convince me this is real or I won't give you a grant,' or 'I'm convinced you're real because it supports my political agenda' etc, etc. In the end, "Millions of Fossils Can't be Wrong" can be summed up simply as "six words on a title screen." and without a doubt that is true.

JustJake The Universe, and its age, is infinitely larger than the puny Abrahamic god of the Buybull.
Let's take for granted that, as claimed in that so often self-contradicting book written by xenophobic and misogynistic Iron Age sheep-diddlers, this developmentally-arrested deity prone to erupt into genocidal tantrums over one person's transgressions was/is the creator of the world and of the life in it and that that world is a mere 6,000 years old. Well, that world that this infantile deity supposedly created is confined to what then was the "known world" -- that world being comprised of peoples who'd populated the lands surrounding the Mediterranean Sea (as well as the Red and Black Seas and the Arabian peninsula) who had zero knowledge of extreme Northern and Western Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Southern Africa, the rest of the vast continent of Asia beyond the Middle East, the Turkish peninsula and Persia, the island continent of Australia, the Polynesian and Micronesian island chains (also collectively known as "Oceania"), both continents of the Americas, and finally Antarctica.
If this weak-ego'd deity truly had created this World (the entire globe-shaped world which we westerners call "Earth", not just the minuscule fraction of that overall whole which the then "known world" spoken of above comprised), then he should've mentioned those other lands and the peoples living there many thousands of miles away and of the diverse flora and fauna native only to those lands of which those distant peoples were quite familiar with within the pages of that poorly-written book claimed by his believers to be his word according to his infallible divinity and infinite and omniscient knowledge, but absolutely no mention thereof appears; so, one then must conclude that his knowledge of the world that he allegedly created is limited only to the part of the world of which his Iron Age era believers were intimately familiar with and nothing beyond that -- that's hardly "infinite" by any stretch of the imagination.
So then, now that I've knocked your pathetic god off of his pedestal to leave you witness his bust be reduced to scattered chunks of pulverized plaster, I'll sweep-aside your reference of the Young Earther's claim that the world is only 6K years old as the ridiculous nonsense that it is and say "Bye-bye, you're the weakest link"

Brocksta1 That is a possibility; but, given that morphological changes over time within a given species (or an isolated sub-population of said species) is typically due to changes in the environment familiar to them, then it's reasonable to conclude that something about their relationship with the prey that they favored and/or any other predatory animals from another species with whom they were in competition with over the same prey changed over that span of time Maybe the gradual change in the environment as the glaciers receded caused the prey animals that they'd for so long depended upon to migrate elsewhere or evolve into different sub-species with different physiologies to address the threat posed by their predators and/or to process whatever vegetation which they prefer that, itself, likely changed in response to the changing climate as well as any changes in any other herbivorous species with which they were competing with over the vegetation that they preferred.

I've been to the tar pits and the museum a few times and watching them sort through a small pinch of that sand is incredible. I'd love to do it. there's no way to really get a robot programmed to do that just because of the sheer volume of different kinds of bones, scales, shells, etc. it would take far longer to program and do upkeep on a robot, than to just sort through it by hand.

