Loen Skylift is STUNNING! - Olden - P&O Iona Norwegian Fjords

- We start today with an absolutely stunning cruise along the #Nordfjorden before docking at Olden. We then take a trip on the #LoenSkylift to the top of Mount Hoven and enjoy some absolutely breathtaking views of the fjords and mountains. We're lucky enough to spot some base jumpers in wing suits jumping from the side of the mountain.
Returning to the ship we enjoy an evening meal at Sindhu while watching the beautiful fjords pass by the ship. We also check out the Glass House in the Atrium and Andersons gin bar to try the Marabelle gin distilled on Iona. We end the evening relaxing on the balcony and even get a pass from the International Space Station.
This is our first ever cruise and we've chosen to travel on the P&O Iona ship in May 2024, stopping off at Stavanger, Olden, Ålesund & Haugesund. We have activities booked at all four ports! We're also checking out the onboard offerings, dining, drinks... Come along and see how we get on!

Yeah, I couldn't tire of looking at those views, just spectacular. Loved Olden, such a pretty place to stop. I'm not a gin drinker but I did try it and it seemed nice.
Olden looked wonderful, those base jumpers are mental. Olden looks very pretty like Flåm was to us. We were up at 4 whilst sailing into flam, it took hours, we kept dozing and waking up, was showered by 7, had breakfast. Went for a sleep in afternoon. So so beautiful. Your boat doesn’t look as busy as ours. Are the meals all in the price of the cruise?
I don't know how busy the ship was, we did tend to get lucky with our timings but it would be noticeably busier in between the shows kicking out. Food was included, but some of the restaurants had extra cost or upcharge items. Flåm would definitely be on our list for a future cruise too.
That was a great vlog, felt like we were right there with you! When the people were on the cliff at first it took a few seconds to sink in that they were about to jump off! Wow 😮 Olden looked incredible and you had great views from your cabin. Thanks for sharing
Really loved this video, the next one is a good one too for the scenery! The base jumpers were so cool, I wish I was brave enough to try it!
some great vlogs guys, I do love the idea of a cruise but don't fancy the idea of having to queue with everyone else for all the amenities . was that the case with you guys or was it fairly chilled ? thanks
I think there were times when it was busy, but we're usually pretty good about avoiding crowds... I'm now sure just how busy our actual cruise was to be honest. We rarely struggled to get a seat or drinks, but we were avoiding places with louder entertainment on for the most part. Then the cabin was just super relaxed and a lovely place to be when we were in the Fjords.
