What a beautiful cathedral, and the kids instinctively know who to follow. It's not all about money. Kids need love.

Those kids aren't even beggars. They're just "used" to the fact that tourists mindlessly give them money when they ask. So they do it again. This is why people should never give them money. There ARE real beggars though, but they're usually found only in big cities, not in the countryside where there's plenty to eat.
I've been there...the kids usually sing to you in exchange for money
@@scottsullivan3362 You mean caroling? Heh. That only happens during Christmas season (September - December). It's not Christmas season anymore. Unless they're busking, in which case, they'd be equipped for busking, instruments and all. In those cases, you give them money depending on how well they sang.
But these ones? Trust me, as a Filipino who once roamed our rural hometown in "packs" like this one, I KNOW they're just doing it for the shits and giggles. No matter how dirty and snotty they look, none of those kids are starving. That's just what happens if you let children play outside in the tropics.
If you can be sure that they are not beggars (which is easy once you see how true beggars look like), or are not performing, _never_ give these kids money. It reinforces a belief that foreigners are all rich, not to mention it's about as dangerous as encouraging kids to take candy from random strangers. Just be tactful about it though, kids can be vindictive when insulted.
Comeooooon maaan.. We all know that All kids all around the world will like some small change for sweets... Did you already forgot your childhood days ,,,,
Bantayan was our mainstay summerbreak(springbreak equivalency) destination from Cebu Doctors' University between years 2003-2007. Nursing students from all over other schools were around as well during the summer break. We had campfires with other university students whom we didn't previously know. All the beach bunnies. Good times 🏖️😜👯♀️👯♂️
Bantayan island is the little Alaska of the Philippines. Lot of people traveled already here lods hundreds and thousands of visitors travel here every week. Thank you our island, my hometown and I knew that you really enjoyed there.

I was just on Bantayan last week..visiting wife's family..Who are natives..and friends...I like Santa fe...whole place is nice...usually the Kids sing Xmas songs to you wanting money..I'm going to buy a plot of land there and build a house on it. Place is already started to boom

Bantayan is a beautiful and quiet place to relax and unwind. People were kind and helpful. My family enjoyed our stay there. In fact, it was the highlight of our trip to the Philippines.

Bantayan Island is the last place that I visited in the Philippines. I really loved the vibe there and the food options. It's one of my favorite islands so far. Btw I thought this was filmed in 4K the quality was so good but turns out it wasn't. Great stuff!
Haha actually it was filmed in 4k, but I render in 1080p just for faster uploads.

@@silverspikejs it is for sure. I did some testing and absolutely shooting in 4k and then down scaling to 1080 still looks better than just shooting in 1080 haha.

What an AWESOME video! You did an amazing job of depicting the island of Bantayan and all of its beauty while including yourselves. You kept it fast paced, varied the music. All the shots were well framed and lit And the editing was a grand slam!! I'm just curious, as I delve into a new channel myself, and realize not only how difficult video editing is, but also how much creativity it requires, how much of an idea do you have of the flow and pace of your video before you start? And how much does that vision affect your shooting?
Thank you so much. That means a lot. For a vlog like this I honestly go in with pretty much no idea of the flow or pace for the over all video. That absolutely doesnt mean I'm not actively thinking how shots can flow together, but for this type of vlog I would rather just fully capture as much of the experience as I can then carve out the story in editing. I could for sure take the same footage and make like 5 totally different feeling vlogs. All about your personal creativity in editing.

The trash in Kota Park, usually happen after the typhoon.. Because kota park is the tip of the island and the current there is different, thats the reason why the trash stays there. And also the houses there whom not supposed to be there.
But 1 year after this video, theres an improvement at least.
I'm impressed with the quality of the video. May I ask what equipment you're using ( body and lenses). I like also you mention the "negative" things that you encounter while you're travelling. It's not all" amazing "as some other vloggers. Get off the beaten track.

Thank you so much. This was shot on GH5 with Laowa 7.5mm and Lumix Vario 12-35, with Mavic Pro for the drone. Was shot in 4k as well then rendered in 1080p for faster uploads. Also I dont even see all of this as negatives, it's just how it is. We just want to be sure to show how things really are. We actually really dislike when some other vloggers try to act like the Philippines is just a wonderland where nothing bad ever happens. I do love this country, but it's still real life.

There are times in lawis there's no trash it will washed out depends on the season. Just like in sta. Fe there are seasons wherein seaweeds are everywhere in the seashore.

@Wing Commander check Florida springs. There are plenty to choose. We went to Blue Springs for the manatees but there was a long line, so we quit and went somewhere else. Goal is to visit 4 a year.
@Wing Commander years ago, whenever i was in panhandle i would ask for the fish heads and i got them for free, until they realized we made soup with them. Then they started charging

The trash you see is mostly wash-off seaweeds and an effect of the wind condition of the tropics called monsoon.

you used the key word " AWARENESS" about the trash in the island. it should start from the resident
trash in bantayan is not all trash in bantayan....bantayan island have 3 municipality,,and this feature trash is in madridejos.....it is because the lgu have a ruling that only non-biodegradable that is segregated is collectable once in a blue moon....your biodegradable even if it is segregated trash is your own problem....that's is why seaside resident has the option to throw it on the shoreline....
Post that garbage guys so the people in that place bantayan will a shame for what they did to beautiful place..
