- It Must Be Him All The Time by Vikki Carr
This is a really great song about a woman who loves her man. She needs him all the time. I remember watching her in concert back in '81. She was such a great singer. I flew over to New York to watch her.

Vikki Carr and Shirley Bassey have the two best female singing voices of all time. Their voices are so rich and resonating; they just seem to penetrate through you and take you a magical world all of their own.
Yes!!
Shirley and Vicki both have a similar dramatic pronouncation of lyrics!
She is absolutely gorgeous! One of the most beautiful singers.....what a smile.
The first time I heard Miss Carr sing, "It Must Be Him," I was in my car making a 200 mile drive. The year was 1967. I had to pull my car off the road and stop so I could listen. What a talent! I can't imagine why we don't hear singing like this today in 2013. Why? The crap on the radio and TV shows such as "The Voice" are just that - crap. I know some singers of today could sing like this; I just don't understand why they don't and why people prefer music that's so bad. Thanks, Vikki.
I guess I have heard this song before sometime in my life. But today I heard it on 60's satellite radio. I really enjoyed it. And it has been in my head all day so now I find myself listening to it tonight.
Yes, I've actually seen her shed tears, as she sung this. What a voice!
A great question. The alarming thought is what will the young people today listen to when they're in their forties? Probably Vikki Carr and Tom Jones.
Just agree without any doubt. THX.
David Bowie said X Tomorrow Belongs to those who can Hear it X so true 💓 sad today's kids so fed there listen to 1980s music X wish music industry would bend a bit X it's so important part of youth to have good Music X nice times to reamber x
Just fabulous! Those were the days when so many people felt that their entire live depended on a phone call.
Just ordered an album from eBay this morning. This is one of the very best entertainers to ever grace a stage. She was on an old Ed Sullivan this morning singing with tears running down her face.
I rarely use the word gorgeous in describing a lady but Vikki Carr is indeed gorgeous
This is a beautiful song performed to perfection by vikki carr she is a superb and talented performer in a league of her own. Her career has been long and amazingly successful. Bravo Vikki carr
I remember Miss Vicky Carr from earlier days and just wanted to say that it is a real pleasure to reconnect with her marvelous talent. I have been finding her albums at a resale store where I volunteer to support 4 Christian schools in the Chicago area and I have been snapping them up. What a treat to find these recordings and hear that wonderful voice once again. Thanks.
This is isn't x factor garbage its a voice with a live band true talent.
Yea, buddy, no lip synching
One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard that tells the tale of waiting for a call that never comes so well--my thanks to the wonderful VC for giving us this gem!
Heard it on Moonstruck & got me stuck. Beautiful!
What a lovely lady !!

