    Will is practically the only acrylic artist on youtube not teaching kitsch. I actually learn things from him.

      Exactly, so many of the acrylic tutorials out there seem to just paint "pretty" more like a children's book illustration rather than anything grown up or painterly... where you're paying attention to drawing, values, shapes, visible brush strokes etc.

    When I was dropped on earth I got a good ear and an affinity for languages and music. I happened across these videos by chance and I’m in awe. Think I might sell my piano and buy some paint 😄

    Thank you very much! These tutorials helped me so much with my paintings and taught me how to not stress over the details from the first... I learnt to start my painting without stressing how to start and find it eventually during the procedure! Loads of love and support !!!

    Just what I needed, when I needed it. The UA-cam algorithm has been failing me recently, and then it brought me here. The content and tone of your tutorial is excellent. Keep up the good work!

    Found you on the post about hanging paintings and noticed your tutorial links, in particular, the one about Cornish Winter light. St. Ives is my favourite place in the world. Had a holiday home in Hayle when I was married and frequented St.Ives. This is someone from California speaking. Every artist should experience this breathtaking coastal light this charming seaside town is known for. So many beautiful galleries.

    Hi Will. I’ve been following you on UA-cam for a while and I really like your approach. So I dared putting on canvas the lovely apples today. Had a lot of fun and doubts but not bad of a result for my first steps. Just wanted to thank you. Salut!

    That's very nice,is loose but looks realistic at the same time I really loved the projected shadow in the apple of the left, you can see the blue and burnt umber, is not a flat shadow. I love your tutorials keep making more please😪

    I really enjoyed the tutorial! Inspirational! The theme, the subject was really nice for the impressionistic style. The explanation was to the point and made so much sense. Now I know what I'll use my 30x30 canvas I was keeping in my closet for a while :)

    Great video. It has helped ease some of my painting stage freight that keeps me from starting a new painting. I am curious what you use as a palette to mix your paints on? Thank you for sharing some of your amazing content for free! So grateful 🥰🙌

    How come acrylic doesn’t get dry? My acrylic paint get dry too fast for me. So I always use a lot of paint when I mix the colors. And what is the liquid next to your painting?
    Thank you for great video!

    • @willkempartschool
      @willkempartschool  4 роки тому +1

      Due to the volume of paint and the speed of the painting process. The medium is an acrylic glazing liquid, I pour some out in Part 1.
      Cheers,
      Will
