In this video I show you the basics of finger tapping, how to get started and a few other tips and tricks like how to hold you guitar pick for quick access when you need to change back to it.
Guitar tapping was made really popular when Eddie Van Halen released his wicked guitar solo track 'Eruption'. Ever since then, guitar players have been fascinated with the technique.
The great news is, that it's actually a lot easier than it sounds, and even if you're a relative beginner, you can still learn the technique and sound great!

Could you relate the notes you are playing to what backing chords work with the notes? Or is this just for stand alone in the spotlight moments? Do you have another video that explains hot to add tapping to enhance a solo while playing with a band? Thanks

Can it still be played if I had lost the tip of my index finger of the left hand, I did learn how to play my guitar playing bar cords, and eventually playing lead one note pattern with the tip of the index finger which did hurt at first, but there is no tip like a normal fingertip, and sometimes I hit two strings although one sounds muffled.
