For me,
It feels like a prince / princess who's always nice but always getting hurt over and over again from their family and society's high expectation. To them, getting the crown is the only goal, and their worth lies in it. They worked day in and day out, burning themselves to a point of no return.
But at the end? Their father didn't chose them.
Because of immense anger and hatred, they rebelled and killed all of the imperial family and got the crown, sat on the throne and reigned the world, proving them that they're wrong.
If this was made in to an anime, it is going to be a banger!

This song gives me a picture in my head. A princess and prince falls in love with each other but wind up being separated because their kingdoms refused to it. When the princess finally risks everything to get to the prince she learns that he betrayed her and fell for someone else so he could steal the crown. The princess falls apart, her heart turning dark . While the prince falls into his own darkness, becoming overpowered and strong no longer caring about the world around him. Thus began a century long war between two kingdoms with two people who’s hearts have turned to ice.

The cover artist is Austrian, so English isn’t his first language - it’s also pitched which means that it sounds different to the original anyway 😊
