You can also get the Blessed Dew Talisman by teleporting from the Tower of Retun in the Weeping Peninsula and looting the chest near the Golem in Leyndell.
I always used it to tank poison damage while walking through poison caves and it can save using flasks.
Using the Blessed dew in combination with the Royal Remains armor you actually can't be killed by poison or rot
@@Uncommon5en5ehow about scarlet rot? Anything good to tank that? I’ve used up all the boluses and need something better
You can get the blessed dew talisman early.
Also, to get the soreseal more easily, use the beast repllent torch and the rats won't attack you. send an ash spirit in first to keep the bats away from you. Quit out once you get the talisman to reset aggro then fast travel out.
If not afraid of Fort Gael, you can get the strength talisman also. Best tool at low level is a couple Bewitching Branches to make enemies fight each other while you go looting.
Ain't no way, I just came back to your channel after months... and its just amazing! Great content and production. Congrats! Success doms
YES! Been waiting for a new vid 😁
Thank you for putting this together.
thanks for the videos Dom they really help getting these awsome sets
thanks for this comprehensive no bs list...i made a lvl 40 invasion build and don't know what to fill out my slots with without too much effort/main game playing/no trading
Again I just wish to state/ U r the BEST narrator (easily understandable and concise)of all the videos I hav viewed Re: Eldin ring
great list ! thanks for your content DOM :)
Radagon's is exponentially better early game, because it is giving you 20 free levels in relevant stats that can effectively make you around 10-30% tankier by giving Health and more equip load allowing better armor. All in return for losing 15% of your total armor rating. Meaning that early game the Radagon's seal essentially can allow a full set of armor and more HP, in return for taking essentially the same amount of damage as you would without it. While also being givin 5 stats in strength and Dex, allowing higher requirements weapons to be welded.
Meanwhile later in game the relative increase I'm benefits those levels provide may not be as beneficial when that flat penalty is still being applied.
Thank you so much 🙌🏼❤️
You might never see this but I've watched lots of elden runs or short guides to get items but never really understood what's going on but you've changed that so thank you for helping me out and my playthrough and wherever you are hope you have a fantastic day
Awesome video and tips ! thanks for posting - managed to get "Radagon's Soreseal" but found it way easier using a Torch !! - cheers - subscribing and checking out your other vids
I'm on my 4th character now, but I always missed the haligdrake talisman in the strandad graveyard. It'll be quite useful for my Margit fight.
Thank you for this video- in fact thank you for all your videos as I’d have never had progressed the game without you.
Can you do a video on best talismans in the game not just those you can get early, like a top 10? I’ll donate a super user if you do.
You and Fighting Cowboy are my favorite youtube gamers
Merry Talismas, Dom!!!
Can't believe your on 101 thousand subs, well done dude.
Falling down the cliff actually worked! Thanks
You can get the Arsenal charm +1 from the Altus Tunnel and the Dragoncrest Shield +1 from the sainted heroes grave with a stone sword key
Not to mention the Great Jar's Arsenal. Which is a strict upgrade to the arsenal charms.
To get that, you have to go through the Siofra River Well underground area. You can get there from the lift in the Mistwood. After making your way across the underground area to the other side, there's another lift. This takes you up to an isolated area of Caelid. From their run North towards the Caelid arena. Talk to the giant jar. And then fight all three knights of the great jar. (Pro tip. Go into offline mode before you do this, in order to avoid dealing with Rivers of Blood, Moonveil, Melania spam and other abusive characters). Once you beat all three knights in one go, you'll be awarded the talisman.
I wish I had known about the trick to distract the bats at Fort Faroth! That took me so many tries to get through there! Though to be fair, it was usually the rats or ghosts that killed me lol.
a pain for real, but knocking the wall is a great tip which i didnt know about. I knew about jump attacking the fat rat through the wall though lol
Wow, this is amazing thank you so much! As someone who only does no-death runs this is great information. Trying to optimize my item usage for each section of the game.
Yes! The spirit springs are so much fun and it's amazing all the silly things you can do with them, and the view is usually amazing.
Thanks for another great video!
Sometimes you show where you start to go towards where the talisman is, but knowing the exact location of it on the map is much more important.
Finally am going to start this game tomorrow so all the help is appreciated.
