Uh.. No. 8 is not the *Crossrail MRT Line (Crossrail/Elizabeth Line is from the UK Underground),* it's the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL), from Woodlands North to Sungei Bedok via Gardens By the Way and Marina Bay.
You missed out a few even bigger projects. The DTSS, the NSC, and last but not least SP Group's underground power grid system going as deep as 20 storeys below the surface. Singapore builds like no country has ever done relative to its size! 😮
Yeah. The title is weird. What is there to ‘overtake’ These 10 ‘mega projects’ seem very routine to me and I believe to ALL Singaporean as well. The author seems ‘out of tuned’ and behind time. One Mega Project announce in 2024 should be the ‘Long Island’ project. Check this out in the internet.
No country should try to overtake any other country by building more stuff or else it would just be another white elephant. I dont think Singapore is building these to overtake any other countries.

The line that connects from Woodlands to Marina Bay is called Thomson East Coast Line. Secondly, our Port Authority is Maritime Not Marine. Last but not least Changi is pronounced Chanyee, not Chan gii, or in your case Changing. Without these mistakes your production is pretty flattering but please keep the errors to minimum or we rather you not promote us. Also, pls don't pit us against our good neighbours. What do you mean overtake? Whats the matrix? Land Size? Population? Natural Resources? Coastlines? Using bait headlines is not helpful for our bilateral relations and we rather not flatter us mischievously while making our neighbour look weak. We may compete well economically for survival but those matrixes mentioned, we can NEVER overtake Malaysia. We are and will always be a tiny red dot. Tq
Sg does not carry out mega projects for namesake or just to put it on Guinness Book of World Records. In Sg govt projects be it big or small has to fulfill 2 basic fundamental requirements : (1) Does it benefit Sg not only now but in the long run too, enhance the future of SG and bring investments into Sg? (2) Does it benefit Singaporeans and make live more convenient and better for their overall well being?

@@PeterHein-xd1lm HDB flats are spacious and well designed. Some are very luxurious. Not ‘birdcage’ like you envisioned. Go take a look at HDB, ‘The Pinnacle’ or the recent completed 56 storey ‘Avenue South Residences’ projects. They are luxurious and world classed.
