    Do they do train rides at Whitehead or is it just a museum? I’ll have to visit!

      On the day I visited it was just a museum but I think they sometimes do train rides. The also do some main line steam excursions!

    Hi. The museum is a great place to visit with lots to see. Yes the LMS owned the NCC so operations where done as per LMS rules/regs. Not sure if you remember a poster of a steam loco being built being raised above its running gear, well that was a painting of a NCC tank engine ( a Jeep) ring built for the NCC but when it was realised that it was T a mainland loco the markings where changed lol

      @@HenrysAdventuresNow you you know that the 15 Guinea special was a crock of you know what when it comes to the end of commercial mainline steam in the UK.
      Number 186 and 184 will never steam again on the mainline as they would struggle to deal with the modern railway.
      That model locomotive used to be in York road Belfast and could run if you put in pre decimal coinage.
      The Great Northern Railway of Ireland survived until 1958 when its assets were split between Córas Iompair Éireann and Ulster Transport Authority.
      The green industrial locomotive was used in the Lough Swilly port railway which was both Irish standard and narrow gauge so the only dual gauge railway in Ireland

    Hi there Henry, I am actually an engineer at Whitehead railway museum. 7:11 that green frame belongs to a locomotive which we are building at the moment and it's gonna be named 'Mogul'. I am hearing that there is a British Mogul too. Is that true?

    • @HenrysAdventures
      @HenrysAdventures  Рік тому +1

      Thank you for watching and the info. Yes, we have a few Mogul locos like the U Class and the 4MT class.
