They are the 2000's Velvet Underground as far as I'm concerned. Absolutely brilliant band. Love them.
I love this group! I saw their short set in 2005 at Coachella and have adored their music ever since. Singer Jenny Lewis has several solo albums. She was also a child star, appearing in "Troop Beverly Hills" and "Little Monsters" in 1989.
Love them as well! Don't forget she was in The Wizard as well 😀
Blake Sennet, one of the other members is also a former child actor (Salute Your Shorts, and Boy Meets World). Love Jenny Lewis.

I loved Jenny Lewis back in her acting days and her solo album Rabbit Fur Coat is one of my favorites!

That's actually the first Rilo Kiley song I heard! They used to play it where I worked and when I sought out more by them I found out my husband was already fan of their earlier albums and we had a few songs floating on our iTunes.