Good luck with your run! There is so much to take in so I hope you enjoy it! 😁
I hate how he shows the burned Erdtree in an early game video
I always found it a bit BS that radagon's sorcseal is essentially given to you at the beginning of the game if you know where to look, yet Marika's (the mage-oriented version) is hidden away at the absolute end of the game. You can find the lesser version ealier without fighting any boss though, but it's a bit of a scam for what it costs to equip it
I found a stone sword key while getting the erdtree favor talisman. While fighting the 2 bosses in the room where you find the talisman I got knocked down. I caught my self on a ledge then fell the rest of the way. There is an elevator that takes you above the whole place, you can look down and see the ramps you were running on previously and there is a stone sword key and a gold glowing enemy.
Great intro!
Pretty sure the first talisman (the holy resistance one) works against Margit's golden hammer and the gold projectiles he throws
Hello there. I have watched all your videos about things you missed in elden ring and in one at least you mentioned that we share some, but I don't remember which one. So I will do it right here. I don't know if anyone has already discovered these, but, well the internet is big so...
1- The trolls that are dragging the carriage can actually break the carriage if you make them follow you. This made me panic on NG+1 because I was going for dual weilding the carian sword. If you sit at a grace the CARRIAGE DOES NOT COME BACK... yes... fortunately if you quit out it comes back... but that scared me :P
2- if you are sprinting with torrent while attacking with a short bow torrent does not slow down, which he does with the long bow. I think it looked cool. I have more but this post is already HUGE.
Getting Radagon's Soreseal was the most infuriating thing ever! I did it before watching this video, so i went in blind. But damn i died like 30 times, worst part was the spectral soldiers and the giant rat.
I hate the jumping you have to do in Caelid you have to do to get the talisman and dagger. Platforming sections have never been fromsoft strong side, but in elden ring they made them especiall annoying.
I just got ragadon’s scarseal at weeping evergaol after beating the npc mini boss there it does like a extra 3 levels to strength but also increases int by two
To be specific it increases my vigor, end, sth, and dex by 3 and my int by 2 my base stats are 16 for everything except int faith and arcane w int at 15 faith at 10 and arcane 13 (still at start of game lolz)
What if we already killed Godrick but want the 15% weight load thing can I do anything?
First talisman I get is the blessed dew, because it reduces my health flask dependency
hello dom please make a video of the most ignored items in elden ring like we see it but didn’t even bother to get it cause its hard like the one on top of a wooden ledge inside sellia tunnel it took me awhile to figure that out and the item is worthless😅😅😅
Greyll really drags out having his energy bar on screen, doesn't he?
How is the Two Fingers Heirloom on here, but not the Winged Sword Insignia?
Elden Ring GOTY ( as far as Radagon Seal it's similar to how to choose Godrik seal versus Radahn, for example)
heychpee yessirr lol I love your accent
Question, wouldn't the dragon shield tailsmen offset the damage increase from the soreseal?
Great Jar's Arsenal is also available w/o killing any bosses. Just, bring some decent bleed or you'll be smacking 2.3k hp reds for awhile. It has more equip bonus than the arsenal charm. Costs 2 keys and a quick walk through Siofra
You don't need to fight any of those red dudes, you just crouch on the rock and they jump off the edge, easy peezy.
@@truthserum273 I mean, yeah...but then why "play" the game. Might as well just uninstall and watch a movie at that point
@@Valrok1870 I have beaten the game 5 times with 5 different builds you virgin nerd.
@@truthserum273 No need to be hostile, just stating the obvious. What's the point of having and INTERACTIVE media, if you are not going to actually INTERACT?
I choked on my coffee when you read out the script about HPs and penalties 🤣 this gives me Reddit vibes.
talisnan, fetish same difference lol good morning afternoon evening to you sir
But you CAN survive after looting the Soreseal. Just buy the Beast Repellent Torch before you go in and the rats will just ignore you long enough to enable Fast travel. Ez pz
You actually start with 2 stone sword keys as a keepsake
There is also a unique dagger on the same platform as the dragoncrest talisman at the bestial sanctum
Merry f’ing Christmas Dom! And Happy f’ing Holidays to all my fellow Tarnished! Enjoy the holidays boys and girls! And remember to take a break from the Lands Between to spend a bit of time with your loved ones!
How is it that when someone does a jump attack and I clearly hit them nothing happens and its not with just one attack or one weapon type
I believe it’s talispersons
Spirit Spring Gang Rise Up!
