    Would love to see a video with your darts collection one day, or perhaps only the most unique ones. Did not expect number 4.... thanks for not adding that clickbait to the video title :P "number 4 will definitely surprise you!!!!"

      😂 No click bait on this channel. I'm honestly not much of a collector. I get rid of most of my sets so I don't keep playing with different sets all the time. The big collector is the Darts Review Channel. He has 1000's of darts and I know people have bugged him for ages to upload a look at his collection. Would probably be one of his most watched videos if he did it

    Thank you WWD for the great dart videos. I've taken up darts since COVID started and your videos have helped me make some purchases that are working out really well for me. In particular, Designa Dark Thunder, Red Dragon Double Agent (Pegasus) and Javelin. Also, because I've been buying low- price tungsten darts, the flight punch purchase has been a smart purchase. Thanks for your help.

    As of now I only have one set of darts, I've had them for 20+ years and as a weekend player I've had no reason to even look at other darts, however lately I've started playing more, I find my old bottleson devistator hammerhead darts slip from my fingers too often, the paint has completely worn off and they are like mirrors, after seeing your review of gabriel clemens generation 1 darts I ordered myself a set, should be here Thursday, I'm hoping they will be my match set

    I have tried lots of different darts since I started to play again 2 years ago now, it had been 37 years as a youth when I last played for a team.
    Big shout out from me for the 22g Simon Whitlock soft tip convertable darts and the 22g Gerwyn price soft tip convertable darts but in the end I simply designed my own darts and had them made in 95% Tungsten in the Uk by Custom made darts, in the Taylor or Lowe shaped barrels with simple ring grips to stop big deflections that you get with close grouping with many of the modern heavy grip darts.
    They are also M3 type darts which means with outer threads to get the weight density with the short 40mm long and 6.9mm at the middle widest point and spot on matched 20g barrels.
    I have used literally around 50 or 60 different sets of darts to work out exactly what I required and then I had my own made, top quality 95% tungsten seemingly unmarkable and with the screw in M3 points for steel tip which are 37mm and the Kite shape flights they are trebles and bullseye magnets in both steel tip and soft tip formats..
    So impressed by the M3 style darts that since then I have picked up a couple of sets of the long thin mass produced sets from Empire darts from ebat , one set are steel tip 5,5mm barrel 54mm long in 22g, the other set soft tip 20g 5,6mm 20g soft tip set up 22g steel tip set up. I still have my original darts 28.3 gram Custom made darts taylor style darts and a set of 2ba 5.8mm soft tip darts from custom darts.
    I love to throw different sets as I get bored throwing the same set all the time, lockdown has meant throwing lots of darts for me, I am lucky as I have a steel tip board in the house and a i Darts soft tip board that links to the internet so I get to play against players all over the wold online.
    When lockdown is over I will show these M3 slim darts to my Portuguese darts team mates as they will love them and let them try them even have them for my cost... but for me the M3 outside thread Taylor or John Lowe shaped barrels with simple ring grips that I designed and had hand made by Custom made darts in the UK are my serious match darts for both steel and soft tip.

    Alright WWD, don’t know if you remember but I recently sent you a pic of the Dennis Priestley special edition darts I got, i’am really enjoying throwing them but they are just a little bit grippy, so I was going to get his standard set that you showed up here but I cannot see them anywhere in 24g and I was wondering was this dart made in 24g at all, the special edition do.

      Worldwide Darts thanks m8, yeah the 23g and 25g seem to be widely available, I think I’ll take a chance on one of those it’s not like their top price range and i’am loving the barrel shape it seems easier to get a repeat throw with them which is difficult enough for me. Got to agree with you m8 their a fantastic dart 👍

    What made you go with super kite flights ? Did you ever use standard before ?
    Also why do you prefer light weights (14 through 18 grams) vs heavier (20 through 24 etc..) ??

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  5 років тому +1

      Hi Randy thanks for the comment. When I first started playing I used standard sized flights. When I got hit with a severe case of dartitis back in 1999 I switched to lighter darts and discovered they fly better (for me) with small flights.
      My buddy who was sponsored by Cosmo sent me some Superkites back in 2015 and I've been using them ever since. The closest comparable "normal" flight is the Target Vision Edge Taylor flights.

    I love you but how many world champions have used less then 20 gram darts the greatest Phil Taylor threw 26 gms . Your results are very good but I don't know how you'd cure dartitis without really "feeling the weight".- Bristow. But still I'd watch you over the Dart Referee or Edgar TV keep it up.

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  3 роки тому +1

      Stephen Bunting used 12 gram darts to win his BDO world title and two World Masters titles. Ted Hankey used 14 grams to win his world titles. Dennis Priestley uses 15 grams and won a couple world titles. Bob Anderson used 18 grams when he won his world title. BDO world champions Tony David and John Walton both used sub 20 gram darts and the last BDO world champion used a 20g barrel. Former PDC #1 Colin Lloyd played with 17 grams back in the day.
      Then if you have a look at the current top 32 PDC players in the world they use a dart that weighs less than 22 grams. Something like 21.95 grams on average. So there's plenty of players that have used extremely light darts. From my experience it seems like a lot of North American players prefer heavier darts. I think they use heavy darts because of the shorter formats. Or who knows, maybe it's part of the culture here. But yeah, plenty of players today use light darts so for many it's worth a try.
