When I drive my Black 1986 Fiero GT, it's a driving experience. It gets a lot of looks, and people 40 and under always ask what it is.
I can appreciate becoming engaged with going through the gears of the 4 speed manual transmission while creating the crackle of the exhaust when downshifting. The way the road feels inches below you as you carve the pavement feeling the feedback through the steering wheel. It won't throw you back hard. However, it loves to be thrown around a twisty road. Anyone who owns or owns one knows exactly what I mean. That old saying "don't knock it, till you try it" rings true for the Fiero.
Thanks for posting a thorough and honest review. Cars sounds AMAZING!
Thank you my friend! I make more friends through cars than sales, for that reason I am 100% transparent. Misleading fellow enthusiasts would murder my reputation in the community.
My first car was a 84 fiero but those air intake modifications like you have on the side added so much character specially if you had the bigger versions that funneled the air from the roof into the engine bay loved those set ups
I love those over the roof intakes. Super cool. I always love seeing cars with them.
Beautiful car, awesome setup, and the sound is super unique! I've been a Fiero fan for awhile, and if I didn't have a nice car at the moment, I would definitely be all over this auction. Good luck with the sale!
Nice car I've wanted to L67 swap one of these for a while, now I'll have to think of a crazier swap
There are lots of options, the naturally aspirated LZ9 3.9 V6 is a nice one. Good balance of power, sound, and efficiency. There are some videos, it's the most exotic sounding pushrod V6 I've ever heard.
Got an 84. picking up the 3800 out of a boniville. Needs a complete engine rebuild. I want to change the front bumper to the gt style
@Matt Querio's Cars it's soo cool to see what others did with theirs. It's crazy how tight the fiero community is. Thanks for thr rundown , it gave me ideas on what mods to do to mine.
My god that's super nice there! I've always wanted a supercharged 3.8 swapped Fiero. Used to own an '87 Z31 Nissan 300zx is when I originally fell in love with the wedge shape, had a Nissan VG3.0 in it, from there had two 02' Grand Prix GT na 3.8's is when I fell in love with the 3800 platform over the years, currently have a Grand Prix GTP with the Supercharged 3.8.. Im definitely a total 3800 nerd thats on all the 3.8 fb groups lol..So Im dying to get my hands on something nice like I'm seeing here..Thats a beauty.
I'm in the Cumberland MD / Romney WV areas, would be a fun ride for these mountain roads in the area, the ole 300zx I had was a blast itself, but nowhere near as nice of engine as a gm3800, an sc3.8 in a light Fiero gt sounds downright dreamy to me!
Really beautiful fiero! What’d it end up selling for on eBay? Truly hope next owner appreciates it.
It sold for just over $20,000. It went to LA. I hope the new owner is carving canyons with it... it was a blast.
Those wheels look great!!
Thank you! I was the first to use these that I know of. Kind of a OEM+ look.
How can I get the pictures of the motor mounts?
Somewhere I have photos of the cradle out. 2 seat garage in Homer Michigan made them.
Price?
The link to the ebay listing is in the description. It's a no reserve auction.

Trade? I have a 04 impala ss w that same motor😅
Lol, no trades, but you can bid. It's no reserve on ebay, currently at $10,100.
what did it sell for?
Lol. It was a really high price. Bidding war on ebay. But, I do recommend the swap. So much fun!
C4 SUCKS!!! I'm confused here. You just bought '88 and then you sold it shortly after that. What was the problem? You don't like 3800 engine? You mentioned you wanted to buy C8? Then, you mentioned you want a stock '88? What's going on here?
The C4 is a great bang for buck. I bought this car for $9000 with shipping. I put another 5500 into it doing a full engine out service, all new suspension and bushings, new wheels and tires, and some light aesthetic refurb. I was simply too deep into the car financially, at least I thought. Other opportunities arose, so I put it on ebay where it sold. I do want a C8, but for now I have a Camaro SS 1LE. I want to own a huge variety of cars that I cannot own at once.
The car itself was fantastic, and performed very well. The sale had nothing to do with the car. The 3800sc motivated it VERY well.
@@mattquerio
Okay, it just seem like you owned it for a short time, but it's not my business. Don't you miss it already?
1500 take it or leave it
Bidding is currently at $10,100. I did do a no reserve auction, but it passed $1,500 in the first 5 minutes my friend haha.
@@mattquerio are you interested in buying a 1986 Ford Thunderbird elan 5.0 V8 for 60 Grand?
@@mattquerio Very classy build, I'm sitting on a 86gt picked for only 1300.
i offer 2500
@@mattquerio oh my Lord somebody's assholes very sore you should have used a little bit of lube I don't think that car was worth that kind of money brand new out of the showroom man did you come out a trooper on that one shows how stupid people are though
Beautiful car. I've had 3 Fiero's but never a fast back or an '88. It's literally is my dream car. I would give anything if I could take it off your hands. I hope who ever buys it they take care of it and give it the love it deserves.
That's my hopes for the car as well, thank you very much for the kind words my friend!
