You only need 6 of any traded pokemon max, seen as you can't trade it and then you have to consider whether it has a shadow out, but with mewtwo priority should be 1 shundo for the mega and then 5 Shadow shundos and then if ultra necrozma is better then you may want to replace those

I personally never transfer shiny Pokémon, preferring instead to send them to Home since I do play other games. I think that even if I didn’t, I would feel better giving that shiny to someone who wants it rather than just deleting it.

@sambeaumont395 you can still put it into pokemon home and trade it that way. There is no limit on trades in the main games.

Either way it is no longer in Pokémon Go, and cannot be returned.
It feels like a job once you get to a certain point. Im at 4200 storage and hate that I’m lazy and bought storage instead of doing a major clean up
I really wish we could search the exact IV so we could get rid pokes in our storage that we don't want. But I'm guessing Niantic banks on the fact that we can't go through our storage easily. People will buy more storage because it isn't easy to go through and transfer without spending time, so people with money and not as much time will just buy more storage.

In theory…
1000 unique Pokémon (dex#)
x2 (1 normal, 1 shiny) - keeping just the highest iv.
18 different types (water, grass etc), Building teams of 6.
+72 extra Pokémon at max (account for two already per above, but could be less due to using different Pokémon for the same team, or normal being irrelevant etc.)
Add in Shadows for each Pokémon
+ 1,000 (not that all are currently available)
That’s 3,072.
Add in PvP (if you care) say 20 Pokémon for each Great, Ultra and Little cups (master league included in original 1,000)
+60
Now you are up to 3132.
Finally costume Pokémon.
Non Pikachu + 100 (say/estimate)
Pikachu Family + 10,000
So total bag space needed is 13,232 for long term holds.
Maybe need 2000 extra for catching, holding to trade etc.
So total bag space needs to be increased to 15,000 or 16,000.

Remember the guaranteed lucky trades, (2016 -2017) are your first 15 trades; not 10.

Lol, that was savage. The biggest thing I suck at is judging the PVP value. I hate PVP. 😕 Second worst is judging the value of movesets.

same PvP values are a pain to judge,

I also hate judging pokemon for making raid teams.. #1 counters are always based upon perfect IVs, but what happens when your pokemon are not 4*.. hate it lol

But also the more you increase Pokémon storage the worse maintaining it will get.
Not such an issue with Item Bag and new(ish) layout has helped.
Thankfully the postcard book is easy to maintain (although wish was simple tap, select all, delete all).

What would be more helpful is if Niantic would take the special trade limitation off so we could trade more legendary and shiny in any given day. That is what really kills the bag space. Even if they made it 5 a day would help significantly
my personal strat to storage space. I keep GBL mons with very good IV's. I keep hundos. for comm days, I get about 30 shiny average. so, I send 5 to home for keepsakes and evolve 5 or so. or maybe more depending on how relevant the pokemon is/will be. like garchomp, metagross, dragonite, tyranitar, etc. those sudo legendary, I evolve more to mirror lucky trade. random shiny pokemon i get anyday, i keep or send home depending on if i have a lot of them or the rarity of the shiny. 99% of the pokemon i catch i transfer. also, i only lucky trade for shiny pokemon. mostly legendary. and if it's not a 96% or better. i transfer or send to home. I used to keep every single shiny pokemon i ever caught. since i've changed that, i've probably transferred/sent home maybe 500 shiny or so. my storage space is also only 3000 and i keep around 1500 or so. that way, for comm days, i can quick catch and never worry about storage space. so yeah, very long read, apologies. but have a nice day!!
I would also add patience is a virtue in the game. Cause even if a move update happens pos announcement later the Pokémon will have an easier to access I.e seel.
That number system is the system i use and its really useful

I always have to delete some Pokemon because I'm a hoarder. I'm going to get the storage increases up to the max while also deleting a bunch (especially since I'm probably not doing PvP tourneys anymore) before heading down to NYC this weekend.
Hopefully I catch a Sigylliph and it’s better than the one I traded for!!

I keep the best shadow, non shadow ,shiny or costume for each so at max I have 5 of one Pokémon. only keeping 90-100%iv other than new shinies

I tend to keep at least 1 of every kind of pokemon then a few copies of legendaries.
I do as much filtering as i can every day. But i only get to pidgey in pokedex order

I traded all my Tyranitars from the Mega raids to my GF who just started playing. Now she has like 10+ Tyranitars with over 1500 CP while the rest of her stronger Pokemons are like 1000 CP Tangleas and Combuskins lmao

if you're on level 44 should you essentially waste the dust to purify junk shadows that cost 3-5000 each before you transfer them? particularly when the cheap 1000 dust ones are almost non existent?
as for rattata i'm always on the hunt for tiny ones, same with xl magikarp, gotta get those medals somehow
IMO your trainer level is irrelevant to the question here.
Do or don’t should be more about the Dust resources you have, how you typically and/or occasionally spend and the ability to recoup it should you spend it.
Also should consider why are you purifying?

