I am in Sydney Australia and my Father Victor Shaw came here in 1908 from Belfast. I was born in 1935 and he used to sing "My Lagan Love" to me when I was a baby. It is one of my earliest memories and it has stayed with me all my 88 years. Michael's rendition is quite beautiful. I must find the sheet music.
This is another one of the most plaintive beautiful love songs performed by Michael and the group... it’s almost a lament it is so full of emotion , achingly beautiful with a mixture of desire and sorrow. Beautiful arrangement. I miss Ireland so much.