Actually there are countless billions of fossils. Fossils don't lie, but they can certainly be misrepresented to support an evolutionary narrative. For example we have been taught that there is a Geologic Column, but none exists. Try to find a picture of one. It should be a close up, not some far distant mountain range and should show so called lower level Cambrian fossils at the bottom and higher eras ascending per the GC.
Actually so called Cambrian fossils are found all over the planet at every level, and litter mountain tops. Out of place fossils are everywhere.
Here is another example of how fossils are used against the real data.
If there is no link from fish to land animals, and if you really do your homework you will find out there is not, then there goes the whole so-called evolutionary chain of life.
Notice the artwork of Tiktaalik. The tail is small and the kind that could easily slide onto land. Just another example of endless evolutionary fake artwork.
Tiktaalik was a lobe finned fish. All lobe finned fish have broad vertical tails, the kinds that certainly would not be amenable to climbing onto land.
In other fake artwork you see it being shown with strong muscular leg-like fins. But look at the fossil, there is no evidence for any such things. What is left of the fins, which isn’t much, doesn’t even hint at any musculature, much less the ability to climb out of water onto land.
Evolutionists like to use very fragmentary fossils which they can weave fairytales around, with their fake art and fake computer simulations.
The person who discovered Tiktaalik, Neil Shubin, admitted that it is not possible to know if it is a transitional form. But he says that if it wasn’t, then some thing like it was.
The evidence he provides for something like it? Not even a fragment of a fossil.
So that’s what evolutionists have to offer to prove to you that you came from a fish. A very fragmented fossil that we don’t know even had a descendent. And it is nothing but a fish. An extinct lobe finned fish per ichthyologists.
In evolution you are supposed to ignore the real overflowing data and make up stories that don’t match the data. For example, we have countless billions of fossilized fish, and living fish, some of which are lobe finned.
They are all 100% nothing but fish. But instead of looking at them and seeing the obvious, evolutionists want you to look at some fragmentary fossil which they tell emperors new clothing stories about, so that you will buy their narrative.
You ain’t a fish update. Or a bacteria or Lucy or whatever update. You were created in the image and likeness of the heavenly father.

Ice age paleontologists are lucky. They get original bone samples and enough fossils to essentially make living replicas of thousands of their chosen animals and not have to worry about breaking a sweat. With living animals today from a wide variety of sources to act as catalysts for study to figure out how they behaved, we have the most complete picture of this time period.
Unfortunately for us dinosaur lovers, we still have yet to fully figure it out. Oh sure, there are a bunch of people in the last decade who say otherwise, but those are just words. There's a reason why articles don't show pictures of fossils anymore to back up statements, and I bet I know the likely reason why; because there's enough room for doubt that could potentially annihilate decades of research and theory. That's what it all is; theory. We 'believe' dinosaurs are related to birds. We 'think' that they had feathers. We 'estimate' that they likely have all of these connections for a reason. But save for the ones that we do actually find with feathers without a doubt, everything else is conjecture based on incomplete fossils, each of which are put together hodge-podge like some kind of Frankenstein's Monster whose appearance changes once every five years. Sad, really.

      _"Noah's flood would do it."_
_"you weren't there to know that."_
      Scientifically, it's still bullshit.
But according to your own logics, you're wrong.

"Everywhere on this planet there is enough evidence that everywhere we find marine and land living fossils which indicates it was flooded."
Have you ever considered the different seasons, and how extreme they mave have been? I'm in Texas, and the weather here changes extremely quickly. Thursday, it was hot and everyone was wearing denim shorts and short-sleeve shirts, but then on Sunday last week, the temperature reached a low of 60 degrees farenheight. Yet, Texas isn't even directly on the Equator.
Now to actually start my arguement! I'll get straight to the point. Seasons can change life dramatically. One month, an area of land could be an inhospitable desert, while in just 6 months, it could become a great body of water, and then dry out in another 6 months, and the cycle repeats. Now imagine the world in it's early days, where it was really unstable. Imagine the sizes of the regular floods and droughts, and imagine what creatures would come and go in each season. Fish die, 6 months pass, and then a "Land living" animal dies in the same area. A few million years pass, and there they are, together, confusing us as to how they both died in the same spot. Okay, rant over, proceed to bombard me with preaching.

"Millions of Fossils Can't Be Wrong" they dig for video. But, they manufacture/hand make the fossils. Fossils are mostly mineral based shapes, geological age is fossil's mineral layer made by hands.
Millions of fossils? they have big factories? where are they /the factories? may be in Antarctica.
You condition minerals then you say geological age by sedimentation???????? hahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Your gut is right on concerning justified skepticism, but most fossils are real and reconstruction fairly accurate. But you are dead on in reference to Chinese fossils in particular ...there are actually well verified fossil fraud factories there. Their artworks contain real fossils mixed up with garbage.

So your god made up a bunch of animals that didn't really exist and put fake bones of them in the ground just to confuse human beings, whom he supposedly created in his own image and must like at least a little bit. Sounds like a troll and an asshole. I'll pass on your God, thanks.