- convert to 100iv

A few premium items, anything else?
Wait out for the 1,000 dust ones and/or work through to get the purify dex, hundos, but still consider your dust resource spending and recoup rates.
There should be no rush.
You can already get XL candy, you can already power up Pokémon to level 50. Trainer level if anything only has a negative value (supposedly shadow battles get harder), Pokemon level has more relevance.
In most cases (apologies if a bad assumption relative to you), a player gets to 45 then completes those tasks quick and has to wait for the XP to catch up before can go 46 - so what is the deal if you build XP up in advance?
Late response, but 1,000 for sure. I know it's tempting to do 3-5's, but you'll easily collect the tasks way before you gained enough XP to level up (otherwise if you did have the XP to just jump, I'd assume your stardust bank would also be bigger and the question would be irrelevant).
Don't overthink it, take it nice and easy. Though you may want to quickly go through all these tasks, you can easily complete them over the course of a month or so and it's not like your XP is going anywhere either. In any case you'll probably hit one that you can easily go through (the GBL level for sure) and you'll be back to needing XP instead of tasks. My advice as a nearly level 50 twice over.

Bag Space & finding the best IVs for Go Battle, is the most annoying part of this game for me
I couldn't imagine searching for those PvP IV's haha, that sounds rough. I've been running almost the same 3 teams since season one, only having just switched up my UL team this season.
I also switched the ones I've been using from S1 for better IV mon though the years but only once per pokemon. It think there are mid teens and that's good enough for me. Hunting those #1s when you basically can't trade for 95% of them sucks.
I have a bunch of Pokemon from 2016. I just started back playing about 3 weeks ago so I’m trying to familiarize myself with the ins and outs of good Pokemon to have so that I can start being more useful in raids. If anyone is willing to get rid of any spare legendaries I’d really appreciate it.

Personally, I dont care about PVP Pokemon. I am not a hardcore player nor can I consider myself being casual since I play everyday. I cant be transferring shinies (unless there is an abundance from some special event), 100% IV, or legendaries (unless again I have a lot accumulated somehow) though. I am pretty that vast majority of people do not as well. There are a lot of casual players that don't care about IVs at all.

I transfer most shinys to Pokémon Home, even those that I have only one version of in Go. I ain't gonna use most of them in Go, so I don't see a point in keeping them there.
I can safely say, that lvl60 for pokemons wont come.
The reason I think is that in normal pokemon game lvl100 is the max. And pokemon lvl/accaunt lvl is =1/2 .
When you lvl up once, you can power up pokemon twice, so the "lvl50" pokemons are really "lvl100" ones.
And the cp is calculated by this. This is the reason that while at lvl40 a 15/15/14 can be a technical 100%, at lvl50 it cant. Becouse it counts as +15 to the stat, and hp is the only number is rounded while defense and attack are not.
When lvl50 with 15/15/4, the pokemon gets +15 attack, +15 defense and +14 hp, but at lvl40, they get +12 attack, +12 defense and 12hp even tho its only 11.2 hp. If im correct.😅
No, they are Level 50. When you transfer a Level 50 maxed out Pokémon to the main series, its Level 50.

Pretty sure a lot of pokemon got their CPs recalculated once they were starting to put code in for level 50, so I'm sure they would do the same for 60, however the idea/grind to hit level 60 pokemon would be insane.
Personally I think level 55 should be the next cap, with a re-shuffle on XL candy requirements. Perhaps slightly decrease the needs per level. Now for those of us that have level 50 pokemon and would be affected, just raise the pokemon up to the level with 296 XLs needed. If in the middle, round up as a sort of good will leveling system so we don't just have 10,000 CP pokemon breaking the game (looking at you M2, Ray, and Black Kyurem).
Level 60 can come later, but as a good chunk of players had hit level 50 XP requirements, I'd say level 55 would actually give trainers a XP mark to hit, seeing as level 40 was 20M and level 50 was 176M. Think by the math level 55 was supposed to be like 700M with how much each increment was going. Idk how true that is but like I said would actually give most of the PoGo community a XP mark to try for.

The real issue is that Niantic is theone that needs to give us more bag space!!! I have played many game in my life and never come upon one that will not allow you anytime to expand you space. As long as one is paying for it than you should be allowed to do it. As someone who is in tech I know this little pic of a pokemon does NOT take a lot of server space even in the billions. Just give us the ability to buy space when we need it. A billion dollar company quit nickle and dimeing us to delete delete delete!!!!!! No offense to you Billy there is to many mass horders out there but there is some players who do have bigger collections and 6500 spaces is not a lot based on 750K catches!

Oh Generation 8 only had one mythical pokemon Zarude, since Zarude already debut in Pokemon Go so it probably will not introduce in Pokemon Go huge in game event like annual pokemon festival and regional tours except it's shiny form.

Generation 9 currently lack of little cutie mythical pokemon.
Why? Niantic use these little cutie mythical pokemon to 'sell' to pokemon go players on Pokemon Festivals and Regional Tour that why Pokemon creators very fed up and disappointed on this situation. So Pokemon creator stop on creating little cutie mythical pokemon in Generation 9. Sorry this information not true but that's is logic.
Anyway Generation 9 was a lot of legendary pokemon some of them are modified legendary from previous generations.

The idea for this video was good, but the execution? not so much.
you need to create rules of transfer and not go back and forward, this sound like an unplanned way, and that won't work for many users, not everyone can raid 5000 times per Pokemon.
Personally for me, 0-2* immediately get the boot. Keep around 6 of any/every shiny you want to swap, delete the rest. Costumes do as you please but I'd say it's 50/50 for people who care and don't. Get 1 hundo of every pokemon while also keeping multiple high IV pokemon for meta attackers. Give yourself maybe 5 GBL pokemon to use for each league, and the rest could be your catch space.
Bro based off all those extra, Bulbasaurs, you just hella hoard and dont take the time juat transfer them. IVs aren't THAT significant for GBL and honestly you're just promoting more hoarding with all these POTENTIALLY good Pokemon in the future. Not exactly your best video
