THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK you!!!!! I struggled on my last 2 rugs. I had to cut by hand in between runs. and then settle for cutting the entire rug with electric shears once I was done to get rid of imperfections of loops. You made my gun feel new again.🙏

I have the AK-1. My scissors open and close but it seems like they dont reach the yarn sometimes or only cut 1 out of the 2 strands of yarn. I just replaced my scissors so its not that. I am using cotton yarn (Sugar and Cream brand). Seems to work fun with the crappy acrylic yarn which isnt as dense. But not with the cotton, paper like yarn. Kind of frustrating. The primary job of the gun is to cut the yarn- feel like it should do that without adjustments
Hey Joseph, it should yes. It could be that it is to many threads through the machine. If the yarn is thicker, you can use 1 thread instead of two. Since the scissors are very small, the thicker yarn somethimes tends to slip out in the front of the scissors, leaving one strand uncut. Can you try with one thread and check if it is still inconsisten with the cutting? Otherwise we also do have a full scissors tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/rxjCiZn6z7U/v-deo.html where we cover all the setting topics of the scissors we are aware of. If all this still is not solving your problem, feel free tosend me an email to help@tuftinglove.com with some pictures/videos of the situation, so i can have a look at it. best Jenni

A lot of patience and a needle or pointy scissors :) I know it sucks.... but that's still the easiest way. taking apart everything will cause much more pain, believe me :)
Hey Natalie, i don't know the ones that are not the original ones. I never had one, so i can't tell if it is working like that as well, but i guess it's worth a try :) Make sure to note/take picutres of the current state first, so in case it doesn't work you can go back to your current settings.
Hey Zara, like between the scissors and the needle? Or which parts? This can happen when the scissors don't cut properly anymore. But also the thickness and quality of the yarn have an impact on it.
@@craftinfinityandbeyond9023 That should not be the problem. The thinner the yarn the more threads you can thread. Would you maybe like to send me pictures of the yarn and the situation with the gun to help@tuftinglove.com? So i can see it, that makes it usually a bit easier :)

Hello. Do you have any ideas why the scissors wouldn’t close all the way even after adjusting? Also, I confirmed nothing was broken. They were working fine but now won’t cut sometimes
@@Tuftinglove thank you for the reply. If I haven’t adjusted the pile height and this suddenly started happening, would you advise I adjust the pile height and try adjusting the scissors until fully closing?

I was my girlfriends hero, the tufting gun wasnt cutting the string anymore and i noticed she was cutting it by hand with scissors. Hah thank you
For some reason when I try to use the Alan key on the black bolt it won’t unscrew I tried all my strength I don’t know what to do
Sometimes the screws get super stuck. try to put a bit of oil/Lubricant on the screw and you're usually able to unscrew it.

My yarn keeps getting stuck inbetween the scissors and the metal runner part where the scissors are held, do you know why that could be?

It might be the yarn or they are not sharp enough anymore. Replace the scissors with spare ones or let them sharpen.

If you go on a too high or too low pileheight setting the machine will not be adjustable to your needs. make sure you are within the given range

Hm, my guess would be the scissors opener. Maybe it's broken or flattened down. or the scissors need some oil on the joint, to open smoother.
Do you know the size of that Allen wrench? Bc I have a tool with several sizes, one actually fits, but none is making it turn to loosen, plz help! :)

That screw on the side is stuck for me I tried with all my force and won't unscrew