You are so right! this voice is incredible. I would love to hear some of our better singers today sing these songs that say and mean something other than bringing up social issues,
Hi!
Its so nice for you to have listen to the good music,in the 50 those were the days to listen to good music at least we at the choice music for the young and our musics m like Dean Frank Platters ect....Have a good month
James Titus
I just saw her in concert this past Friday! She’s amazing as ever!
I’m 54, and loved to see my beautiful mother singing those songs on the radio, or 8-track. Mother was 79 when she passed away w/two PhDs she was still a professor teaching full time, and always wanted to see Vickie Carr “Live” mother was born in 1932, and passed away in her sleep, but I remember she always dressed & did her hair like Ms Carr, I understand why ,now watching these lovely Vickie Carr videos.
A favourite song of mine for many years! I remember watching Vicki on TV singing this song and she had tears running down her face. I was crying along with her. It’s a song I will never forget.
If only we had music like this today...
_hyo hyo hyo a hee hee hee_
I heard Vikki's version of "it must be him" when I was a little boy. I've remembered her so well until now. Then, I thought she was a terrific singer. But now, I love her even more.
.
+Beautiful World I so agree 100% with you. I remember when my parents brought me to a show and I did not even know who she was. Terrific voice and poise.
I love her singing and I got to see and her, her sing at Harlingen, Texas.
Beautiful World 5
Yes, we are lucky to listen to this beautiful voice. She's an angel down to earth, indeed.
Good gawd she sounded great!! And that ending? Wow.
At one time there was a clip from about '91 with Vikki on the Chuck Woolery show, singing "How am I supposed to live with out you" It was amazing. Even Chuck said to her, after all these years she sounded better than ever. Sadly, the clip has been removed from YT, but I keep searching. It was fantastic and I never forget about it.
I have been looking for that video as well.
Pure Class
What a voice!!!!! PLUS Vic's not hard to look at either... I fell in love with her back in '70.... Thanks for putting this together. .. Gordon
I remember the song from the movie Moonstruck. However, I remember hearing her songs as a little girl from my parents. Talented lady. They don’t have wonderful music or entertainers like her, Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Perry Como, Mel Torme, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, Vicki Carr, just to name a couple. We just lost Nancy Wilson. Thank goodness for You tube to see these wonderful entertainers.
I had never heard of Carr until I was researching a song to add to my cabaret act and I wanted to hear it sung by a native speaker of Spanish...this was about a month ago. Wow...what a voice, what technique, what interpretive powers! I wonder why she is not a household name today.....I guess it dosent' matter.
I took my mom to see Vicki Carr recently and she still sounds amazing. I believe Mrs. Carr took time off to care for her sick husband who sadly passed away.
Just adore this song. Sang with so much passion. Oh for those simple times ☹️
She's so beautiful.
Happy 75th Birthday Vikki Carr
Not possible!

what a beautiful woman. A beautiful voice to go with it. thank you
awesome lady.
Wonderful performer/1969 at the Copa Cabana 💜💖💜
Oh! Wish I was there too.
I was watching Johnny Carson one night- probably in the 60s, and Edie Gorme was talking to Johnny and Vicci Carr was mentioned - I think by Johnny, and Edie said something nasty
about Vicci's singing. I was shocked. Johnny was too. I thought, "Lady, you can't hold a candle to Vicci!" I know she's dead now, but I still remember what she said. I have always loved Vicci's voice and still listen to her singing on UA-cam.
I can't stop playing this song,
Its so beautiful, it heals me, when I'm down,
What a powerful voice!

Vickki Car was born to sing. This song is one of her best. She is the essence of female vocal beauty. This song is new every time I hear it. Richard Shaw is the author of Wendy Sayvetz , Judy Collins and Joan Baez - the beauty of folk music. Audible.com
Vikki Carr is a beautiful classy lady. With an amazingly powerful voice!
hat a great song by Vicki in 1967, her biggest hit.
I've always loved this thing. Makes me rather sad though.

Love Vikki's voice, she is an artist, not just a singer.
One of the most beautiful voices of our time, and the song, stunning.
It must be him is a very lovely song, i never know how much i love this, until many2 years later, how about 50 years later, when i remember the tune very often, yet every time i hv to think very hard the name of the song. I was listening mostly the music, perhaps percey faith version. though i heard the song many2 times as well. It is so soothing, and simple tune at the opening is just very memorable.
It always reminded me of the 60s, when i was still a primary school boy living in Jakarta.
So beautiful, so memorable, and so sad such a beautiful song no longer popular now a day.
Fantastic!!!!!!
My first female artist crush when I was in elementary school.

On this day in 1990 {July 19th} Singer Vikki Carr turned 49th years old and she celebrated by appearing at the dedication of the Nixon Presidential Library at Yorba Linda, California...
Two years later she performed at the 1992 Presidential Summit, which was hosted by President Bill Clinton; and he became the fifth U.S. President that she had sung for, the first was Richard Nixon at his 1973 Inaugural celebration...
Between 1967 and 1971 she had seven Billboard Hot Top 100 records; with one making the Top 10, "It Must Be Him", which peaked at #3* {for 2 weeks} on October 29th, 1967...
* The week "It Must Be Him" was at #2, the top two records for both those weeks was "To Sir with Love" by Lulu at #1 and at #2 was "Soul Man" by Sam and Dave...