...are you Josh Widdicombe? 😆
Talismas
I'm still so sad the first dlc they waited 10 months to deliver was pvp only, I want a reason to play elden ring again, I want to experience the lands between one more but I've touched every nook amd cranny killed all to be killed collected all to be collected. So what is left, but loneliness oh how I want actual gameplay dlc
lol I love this channel but it is the king of _DAE?!_
It's talisthems..
Looks like Sam Smith will have something to say about this lol
Crimson Amber Medalion, you can just pick it at the character creation screen. In fact it's the ONLY thing worth taking. Also, Favor stacks with Soreseals, so I'm not sure why you keep talkin about taking one or the other, stack that shit up son! Other than that, great video!
W😂
Didnt finish Hogwarts Story,
the game got too repetitive imo , so I went back to Elden ring
“Talismas”
Talismany? 🤣
Basically the Soreseals are good early-mid game because the static boost is good but as you get stronger percentage based increases are better. Remember the enemies get stronger too so the damage increase helps them. There is a correlation there. I like to think of it like this: the Soreseals artificially inflate your lvl by 20. At a certain point being over-leveled doesn't really matter and by keeping it equipped you're giving your enemies free extra damage.
Additionally, translating that statement that Doms got rather confused by, at that certain point where being overleveled isn't worth it, you are also using a talisman slot for the Soreseal instead of another talisman which would have not only no downside, but probably will give you a greater boost to damage at the same time, meaning you are taking a double loss in both effective damage and HP, spending a full talisman slot on effectively only +5 endurance.
Like, if you have a Heavy club+20, a weapon that only scales with strength and not with dex, and you have 25 strength, that makes your AR stat in the menu 326. Every attack you do will then take that value, run it through the damage calculation based on enemy defense(a flat reduction) and negation(percentage based), and out comes your actual damage, which varies based on the enemy. Using the Soreseal, which gives +5 strength, that increases your AR stat to 343, meaning that those 5 levels in strength gave you an additional 35 damage, which is equal to roughly 5% of an increase in damage. At that point, any talisman that gives you more than a 5% damage increase will end up giving you more of an increase to damage dealt than the Soreseal will, such as the Shard of Alexander giving a 15% increase to damage for any skill, or the Rotten Winged Sword insignia giving you a 6% boost after 3 hits, which then can scale with additional hits up to 13% of a boost at maximum.
Yes upgrades will make those +5 levels give a bit more damage, but at the same time, a % increase will also give more damage since it gives a larger boost the larger the base number, whereas flat stat increases give a set amount based on the weapon level. Getting a 6% boost minimum that scales up to 13% as long as you stay in combat, or a permanent 15% boost to skills is waaaaay better than a 5% boost to all damage that also gives you a 15% increase to all damage taken.
It's even easier with caster builds, as they literally have a general +4/8% increase to all damage talisman, meaning the Marika scar/soreseal are even easier to test. Is the damage gained from +3/5 faith greater or lower than a 4/8% increase? If so, the Flock/Graven talismans will give a better damage boost than the seal talismans.
At some specific level, the +5 vigor gained no longer offsets the +15% damage increase enemies gained, such going from Vigor 50 to 55 will give you around 100 more HP, which means if any enemy can deal more than 666 damage(lol what are the odds), which is basically all bosses in late game, you aren't actually gaining more effective HP since the bosses are dealing more damage than you gained HP. At that point, consider whether or not the damage bonus gained via the +5 strength and dex is greater than the damage you could get from another talisman, and if it isn't, then there's no reason to use it since +5 endurence is not at all worth a full slot when compared to the various Arsenal talismans that do the same thing but better.
Tragically, it makes Marika's scarseal really shit, since you get it in Elphael. That means you need to not only bum rush straight for the Haligtree, but also defeat 2 rune bearers, Morgott, and then Loretta, meaning you are almost certainly at the point where +5 to caster related stats isn't at all worth it, ESPECIALLY considering you don't even get a vigor boost either, just a mind boost.
You can get a bit more life out of them if you use them to meet requirements and use the levels for more important stats, but that still doesn't help much after your primary stats meet their first softcaps
If he wants to take in account what you gain not using it as well then losing 20 extra levels should be also included. There was a similar argument brought out in ds3 per the prisoners chain and 15 levels at high levels was worth it. Not sure about elden ring here but if damage taken is similar across games there’s further arguments for it because 20 levels is absolutely insane. 20 levels can bring you so much more variety in a build. I am speaking out of ass here because I haven’t even really touched this game yet but it is bought and I’m delving and interested in thoughts over this
I’m at this point now where I don’t think the damage I’m taking is worth it
